Hello!
Name's Bones! I'm very humbled to have anyone at least take a read through this, so thank you!
First and foremost, I'd like to add a disclaimer. While this plot has some sexual themes to it, I would like to put heavy emphasis on plot and character development outside of the sexual stuff. I want the sexual interactions/feelings to be symbolic of something or say something about the characters. I'm pretentious, I know, but that's what I want most.
I enjoy stories with dark tones, and in this plot especially, I want plenty of emphasis on themes of obsession, questionable power dynamics, mentally disturbed behavior, religious symbolism, and psychological horror. If we want to throw in some unnatural elements, I'm fully up for it, but I am largely looking at a historical setting, or at least historically inspired.
I will note that I sometimes take a bit to respond! It can take some time between being quite busy and occasionally having processing issues. More than likely I have not forgotten, I'm just trying to get through life first and/or process how to reply.
Enough of me rambling! Allow me a bit of description to outline what I'm looking for.

Though the Church fell from its height of power within Europe, especially with the Protestant split, what was left was still nothing to scoff at. This, her family knew, annoyingly.
Head of the Cawthorne family. The title still felt strange, but Abia bore it all the same, glad to leave the young, scorned image of herself behind in the blood of her murdered family members. She'd watched too intently as her family ignored her presence, learned too keenly from the shadows to reject it now.
But one thing still haunted her periphery.
See, the method of her familial ascension was controversial at best. A woman? Owning that much land? Running a trade company, no less? Many outright didn't believe it, especially considering the rumors of a cursed birth, a child plagued by sickness, and skin that was blemished like that of an unfinished canvas painting.
And this wasn't with the bloodier details. No she'd done well to rid her life of anyone who could guess there was anything suspect, except for one...
The priest. She'd figured out who he was after accompanying her parents on one of her few outings from the house, listening as they introduced her eldest brother to him. He was one of their business partners, so to speak. He covered for the illegal dealings they allowed on the ships, and in turn, they lined his and the Church's pockets with a good deal of their profit. Though in the few times she'd seen him, the gaze he occasionally spared her was... unsettling.
Abia was certain he knew something. There was something in his eye the few times they'd spoken, a knowing in his calm demeanor. And yet, despite her holding firm against his demands, he said... nothing. Nobody came knocking on her door, nobody pried into the circumstances of her family's death. And quite frankly, she was at her wits end with paranoia.
In this instance, the details of the priest are very open, but! I want to see at least some obsessive tendencies and a good deal of religious trauma. Even my character here has religious issues, doesn't seem right that the priest wouldn't! As well, my character is intended to have plenty of symbolism to lambs/sheep, being both "wolf in sheep's clothing" and "sheep in wolf's clothing." Do with this what you will.
