The Search Begins…

Hi reader! You guys can call me Moon. I’m a 24 y/o female that’s been writing since I was 15 or 16 (I honestly can’t remember when I started exactly). I’ve been doing this for a long time, nonetheless, and I’ve found that writing is one of my biggest passions.

I’m hoping to find someone that would like to do a long-term RP with me. My RP’s I tend to like to be grand and epic, with story as the central focus of the series, not some smut-filled story that lacks depth in the plot, themes, characters, and symbolism.

(NOTE: this isn’t to say there can’t be smut. I obviously want that in the story. I just don’t want the plot/smut ratio to be far off balance for reasons you may deduce based on what I’m looking for as you continue to read.)

I love creating large worlds that are complex with characters within them that are equally so. I want to be writing a world that feels real, evolving, and characters (particularly a love story) that feels tense, genuine, and authentic, one that pulls at the heart strings as we see the plot progress and the characters grow and learn individually and together.

You might be asking yourself, “ok, but what exactly are you looking for in a partner?” Let me answer that question for you!

What I’m looking for…

• Novella-style Writing as a Preference, Not a Rule. I can forgive those who aren’t quite that level, but my preference is that.
• Building a World and Characters to Remember. I want someone interested in developing a world and characters that are complex and heart wrenching at that. I want the emotional weight to be palpable.
• Communication and Chatting. I’d like to have a good OoC chat rapport with one another. Part of the fun in RP’s is having a good partner to chat and joke around with. At least in my experience, it makes it even better.
• Weekly-Posting (Generally Speaking). I would like to have a fairly consistent posting schedule. It doesn’t have to be anything concrete, as I am busy IRL and I’m sure you are too. And sometimes, life happens. I’m forgiving about that, and I understand. But, if possible, I’d like to have at least weekly posting to move the RP and characters along.
• If You Aren’t Interested, Be Honest. If you feel like you’re no longer interested in the RP (should we start it), you can always be honest to me. I won’t take it personally, as I’ve been there and done that. Communication’s always key, and I won’t hold any grudges.

So enough about that. I think that gives a general idea of what I’m looking for in a partner. Now, let’s get into what I’m looking for in RP’s…

Pairings

I primarily do FxF. It’s my personal preference, and I’m more inclined to do that than anything else. That said, I’m not opposed to FxM. But the chances of that are less likely.

Genres/Settings

I typically like Modern or Historical settings. I don’t really like writing fantasy, and Sci-Fi is a matter of how Sci-Fi it really is. Generally speaking, mixing genres is normal. I just prefer Modern/Historical/Realistic settings. (I do like things that have fantastical or Sci-Fi elements too it, so don’t think I’m dismissive of it entirely.)

Pairings/Smut

Pairings aren’t something I focus on so much on. But that being said, I’m kind of vanilla on them. I don’t like things too extreme (BDSM, Violence, for example). But I am not against taboo things. There are some taboos I actually really like. I don’t have an F-List, but you’re more than welcome to ask me if something is ok with me. ​

What can you expect from me?

I’ve done a lot of talking about what I want from others, but what can you expect of me? I’ll tell you what exactly!​

• Consistency. I’m always consistent so long as life doesn’t throw a curveball at me. I generally post 2-3 times a week. But sometimes I post more.
• Chattiness and Communication. I love chatting OoC! On top of that, I always make sure to communicate anything that I think I need to say, or anything like that. Communication is key to a successful RP with someone else.
• Novella-Style Responses and Character/Story Depth. I am someone who writes very detailed, and writes a lot. It’s both a blessing and a curse, I suppose. Either way, I do not expect you to match my reply lengths. So don’t feel pressured by that at all! I also value character and story depth as well. Characters that feel real are so important to me, and everything I do with a character is purposeful in making them unique and realistic. Who doesn’t love characters like that?

Now there is one RP that I am interested in doing in particular, one that is very unique and different set in a historical time generally in the American Wild West but with some really different twists and genres mixing involved. I don’t want to go on about it here, as it would take even more space to write it out than I already have written thus far. I’m currently craving this like a hungry lion.
