「The Outworlders」is a story about the converging tales of people from other worlds who find a new home and purpose in a land of magic. This is their story:

Name | Lucy Fredericka Elizabeth Rockwood
Age | 20 years old
Gender | Hermaphrodite (Female appearing and presenting, male genitalia)
Sexuality | Gynesexual
Class | Black Mage
Body Type | Petite, yet toned and chiseled.
Background | Lucy was a track star and straight A student in grade school, who enjoyed popularity until it was discovered in her freshman year of high school that she had non-standard anatomy. This lead to bullying which reached a point that lead to her losing vision in her right eye and being pulled out of school by her concerned parents. Having to homeschool their daughter lead to strife in the couple, and eventually Lucy was sent to live with her grandmother. This is where she spent her teens and young adult years, helping on the farm, and perusing the old fantasy novels of her defunct grandfather. This lifestyle went on until one day she left the house to go read a book in the top floor of the barn, and found herself somewhere dramatically different from her grandmother's farmlands; a place both unique and strangely reminiscent all at once. What's more; the old fantasy novel's cover and pages had changed entirely to reveal themselves a spell book. She took this in stride; as perhaps—she dared hope—this world would accept her more than her previous
Name | Jennifer "Jenn" DeCoco
Age | 24 Years Old
Gender | Female (but, like Lucy, she's got schlong)
Sexuality | Pansexual
Class | White Mage
Body Type | Curvy Shortstack
Background | Jenn grew up the third of three kids, to a paramedic mother and a doctor father. She worked hard through high school, interning at the hospital her parents had met at, and went to med school. She did decently, but the stress was hard on her. And it only got worse whenever she had to deal with someone who didn't pull through, fully. Even just a badly-set broken bone stressed her even more.
Then, one night as she dreamed of being able to make everyone feel better, she woke up in a new world
Chimneyspeak
Name | Rinwell "Rin" Brook
Nickname | Rin
Age | 18 years old
Gender | Female
Sexuality | Bisexual (Leans towards Men)
Class | Arcanist
Body Type | Curvy and Dainty of Average Height
Background | Rinwell had always tended to spend much of her time in school as the quiet girl in class. She always was the type who showed up on time to class and tended to partipate in various clubs and activities. Despite being so involved she tended to never stand out often only speaking if spoken to. She had very few friends and tended to get teased on though she never seemed to let it get her down often apologizing for it and attempting to brush past it. She had become known by many as a teacher's pet given how well she would tend to listen always seeming intent to follow an authority figure not daring to do anything against the rules.

Having graduated from school, she was quick to move away from home finding a job cleaning up at a quant hotel and finding a room to rent out to live in. For her, it felt like an escape, though one that left her feeling guilty for despite her mothers words of encouragement that she wished for her to not worry about her back at home. Still, a lingering feeling of guilt remained as she simply made it by doing what she needed to make a living, lingering in her past uncertain about her own future. It was one day when she was cleaning a room when she was working hard cleaning up after a large influx of guests had left entering one of the rooms lost in thought when she turned her head only to find herself in some strange place in the wilds with a fluffy new companion.

Name | Leonard "Leo" Grimlock
Age | 27 years old
Gender | Male
Sexuality | Straight
Class | Tank/Berserker
Body Type | Tall, Brawny, Muscular
Background | Leo hails from an alternate universe where technology is so advanced it can be closest described as the 31st century. A utopia of sorts, but that's far from what it actually is. Before you are even born your life is already planned out for you. Leo was given the perfect genes to be a space marine but he aspired to prove her could become a space engineer. He unfortunately never did accomplish his goals because he died while in the line of duty. He perished while protecting civilians. But instead of waking up at the gates of Heaven he woke up in a fantasy land. Where prejudice based on your genes isn't common tradition and the sky is the limit on what someone is capable of doing regardless of their path planned before birth

Name - zeryotsu arkimatsu or yotsu
Age - 24
Gender - male
Sexuality - straight
Class - tank/brawler
Body type - tall/muscular
Background - at a time of brutal simplicity in the world, kingdoms ruled and fought for resources, war and warriors ruled all with precision and skill and those beneath lived in powerlessness to survive. The simple rule of survival with " fight to the end in a world that offers no peace for man " humanity may be the apex but it always follows the one rule of nature. " kill for yourself and survive as the apex "

Not every battle can be won by the strongest warriors, " there is always another…..stronger…" it was no different for a wandering warrior, outnumbered with a surprise attack and needing a retreat…a long battle won but not perfectly his crimson claw brought to kill the last before falling but not into death but into the mountainous field of a new land

Name | Victoria Mode
Age | 20 years old
Gender | Female
Sexuality | Bisexual
Class | Thief
Body Type | Lithe and flexible
Background | In her original life, Victoria was what you might accurately call a spoiled brat. Her family had everything — wealth, influence, power — and it left her bored, disaffected, and without a single genuine friend in her entire life. Left as she was, Victoria would have ended up as some rich asshole's trophy wife or flamed out dramatically in a drug-and-booze fueled car crash…

… but then she woke up in a new world. A world where nobody cared about her family and where she had no money. A world where she knew how to pick pockets, cut purses, and vanish up the side of a wall faster than any guard could follow.

It's been a weird couple of months.

Allie had been out of town during the attack. As a member of Canard, she often took new Outworlders out into the field to get a feel for their new powers. Her own were well tailored to the task as she possessed a number of defensive abilities as well as one that let her draw the attention of the enemy so that the rest of those with her could experiment without having to worry about getting attacked. Once they had a feel for what they could do, she would then take a more background role and only intervene if something went wrong. It wasn't until they saw the smoke on the horizon that she had ordered her trainees back to town, upon which they discovered that it had been attacked by raiders who had used setting buildings aflame as a distraction to abscond with citizens. It was the first time Traverse Town had been attacked like this, at least since Allie had come to this world, and she was shocked.

Finding her way to the town square, there was a gathering forming there as the Mayor was addressing the people. "As you have all probably heard, those ruffians that attacked, made off with some of our people. This cannot stand but I would not force anyone to go and face such threats. If any would step forward and volunteer, the sooner we can give chase the better the chances of our missing people," the Mayor told the crowd, pausing to give anyone who was willing the opportunity to step forward.

"I'll go," Allie called out as she stepped forward. Already geared up, she had not had to expend herself during her outing with her trainees. They would be told to stay in town and lend their aid to helping people out, especially the healer who would be able to help with the wounded. The crowd parted around her as she advanced towards the podium the Mayor stood on. Many knew her face if not her deeds and looked relieved when she stepped forward and volunteered herself.

The Mayor then looked around to see if anyone else would join her. There had been more than a dozen raiders and she would need allies if she was going to successfully rescue those who had been kidnapped. Allie was definitely someone who would go on her own if she had though. Her determination was unshakeable, especially when there was good that needed doing.

Not everyone who was attacked had been kidnapped. Some of them were simply hurt, and Jenn has been busy during the aftermath, running triage, healing the injured, and doing what she could to help Traverse Town remain calm. She's only able to arrive at the town square during the tail end of the mayor's speech, and finds her worry only growing as he reveals that, yes, people have been outright taken. She can't help someone she can't see.

When the mayor calls for people to go on a rescue mission, Jenn stays quiet at first. But with Allie stepping forward, Jenn knows she can't very well stay behind and risk one of the stronger fighters of the town being taken out. "I'll go too," she says quietly, trying to step forward. Of course, her small height prevents anyone not adjacent from seeing that...

"I'll go too!" she calls out louder. The crowd parts a bit to let her through into the center of the square. "I'll keep anyone who goes safe and healthy. I might not be good at fighting," she adds, "but I can aid those who are."

Leo gasped for a breath of fresh air as he clutched his chest. The faint sting of plasma had left his body as if he wasn’t gunned down mere moments ago. He desperately tried to catch his breath and took his helmet off from his advanced Exo suit. He saw a grand field of green spanning the horizon and in the distance a magical town he had only read in ancient texts. “Mornin’ sleepy head.” A soothing voice said from behind him.

The man turned to find a lady decked out in a witch’s robe and hat. “You must be a new arrival. Come on. I’ll take you to the town.” And so sparked the beginning of Leo’s second chance at a new life. Free from predestined path based on his genetics alone. Still, he was a big and burly man so he easily fit into the slot of a tank for the new party members he gained as allies.

So when the town was attacked he fought with all of his might. The town was burning ablaze and the horses of the raiders shrieked before the nets caught the livestock from other worlds. To be used for nefarious purposes and strip them of their rights as their fellow man. Leo went berserk but was nocked into unconsciousness by the leader of this group. “Leo no!” The witch exclaimed before a sword pierced her chest. The leader laughed and mocked the brute, “Light’s out big fella,” before everything turned to black.

Leo opened his eyes when the pillaging had long since been finished. He slowly rose to his full stature and cradled the lifeless body of his comrade. He closed her eyes and mourned his loss. Still, he noticed a big group of people gathering in the center. He leant an ear and found out the mayor was trying to set up a hunting party. With ire festering within his entire being. He handed two gold coins to the gravedigger, “Make sure she’s well taken care of.”

The large man then wielded his axe once again and raised it high above, “You have my axe!” He exclaimed in a booming sonorous tone before making way to the stage. The group parted like the Red Sea lest they face the unstoppable force of the Juggernaut set to free his remaining party members and avenge the first person who greeted him with a smile in this new world. Along with believing in his dream of one day being more than a soldier.

He took to the stage alongside the other brave warriors. A giant in comparison. His lion pelt shifting in the wind and the scales of his serpent loincloth shimmering in the sunlight.

Lucy had been one of the oddball members out of the otherworld visitors. For one, while she'd been there nearly as long as Allie, she'd not yet taken the time to acquire garb more appropriate for the medieval setting of he new world, and for two; she'd taken to this place and the use of magic like a fly to a pile of rich dung. If it weren't for the look in her eyes that seemed to glow with lust for power and pleasure which contrasted what would've been an angelic face, and her categorical unwillingness to wear anything but her thick black sweat pants, she may well have become a valued member of the community.

So it was to the surprise of many that the young woman, book tucked under her right arm, stepped forward and stood beside the others who had claimed they would go forth and help. She didn't feel the need to voice that she was joining. People of this world tended to register as NPCs in her mind. A feminine voice only she could hear bellowed from between the pages; "Well? Don't be coy; introduce yourself!" which brought her to wince before turning to the others.

"...and my spells. I'm Lucy, a mage, pleasure to meet you three." She said, awkwardly trying to bounce off Leo's introduction as she caught the Tolkien reference. Thought she could swear she had seen the unusual barbarian before and the thought was tickling her, casting glances in his direction.

This had the benefit of making her seem less awkward, to be fair, as were it not for her curiosity trying to peel at the origin of this familiarity, she'd likely have been awkwardly trying to not-so-subtly ogle their teammates of the fairer sex.

"I'll go..."

The voice was meek as it didn't even manage to penetrate through the crowd. The small body it came from tucked within. A rather timid Rinwell looked on from within the crowd. The girl's cheeks biitng back at her lip feeling as if the lack of voice she had and none seeming to notice her might mean she was simply being dismissed. Her offer itself not being needed. Her timid nature only making her feel as if daring to speak up again would only cause more trouble then anything. She wasn't likely all that helpful really... and...

A soft soft mew could be heard as the dark haired girl glanced down. Little Syfei's fluffy head nudged into the bag of Rinwell's leg. The little creature standing not even a foot fall with her head lifted up to nudge her. The critters long fluffy tail swaying about lightly nudging more seeming to notice her summoner's hesitation though lingering desire. Rinwell budged slightly though seemed to hesitate shaking her head a bit looking a bit uncertain. A gesture that seemed to spark the little critter's blue and violet eyes to glitter sweetly.

A little gasp slipped free from Rinwell feeling as Syfei scurried up climbing along her long black skirt. The feeling of her small paws climbing up scurrying up all the way to her shoulder as her tail wrapped around resting over her one side as her small body perched two paws up front on her shoulder as the other two rested behind her. Her head pushing up as the gem brushed against the side of Rinwell's face as she was nudged again. The raven haired girl's had lifting into a lightly clenched fist pressed to her mouth. A feeling of uncertainty clearly lingered.

You're right... it's the least I could do... they... they had helped me... and... and if I don't put myself forward in earnest... they won't know I want to really help....

Rinwell stepped forward finally slipping out from the crowd to be actually seen. Her cheeks a rather sharp hue of red. Not only was she speaking up and making herself known, it also was in front of a rather large crowd. A rather big step up for a girl who tended to mostly stick to herself not wanting to stand out so much.

"I.... we lend our help.... too." She spoke up. Her voice... perhaps not shouting and more regular talking voice but it was about as best Rinwell likely could coax out verbally. Her own words were followed with an excited Syfei boucning on her shoulder scurrying around her front side and around her head once to find her way back onto the shoulder again. A soft excited squeek like noise escaping from the creatures mouth as her head lifted in the air as if to voice her own desire to go as part of a duo.

The wind would pick up suddenly around the group, though coming from one direction with a figure who seemed to not have been noticed beside the fact that there was no reason to jump in and he was a background observer through most of the end of the attack. He would jump down with a flip and a crash as his devil toad patterns of red, blue, and gold, shined, slowly walking over.

“ I will prove my ancestors strength and my spirit of the drilltusk. The forge of battle will call again….” Seeing it just wasn’t any random fighters and warriors, but a specific group with a goal through blood and battle.

It was time to go.

Really, it had been time to go for a while now. A place like Traverse Town just wasn’t big enough for someone like Victoria to stick around in for long. Sure, there were enough strangers around to blend in for a while — traders and newcomers and what not — and sure, the other new Outworlders often hadn’t figured out that they needed to hide their purses and lock their windows, but sooner or later someone was going to notice her and wonder what she did for a living, or where she slept, and then they were gonna start asking questions. She should have hit the road days ago. This attack only proved it.

The only problem was that the thought of wandering blindly out on the open road terrified her. Who knew what was waiting out there in a world like this? Probably a lot worse than some irate townsfolk, that was for sure.

At a loss for what to do next, Victoria found herself wandering aimlessly through the town in the aftermath of the attack. There was ash and dust caught in her blonde hair and coating her cheeks. She’d been hiding out in one of the barns on the outskirts when the raiders had started their fire; it had only been dumb luck that they didn’t spot her slipping out from the building. They’d been too busy with the farmer and his family.

The young woman shook her head. Her feet had brought her to the town square in time to hear the mayor’s speech, and she watched with crossed arms from the shadows beneath a marketing awning as he called for volunteers. Pointless. Why would anyone volunteer to go after a bunch of bloodthirsty, armed…

Victoria frowned as someone spoke up. And then another, and more. She probably should have expected the knight; she’d seen the red-head around town before, always helping the newcomers. The lion-man with the axe wasn’t that big a shock either, his sheer size aside. But some of the others? That girl who looked like she was going to faint just from speaking up?

The thief shook her head. She thought of the farmer again, calling out for help as she hid barely meters away around the corner of his house, and let out a low sigh.

Then slipped through the crowd to join the other volunteers at the front without saying a word, arms still folded standoffishly over her chest.

Leo looked at the sizable group having formed and gave a firm nod. “Right then. I think this band of warriors will suffice.” The large man looked down to the mayor while heaving his mighty axe over his shoulder. “Point us in the direction of mayhem then stand aside. For I will charge headstrong and take whatever the enemy will throw at us.” Leo spoke confidently.

He ignored the gaze of the one called Lucy. He was used to being looked at for his size. Otherworlders didn’t seem to hail from a world where there genetics were tampered with to yield the greatest form evolution can muster. He envied them for that in some ways.

"Make those bastards pay!"

"Yeah! Give 'em hell from us!"

A wave of voices swept forth from the assembled crowd; first one or two, then a whole tide of shouts and cheers as the crowd's energy fed back on itself. The giant warrior's display of confidence had given the battered and exhausted villagers back the strength they'd needed, and their cries of support for their new champions rang out over the square.

"Thank you," the mayor spoke softly under the noise, genuine moisture in his eyes. He spoke mostly to Leo, craning his neck to gaze up at the warrior, but he spared a grateful glance for each of the volunteers in turn. "The raiders took our people north, likely making for a hideout in the woods or the mountains beyond. Take whatever you need from the village stores, but please, hurry — every minute you delay is another minute our people must suffer under their hands."

He hesitated for a moment, indecision written across his face, before adding one final thought. "If you lose their trail... there is an outsider of sorts who dwells in the woods, and if you seek her out she may be able to aid you. I'd normally suggest staying out of her path, but there are desperate times..."

“ if the quickness of the wind and the silence of the dark night is what is needed then I need only the direction of the camp. “ even if he was big the obvious design origin of his armor was one of a warrior who was more adaptable for also being a silent killer again also the fact that no enemy or anyone else in the town noticed him until now.

“ I will take the height of the forests to find a path above as you follow the path below…” giving the suggestion as the scout now. “ May the ancestors look upon a holy vengeance against them…”

Allie, Jenn, Leo, Rinwell, Zeriotsu, Victoria... and she knew none of their names. Awesome. Maybe she jumped the gun introducing herself earlier. "You did fine, if anything they're the ones being rude, and it's likely just because they're tense at the prospect of this mission for a reason or another. Don't mind it." reassured the book to its introverted owner, though as always the wavy-haired brunette took it with a grain of salt, slightly more alarmed by another observation she'd made a mere moment ago. "...did this party have to be full of hotties...?" She half-muttered, a faint blush tainting her cheeks. It had already been a bit more difficult than she cared to admit to stand in front of this crowd, and now the thought of adventuring with a group of beautiful ladies and two tall and muscular phenoms made her briefly second-guess... but well; it was too late to reconsider now, the town would remember if she backed out at the last possible second.

Thankfully, her social awkwardness was instantly shoved back by the words of the mayor inviting them to take whatever they want from the village's stores; something incredibly irresponsible to say to the mage whom had figured out her book doubled as a bag of holding. "Alright then, thanks!" She said, showing a faint, warm—and frankly—beautiful smile as she flipped through her book rapidly as she chanted; " ; ; : Seeking Hands!"

Following this; each page flickered to let loose an ethereal hand of orange energy which floated away to go visit one store or another, leaving behind a mist of a magenta color which it followed on its way back, returning with a variety of things ranging from potions, to ingredients, to simple tools and trinkets such as rope, thread, dice, quills, ink wells, silver rings which the hands meticulously used to adorn the digits of her hands, a bastard sword of good quality but cheap make, three bucklers of studded leather and iron, a loaf of bread and a half dozen apples. It may have been a bit greedy of her, but given she only had six silver pieces to her name at the moment and still wasn't too sure how the economy of this world operated; she preferred to err on the side of caution.

It was only once the items were slotted into the pages of her tome and she wiped the bead of sweat that formed on her brow from magical exertion that she realized it may have been wise to take requests on items to retrieve from the rest of her party. She really wasn't used to working in a team. "Oh er... did you guys want anything?" She inquired, many of the villagers still slack-jawed at the sudden display of magic and its potential for mass theft.
