Issue [SOLVED] Brave Browser Won't Do Push Notifications?

I utilize Brave Browser because it has built-in ad-blockers. Absolute time saver when watching YouTube. Anyways, I've run into a problem with it here on BMR. I've opted in for push notifications multiple times, but not only have I not received any notifications on Brave, it seems the site/browser forgets that I opted in for notifications, and the "Blue Moon would like your permission to enable push notifications" pops up on almost a daily basis. Is there anyone familiar with Brave who might know what/if I'm doing anything wrong?
 
Do notifications work for other websites? If you go to Bluemoon's Preferences menu and scroll down to Push Notifications, does it indicate whether notifications are enabled?

Not a Brave user myself, but I've noticed similar behaviour on Firefox in incognito mode, in which case the Preferences menu says that my browser doesn't support notifications. It could be that something similar is going on here.

I checked and it did say that the browser doesn't support notifications.
 
I am sadly unfamiliar with Brave, but I am curious if notifications work for other sites with it? If so, then it might be a site specific incompatibility with Brave and BMR.

I haven't enabled push notifications on other sites except maybe RP Mansion (site's damn near a ghost town, so I can't be sure about push notifications from them. However, Brave does do push notifications about different things like cryptocurrency, the stock market, etc., which I turned off, and have turned back on. It made no difference.
 
Strange. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with Brave, or I would try to work out a better solution - it may just be they don't work for the site and the browser.
 
I use Brave browser too and this is a problem I've had too. A quick Google search lead me to the solution of going to the browser settings, under Privacy and Security, and clicking on "Use Google services for push messaging" and enabling that. You're then prompted to relaunch the browser and it works.

Just followed this advice. Just need to see if I get a ping.
 
Should work theoretically, since enabling push notifications on the preferences page doesn't show the error message anymore, but I wouldn't really be able to tell since I don't think I've ever actually used push notifications. I did constantly get the same prompt to enable push notifications for over a year on the daily just like you said.

Was too lazy to look up a solution though.
