The BlackStar Voyage: A Science-Fiction, Space Exploration Group Rp Interest Check

This is a Group Rp that I’ve been interested in doing for a while now and have worked on a bit. But I wanted to see if there is any interest for it on here, so here is the basic plot I had for it.

This Group Rp would follow the adventures of the ship BlackStar and her crew. Earth was attacked 50 years ago by a race of aliens called the Xenti, or the Scum as they were dubbed, that nearly lead to the destruction of the planet. Humans were barely able to defeat the attacking race, but the price was heavy. Much of Earth was war torn and could not support the human population, not to mention the many alien prisoners that were rescued from the Scum's ships. Bright minds were able to salvage the Scum's alien tech and use it to build Scanners that searched deep space for a Planet that could used as a second home for the people of earth. A massive world was discovered that looked promising and a spacecraft was built, called the BlackStar.

A group of humans and aliens took to space in the ship, their job to research the planet, named Novus, to see if it was suitable place to live and if so, start building a colony on it.

This Rp will take place on Novus and the BlackStar. And while the BlackStar was made to support up to 40 people the crew starting out is just a skeleton crew of the basic needed people to run the ship and research the new worlds, but the ship does have a teleporter that can bring new crew members from Earth.

Hopefully people find this interesting and want to build the characters and the world for this idea.

Are you going to outline roles for the crew? Is someone going to RP as the captain and commanding officers? Are you going to GM or lead the narrative as a PC?

I'm tentatively interested... but need some clarity on the roles available, as well as the posting expectations.

I am tentatively interested also.

Any hints as to themes regarding adult material ? Will there be non-con or xeno stuff ? Would futanari characters be allowed ? etc

I am definitely a huge sci-fi nerd, so count me in as well. That said, I have noticed a few things that make me scratch my head. One, if the aliens were attacking earth, why are they suddenly crewing a ship alongside humans? If they are different aliens, you should specify as such. Two, in most sci-fi that has telelportation/beaming technology, this technology has a limited range. So once the Blackstar leaves Earth orbit, you'd have to come up with a way that the teleporter can work across many light-years of space. Something akin to the Stargates could work in that role.

i think the Xenti had captured other aliens that were freed once they were defeated, and those aliens can now be counted amongst the human populace?

If so, that would wrap my first concern up with a neat little bow indeed.
My main plot hole concern is:
A massive world was discovered that looked promising...
Being the space nerd that I am, I am aware that the more massive a planet, the higher its gravity. Therefore, a massive planet (I'm assuming as compared to Earth) would have massively greater gravity (as compared to Earth). So, are the humans expected to live out in the open planet without any environmental compensation? Or maybe we're doing a Pandorum feature and adapting their genetics to their new home?

I missed that, dang. I must be slipping! LOL! Also, how fast does the ship travel? If it has faster-than-light drive technology, how does it work? Is it volatile, requiring a delicate balance in the style of Star Trek's matter/antimatter warp drive? Or is it relatively stable, like Star Wars' hyperdrive?

I vote Event Horizon travel-style. lol
Gateway to the Warp Hell! (No Gellar Fields, obviously)

I apologize for not noticing the attention that my thread was getting! I’m happy that all of you have expressed interest in my idea and I’ll try to answer all of your questions.
