Hello fellow Roleplayers,

First and foremost, I don't post request threads often. Mostly I stick to the shadows and find partners through other threads. Currently, however, I am having trouble finding any threads that pique my interest. So here we are. If you're the skimming type, I've bolded all the important bits. See spoiler below for about me. The general idea is that I'm looking to play a specific character and need your help in coming up with a plot/storyline to insert him into.

About Me
I am currently only in the mood to play a male main character. In fact, at the moment I have an itch to play a specific male character. I am quite capable of playing either gender, I'm just in the mood to play a male right now. That being said, I will play a male against either a male or a female. Keep reading below to see more information on the character I'm craving to play.

Romance is not a must, but it is a bonus. Unless we start with our characters already in a relationship, there will be no insta-romance. It's unrealistic and impractical that you fall madly in love with someone the first time you lay eyes on them. In fact, I enjoy the chase, the buildup, the tension that comes with two individuals slowly developing feelings for one another.

Currently only in the mood for modern-day slice-of-life. I don't mind stretching some details to make the world fit our characters and goals, but I don't feel like world-building.

I want to write a story. I want something I can figuratively sink my teeth into. I want to wake up every morning and reach for my phone, eager to either read or type a reply.

My Character
Samuel Chorster never planned on becoming a hitman. As a child he never lay awake at night imagining himself shooting someone. Never in his wildest dreams would he imagine one day being able to know the best way to kill a man and make it look like an accident. That was exactly what he became though. Life is funny that way. Throwing unexpected surprises your way.

During his senior year at high school, something happened that turned his world upside down. He and his best friend vowed that together they would right the wrong done to them, by any means necessary. And they did. After thirteen long years of hard work and planning, together they have finally achieved their goals. In the process, Samuel became something new. A killer.

With one last and final kill, however, Samuel has not only achieved what he and his best friend set out to do, but he's walking away with more money in his bank account than any sane person could spend in a lifetime. Now he's left wondering... What's next? Lonely, bored, suddenly having a lack of ambition and no goal for his life, he turns to drinking. He hopes it will silence the voices in his head. Turn away his demons. Help him forget. Help him remember. It does none of this. He still lays awake at night imagining all the faces of all the people's he's killed... And itching to pick up his gun again. His old friend.

Your Character and Introduction
Your character can be anyone. Male, female, rich, poor. They could be an out of work actress/actor looking to score their next role. Or a server at a high end restaurant. Some innocent witness to a crime. There is one thing set in stone. Your character unknowing lives next door to Samuel on the thirteenth floor of a highrise apartment in New York City. Manhattan to be precise. Rent is steep and owning your own apartment is outrageous. Owning a car is impractical and public transportation is both a necessary part of life, and something to be dreaded. You never know what kind of person you'll run into on the streets.

Our story will begin on a day when your character is having a no good, very bad day. Why their day is bad, I'll leave up to you, but it will culminate into your character arriving home at three o'clock in the morning. He or she will have two arms full of groceries they've carried from the nearest grocery store and be trying to get into their apartment... Only to discover that they've lost their keys somewhere on the way home. After the bad day they've had, it's enough to perhaps bring them to tears. That's when Samuel comes down the hall. He's returning from a late night of drinking. He sees the plight your character is in and offers to let him or her come join him in his apartment until they can get someone around to open the door...

What happens from there will be up to us to determine. Come at me with ideas. Tell me who your character is and where you picture this story going. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
