Hello folks, my name is zenith, and I like writing bad guys.
I'm currently looking for something quite specific, which is a captor/captive pairing with heavy emphasis on the relationship and the characters' psyche. Think Stockholm Syndrome, hurt/comfort, and eventual romance(?). I'm a fairly experienced writer, longtime lurker on BMR, and aim for daily replies (give or take) with around 500-1000 words each.

They say revenge is best served cold, but he'd never believed in that. Since he'd been old enough to think, he'd vowed to punish the pretender and his bloodline for taking his birthright. Smuggled out as a swaddled bundle by his nursemaid, the lone surviving prince grew up with promises of power, promises of blood. Decades later, he achieved it, leading the loyalist houses in a bloody civil war to reclaim the crown. Rivers ran red with blood, and thousands of men died for a king they did not even know. Victory was achieved, yet he found it hollow. The pretender, once a beastly warlord, was now frail and old, and begged for mercy as he was dragged off to the gallows. The bastard's son, a boy with barely any chin hairs, challenged him to a duel that would be dishonourable for him to accept. The promised land of riches and luxury was a crippled kingdom beset at all sides by enemies.
And most insulting of all, he was advised by his inner circle to marry his eldest daughter, to bring the kingdom together in peace.
The former princess was beloved by the court, graceful and possessing the voice of an angel and a beauty that left men in awe. She navigated politics like a practised dance and held sway over many important nobles. And despite the crown on his head, he was a stranger in his own court. By all rights, she would make a fine queen, but for the sins of her father, she would bleed all the same.

So the set up is pretty simple; coup d'Γ©tat, and the captive princess (YC) is forced into a marriage with the new king (MC).

- The Characters: I see MC being less of a brutish barbarian and more cunning and intelligent. He knows keeping up a united front would be good for both of them, so he's willing to stomach YC, but behind closed doors he'd make a sport out of tormenting her, physically and psychologically. YC is yours to mold, obviously, but I'm looking for a character that has some teeth. Doesn't mean she has to be extremely bratty and fight tooth and nail every scene, but she shouldn't just roll over at the snap of the fingers. At least let her get trained first, you know? I see them being fairly close in age, around mid 20s to early 30s, with vastly different upbringings and views on life.
- Creative Cruelty: I'm looking for the roleplay to be fairly dark. I'm not too big a fan of plain physical abuse, and much prefer a more subtle approach - making her give him a private show performing a dance practised to perfection, but barefoot on shards of shattered glass; thin, light scars on her back that would be barely visible, and putting her in a dress that shows them off; keeping her in isolation and making her dependant on him for any human contact, etc. You get the idea. Point is, I'd appreciate someone who can come with their own uniquely cruel ideas as well.
- Stockholm/Lima Syndrome: They don't start out as the best of friends, but eventually, they could come to depend on each other and connect on some level. It won't be love and it won't be pretty, but there should be a pretty intense attachment between them that's hard to quantify and make sense of.
let him kiss away the bruises he caused - Kink vs Smut: So when it comes to sex scenes (and RPing in general) I prefer to indulge in kinks rather than smut, and I think scenes can be steamy without any sex involved. Maybe even more so. And really, there's only so much dick sliding and throat gurgling one can write.
- My kinks relating to this plot are (but not limited to): painal, leashes and collars, forced clotheswearing, choking, impact play, branding, humiliation; subject to discussion.
- Word Count: I'm not too pressed about word counts because I'd much rather have quality over quantity, but as a general rule, I stay around the 700 ballpark, as I can get in quite a lot of detail and scene progression while still replying in a timely manner. If posts get too long, post rates tend to drop off a cliff. I'd rather have shorter, consistent posts that keep the momentum going.
- OOC Stuff: I'm pitching to play a very despicable person, but I am a very mellow fellow irl. Some people don't like much ooc talk and I respect that, but I personally love chatting with my partners and becoming friends outside of the story. And purely anecdotal, but I've found good ooc rapport is needed for stories to last. My discord is available if you prefer that (I certainly do), you just need to ask.
