Like the title says. Who is your favorite character(s)? It doesn’t matter from what fictional work and you don’t have to choose just one. You can also jot a character down at a later date depending on who’s on your mind right now.

I’ll start with Marceline the Vampire Queen. Ever since I first saw her I loved Marcy as a character because of her tragic backstory, badass powers, and overall vibe she radiates compared to the main cast. Every time she’s in an episode it’s usually a banger and she has some of the coolest backstory which gets explored and reveals important pieces of the world she comes from before it became apocalyptic. Overall a badass vampire lady who I think deserves to be the first entry on this list of beloved fictional characters.

Honestly that is a toughie. There are a number of characters that really stand out to me, hmm. I feel like Kyle Katarn from Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight is possibly one of my favorite. He was first introduced in Dark Forces but it is the second game where his character really shines. He takes up a lightsaber after learning of his father's death and it was one of those games that used live action cut scenes and the actor that performed as him did such a great job. They did a marvelous job splicing those scenes with the actual game itself and you had to really get creative in the one on one lightsaber fights. Jedi Knight II on the other hand took all that away but continued his character development. Disney hasn't done anything with him since acquiring the rights to Star Wars and of course everyone knows Geroge Lucas didn't acknowledge a lot of the stuff outside of his own creation, even so, Kyle Katarn has a special place in my heart and memories and last game that featured him was Jedi Academy otherwise he hasn't been seen a lot since. So Disney you did bring Grand Admiral Thrawn into Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka so how about tapping into that huge resource of characters and bringing him into the fold.

Thanks for sharing! Honestly, I doubt Disney would ever bring in the books/games as canon. They’re more inclined to do their own spin even though their own spin isn’t as good as what came before. I never knew about Kyle K. but he sounds like he has a great start to his character with him picking up the saber to avenge (or get revenge) for his father. I hope Kyle is a popular enough character to bring in another game so then you can see him again 😁

You know the funny thing is before Finn with the whole giving up being a First Order Trooper...Kyle Katarn was actually in that same position. In the graphic novels it goes into more about why Kyle gave it up. Now of course Han was also a former trooper or so aka the Imperial Academy though that history was never part of the cinematic universe and the closest that came was the Solo film. Still suffice to say Disney might keep its distance from the Expanded lore but it does tend to piggyback from it now and then. Kyle was truly a great and just seeing the cutscenes alone from the second Dark Forces and he just steals the show with his smuggler swag and just the emotionality of the portrayal so hands off to the actor as I can't recall his name at the moment.

Don't laugh, but it is Optimus Prime. That person is what I want to be but am too much of a shitty being to be; wise and compassionate and yet strong and brave. Plus, he's a truck.

a bit of a hard one to answer since i have sooo many haha. i have a tendency to hyperfixate on a different character every so often. if i had to choos though, id say my current favorite character is mizuki yumemizuki from genshin impact; i think her design is just so cute and i adore her color pallet! while her playstyle in game isnt exactly my cup of tea, i still really like her overall vibe and personality. just to dot a few other favorites of mine: nami & sanji from one piece, lucy heartfilia, tachihara from bsd, levi ackerman.... this list can go on forever.

Difficult to pick just one, as there are many literary themes and media I've enjoyed over my life.

But... Silk (Prince Khledar) from the Belgariad series by David Eddings. He's THE Spy, light on his feet, expert in hand-to-hand fighting, great at selling things and playing fast with words, and has a streak of Roguish Charm as wide as your arm is long. It doesn't hurt that he has a good character arc through the entire series.

(I don't recall how he fares in the sequel series The Mallorean - I have read it, but it feels like a cheap knock-off, even though it's by the same author, and I haven't gone back to it.)

If I’m going to be honest. It’s Stannis Baratheon.

He has mostly sell swords, Florents from his wife’s house. And other sailors, and decided to besiege a Castle he himself held for a year against the largest army in Westeros. With only four thousand or so.

Granted I dislike him because of what he did against his brother. And I can never do that against my own blood.

But even after he stormed Kingslanding and nearly won. But only lost because an army of the wealthiest and best equipped army, and the largest army double teamed him. With many of his own men switching sides as well.

But in the end, he heard all of this, then learned about the letter from the north. Instead of trying to capitalize on Joffery’s death and Tommen’s weak rule. He traveled north, deciding that he could wait for his throne. For what’s the point in winning a realm that’s frozen and death. And fully planned on helping the nights Watch. And threw the free folk back. Then marched south, but when confronted about the snows and the red god. That he seen, and saw work. He simply told them.

“Half my army is made up of unbelievers. I will have no burnings, pray harder,”

“It’s Stannis Baratheon, the man will fight to the bitter end and then some,” IMG_2695.jpeg

Honorable Mentions is the smiling knight. Man ran the fade with three of the best fighters in history.
