This thread is something that is equal parts wholesome as it will be smutty. YC is the princess to a kingdom at war with a rival for reason x, y, z. Before your father can marry you off to end the war, a dragon has stolen the princess away to a dark and ominous castle. Many a knight are sent after her to save her but they are all killed. The war escalated and casualties are mounting to dire levels on both sides; the only hope for peace is to save the princess and marry her off to the rival kingdoms only male heir.
Unlike the thought of most, the dragon is not some vicious mindless monster. He is a smart creature who was raised by the princess but had to be sent away for his safety when he began to grow to quickly to be hidden. He never forgot the princesses kindness and her love for him so he goes to himself to come back for her, to protect her when she needed it most. He grew in relative peace in an area that was rich with magical energy. His intelligence now matched the most learned advisor to her father and he heard what they had planned to do to his friend, his savior, so he stole her away to his castle where his hoard was stowed away. He protected her from the rude, glory seeking knights who sought to steal the princesses future from her; even killing some who intruded on the land and got close but never so in front of her. He was a guardian, a friend; he could not burden her to see him do such horrid things to keep her safe.
For years, the princess has been able to live in peace with her beloved dragon friend. The war is at its most desperate. A new would be pursuer has begun to approach the castle. Are they like the knights before? What do they want?

So this is blatantly inspired by this comic. The last few years the dragon protected the princesses virtue by keeping her in the castle and scaring off knights who reeked of ill intent. MC is the newest attempt to retrieve the princess but SHE is different. She is a female knight, a rarity amongst those in-service to the king. She cares not for glory or reward. She is a warrior of the people and wants the violence to end. She wants the war to stop so that the dead may be given rights and souls able to pass through the Lord's gates. However she is no ordinary knight, she is a futa; raree still considering those like her were often burned as witches and heretics but her natural skill with a sword had saved her life in exchange for her service.
Seeing that sending men has failed, the last hope is sending her to hopefully save the princess from the evil dragon. But something happens along the way. The princess and the knight talk. They grow close, fond even of each other. Before the knight knows it, she is utterly smitten with the princesses beautiful heart and even more beautiful soul. She has a hard choice to make knowing she must make one: does she return the princess and watch the woman she has come to love be sold off to a loveless marriage to end a war or does she renounce her vows and be selfish for once to run away with princess to make a new life together.
MC is the knight, yours is the princess who has that same terrible choice: duty or a new, true love.
