Callie sighed heavily as she hit the snooze button for her alarm one more time. She was so exhausted since she'd been out way too late partying last night. She knew this wasn't very smart since she had a photo shoot to do today but she could never seem to stop herself. Ever since her mother's death she'd been partying and living more recklessly than she ever had before. She was never a very well behaved teenager but she wasn't this bad when her mother was alive. Now she was living on her own in a studio apartment with no guardians around to control her so she went out almost every night of the week. It was surprising that she could do photo shoots almost every day and still look amazing in them when she stayed out till at least three in the morning every night. She was just one of those girls who looked good almost all the time or maybe she was able to stay awake and be very alert all the time at work because of her little cocaine habit. This was another thing she started after her mother died. It made her feel better temporarily and it enabled her to go out every night and not be extremely tired the next day. She knew it was a cliche for models to do cocaine but she didn't care. She just had to make sure none of the photographers or the people at the modeling agency who represented her ever found out about it. She'd probably be fired immediately if they found out the new seventeen year old It Girl was also a drug addict.
To say Callie had a lot of problems would be an understatement. It all started when she was around thirteen years old. She could remember that day more than anything else in the world. It wasn't a memory she wanted to keep since it was a horrible one but sadly it was stuck in her head. The only way she could get it out was why drinking, doing drugs and having lots of casual, unprotected sex. That was why she did all of that so much. She knew it was bad but she just couldn't help it. It made her numb and kept her from thinking about anything about her past. It was all too painful to deal with. Her father came into her room and raped her that night.
Most thirteen year old girls had loving fathers but Callie's father was different than all of theirs. She had to fight to try to keep him out of her bed. She was a young girl so she didn't really know if it was wrong or not. Her father told her that it was perfectly normal for them to have sex but they couldn't tell anyone, not even her mother. She did what he said because she didn't know any better and she was too embarrassed to admit to anyone what was going on. So a few years later when she was sixteen and her father was on trial for murdering her mother she blamed herself. He said he did it to be with his only daughter. He claimed that Ana (her mother) was constantly getting in the way. Callie couldn't help but blame herself for the murder. If she had just told someone maybe her father would have been put away a long time ago so this never would have happened. It was so horrible carrying this blame around, that was why she drank so much. Plus she knew deep down that her mother had known about what her father was doing to her the whole time and never told anyone about it. She would never tell anyone this but she was actually a little mad at her dead mother for this. She thought parents were supposed to protect her children and all her mother ever did was stand by and watch as her husband destroyed her only daughter.
No wonder Callie was so screwed up. She really had been through a lot. She was lucky to have such a solid modeling career. At least now money wasn't as much of an issue as it used to be when she first most her mother. They used to be rich but once her father was sent to jail she lost all of that money he made. That was when she started stripping for a living and doing whatever she could to earn a buck. This wasn't really talked about because it could hurt her career but actually a modeling scout came into the strip club and found her. They instantly knew by the way she moved on stage and looked that she would be perfect for modeling. She was only 5'1" so she was too short to do any runway work but she excelled in photo shoots. Callie was really tiny, just barely weighing ninety pounds so she was definitely perfect for modeling. She had long blonde gorgeous hair that was almost always straight and dark navy blue eyes that guys could stare into for hours. She was also quite the heart breaker. She definitely had a reputation for sleeping around a lot. A lot of people called her the model slut behind her back but for some reason this never hurt her career. It seemed like even more people were fascinated by her -i'll do whatever I want- attitude. She slept around and was proud of it. She wasn't one of those girls who would act fake innocent. Of course mothers of teenagers hated her but all their daughters wanted to be like her. Of course none of those girls knew her back story. They just knew she had no parents. It hadn't been publicly released that she was a survivor of rape by her father since she never told anyone about it and she planned to keep it that way. Everyone knew her father murdered her mother but people just pretended like it never happened.
She finally got out of bed and got into the shower. Luckily there would be hair and makeup people at the photo shoot so she didn't have to worry about getting herself all fixed up. And Callie looked just as good without makeup as she did with it on so she wasn't worried about showing her bare face in public. She let her long blonde hair flow loosely down her back and slipped into a tight red dress that was way too short on her. She'd be changing for the photo shoot but she always loved showing up in her own clothes. Callie only wore expensive, designer clothes but she made sure to buy the sluttiest clothes she could find. After slipping on some five inch black stiletto heels she left her apartment and headed down the street to the studio where the photo shoot would be taking place. She pulled out a cigarette as she walked and lit it, taking drags on it. She didn't even bother to put it out when she walked inside. She was Callie Simpson. She could do whatever she wanted. She just hoped they had some vodka here. She had no idea how she could get through this morning without it.
