Hello all! Here’s the basic idea: MC, through some reason or another, is granted a book of rules! Anything written within the book becomes automatically true, regardless of whether it should be possible or not, and everyone acts as though it has always been true!

Here's a small sample of how our story could go:'

Marissa rubbed her eyes as she slowly awoke from one of the strangest dreams she ever had. Not that it was unpleasant in any way, but women weren't exactly her type, at least as far as she could remember, and the curvy blonde that she had just dreamed about was causing her some confusion. The woman had introduced herself as a deity, some kind of protection spirit, for "The Rulebook" (Something that could only have existed in her dreams). That was about as much as she could remember, especially with her mind now constantly drifting to the image of the woman bending over and showing off cleavage that made Marissa incredibly jealous.

She sighed and threw her feet over the edge of the bed before standing up and stretching. It was Saturday, and she had plenty of homework for her college courses she needed to get done. Her roommate Claire was usually working on Saturdays, so she had the apartment to herself for the next few hours at least, and she planned to take full advantage of that fact.

The redhead undressed, dropping her pajamas onto her bed, and grabbed a towel before heading to their shared bathroom, the towel hanging over her shoulder. She turned the water on hot and let it steam before stepping inside with a yawn. She scrubbed her body carefully, making sure every part of her was as clean as possible before starting on her hair. Saturdays were always for cleaning her hair thoroughly, because it was the one day she was sure her hair could dry before she needed to do anything with it.

Nearly 45 minutes later, Marissa stepped out of the shower and began to dry herself off. She wrapped her hair in a towel and brushed her teeth as she looked over herself in the mirror. Marissa had never really loved the way she looked. Nearly everyone she met assumed she was 5 years younger than she really was, not that she blamed them. She was barely 5 feet tall, she couldn't put on weight, and her breasts were A cups only because that was the smallest size one could be. She was cute, sure, but no one took her seriously. She was just a child to them, and she hated it.

Still, life went on.

Marissa re-wrapped the towel around her waist and walked back to her bedroom to get dressed. She left the door open behind her since no one else was home, and was about to set her towel down when she saw something weird. Her bed was made, her pajamas were folded, and a small book sat on her bed. She looked around, immediately worried that someone had managed to break into their home. She certainly hadn't made her own bed, not before she got into the shower, and she never folded her pajamas, even when she did make her bed. Not only that, but the journal was not something she had ever seen before... right?

The memory of her dream began to come back to her. It wasn't possible. Surely it wasn't. But the book... it looked nearly identical to the one the woman in her dream had. Or, the one the woman in the dream had promised to give to Marissa. She didn't believe it, of course, who would believe someone in their own dream? But there is was, a plain, unmarked, and leather-bound book.

She walked forward slowly and reached for the book. It was definitely real, and lighter than it looked too. She hadn't noticed before, but there was even a pen attached to the book with a small cord. She was more concerned with the contents of the book though, and opened it to a random page to see what was in it... but it was blank. She quickly flipped to another page, which was yet again blank. Again and again Marissa flipped to a random page, only to find each one blank. She looked over every page in the book, but there was only one page she could find with any writing on it at all - the very first page of the book.

The Rules

Only truth can be written on these pages.
Do not lose, destroy, or otherwise remove this book from the material plane.

Have fun

Marissa looked over the small bit of writing in the book again and again, trying to understand what this thing was. A book that could only have truth written in it? How would that even work? She shook her head before getting lost in the semantics of it and let out a deep breath she didn't realize she had been holding. Clearly this was just some joke her roommate was playing on her. After all, who would break into their apartment just to make her bed and give her a random book? She laughed out loud, trying to calm herself down. It was a joke, it had to be. But she wouldn't be made fun of like this so easily. So she walked back to her door and shut it just in case Claire was still home.

She dropped her towel to the floor and was about to get dressed when she looked back at the book. If this really was just a joke, why did she have a dream about it? How did she know this was going to happen? It just didn't make any sense! She looked around her room one more time to make sure nobody was there before picking up the book. She read through the first page one more time. "Only truth can be written on these pages." Did that mean if she tried to write a lie it wouldn't write? Or did it mean something else?

She picked up the pen and opened the book to its first blank page. She could feel her breathing getting deeper, as if somehow she knew that this was going to be one of the most important moments of her life. She didn't even fully realize what she was writing down either. It was almost like her body already knew what the book was, and had already decided what it wanted, even before her mind had wrapped itself around what was happening.

Marissa, the owner of the book, has huge breasts.

She blushed as she read what she had written in the book. Why would she have written that? Her breasts had always been big, it was one of the reasons her back hurt all the time. If she really wanted to see if the book was real or not, she would have to try and write something she knew was wrong. Something like...

Marissa, the owner of the book, is over 6 feet tall.

She shook her head as her vision blurred for a moment. She looked down at the words she had written, once again confused. She was supposed to write something that wasn't true, but she had once again written something rather obviously true. But this time she paused. Did she actually write down something that wasn't true? Did the book do this? She supposed it was possible that the book was changing her memory. And if that was the case she needed to know.

Marissa, the owner of the book, will remember all changes made by writing within the book.

Marissa took a sudden deep breath as her memories came flooding back to her. "Holy shit..." she gasped aloud, now absolutely certain of the power of her book. It had actually changed her body! She could barely hold back her excitement. It worked!!! She was no longer the child that everyone seemed to think she was. She was an absolute knockout now!

And she intended to do something with this new body of hers.
