Hello, people of Blue Moon!!
After a self-imposed exile, I have returned to once again cast my line out into the pond of possibility, and hope for a bite (or more!) Rather than try to write this RT with some kind of theme like my original one, I'm just gonna go for the KISS method. For those of you who don't know what that is, it means "Keep It Simple, Stupid" (although there WILL be lots of kisses in our roleplays, trust me on that!) And in the interest of clarification, I am looking for Male/Female or Male/AFAB NB pairings, where I play the male character. Ages of each character can be anywhere within the limits imposed by site rules.
Due to some helpful forum posts I've seen, I have come to realize I should talk a little more about some other things.
- For one, I don't mind fandom-centric pairings or settings, so long as I am familiar with it (I will add a section with those fandoms down below). I am flexible on who I play in those settings, so long as the pairing works within the setting (e.g. I don't want to play an OC against Hermione from Harry Potter, as she is already with Ron in canon, and don't even get me started on other canon characters being paired with her. Stick that greasy thing somewhere else, Snape!).
- As for faceclaims, I'm also very flexible, with a slight preference for IRL photos but if you only do drawn, AI, or anime, I can certainly live with that. The point is to have fun. Any lewdness you can throw in is just a bonus, and not really a requirement.
- Your IRL gender matters little, if at all, so long as you can convincingly play a female or NB character who has compatible "plumbing" to MC's, which will always be that of a cis male.
- If either of us initiate conversation and you read the message, I would greatly appreciate some indication that you are not interested, should that be the case. Also, putting me on ignore and/or leaving the conversation when nothing has been obviously said or done on my part to upset you, is a hostile act. I'm sorry if I turn some people off by saying that, but if you have a problem with me, just say something. Chances are it's a misunderstanding and it can be resolved by talking about it like adults. Nothing is a bigger hit to my mental state than thinking everything is going fine, only to see that line through your username and no text box at the end of the PM thread. All of that said, I don't consider myself ghost-unfriendly, but sometimes people just hit that little red button when I haven't done anything wrong, and I am not here for that shit.
- My availability is, currently, open, so long as I am able to go to sleep at about 11 PM EST and wake up at about 9 AM EST without a lot of interruptions. If and when that changes (because I am looking for a new job), I will update this to reflect that.
- Finally, I absolutely would love to get to know you OOC, if you'd be open to that as well. I find it difficult to write about what we write about here and not feel some sort of connection with our writing partners outside of the roleplay. I have found many good friends and one eventual roommate by connecting with other people OOCly.
- Oh, right, posting length! I can do anywhere between one line (it hasn't ever been my idea, but it seems to work with some folx, so I figured, why not) to 2-3 meaty paragraphs. I very much consider myself a quality over quantity kind of guy, and try my absolute best to pack as much as I can into few(er) words. If you need a novella every post, I'm not your guy. Sorry.
- On the subject of writing samples, I've had an experience in the past where someone asked for one and I tried to give them an excerpt from an RP I had written with another person. This was apparently not good enough, and communication ended up breaking down between me and them. I would much prefer to not have to provide a writing sample, but if you insist upon one, please do not be picky about where it comes from. If you are, find someone else to jump through your hoops, kthx.

I know that's not a lot, and I apologize for that. If there's something you don't see and want to ask about, feel free to do so. The worst that can happen is that I'm unfamiliar with it. That being said, I am less than useless when it comes to pretty much all anime fandoms in terms of knowing pretty much anything except what surface-level lore has been imparted to me over the years, for a handful of the most popular animes. Basically, consider me knowing nothing about anime to be a rule of thumb.
Pairings I like (bold is my role):
- Best friends or roomates to lovers
- Bodyguard x charge
- Pilot x various roles (including, but not limited to: pilot gets shot down during war and YC finds him and takes care of him; MC is a private jet pilot and YC is one of his passengers or a fellow member of the flight crew; MC and YC are both survivors of a crash; MC is a survivor of a crash and YC is a native of the remote place he crashed)
- Soldier x various roles (again, a lot we could do with this, but the overall theme is that it's a wholesome, romantic thing at the end)
- Law enforcement officer x crime victim (One possible way this could go, is instead of being the typical asshole with a badge who asks YC what she was wearing and what not, MC would pursue YC's attacker with the tenacity of a dog with a bone, focusing on him as a perpetrator rather than making YC feel like she should've kept her mouth shut, making YC feel that much less like she made the wrong decision by going to the police after she was attacked. He cannot stop the attacker's defense from trying to cut her down in the courtroom, but he can be there for her during it all)
- Philanthropist x refugee
- Adventurer x various roles (this is a fantasy pairing, and YC could be either a fellow adventurer on par with MC, a newbie who's training under MC, or a more common person who is somewhat enamored with MC. She could also be a noblewoman, or any other role that makes sense in the setting. Basically, the sky is the limit!)
In case it wasn't rather obvious above, I play in a fairly diverse range of settings, from fandoms all the way to realistic stuff, crossing the genres of sci-fi and fantasy along the way, taking a stop in a few eras of history, most notably WWII. If you do not see a pairing or scenario above that fits with any of those settings, ask me if I'd like to play them! The worst I can say is no, and I don't bite...unless you ask
Hope y'all are still with me. Below I have a few more concrete ideas. Let me know if you see anything you like!
Sexual Healing: Okay, so this could go a bunch of different ways, either as a female doctor in the modern world paired with a male patient, or a pair of adventurers in a fantasy setting. The premise is simple: when your character has had sex normally, in the past, nothing has happened, or at least nothing incredibly special. That changes when she and my character end up hooking up. Afterwards, it seemed that he's a new man, healthier, more vigorous, and where did that old scar on his chest go? Turns out that your character can heal any ailment or wound endured by her soulmate when they make love--but only him. This is, of course, more given to romance than perhaps your typical "healslut" story, but I think it's a nice change of pace and is more wholesome, in a way.
Come Fly with Me: Airports are places of romance, if you just take the time to look. Couples reuniting after a long time apart, couples departing from one another's company for a solo excursion, vacations, honeymoons, and all the rest. Of course, it can be the scene of equal amounts of drama and heartbreak. This is an open-ended idea but basically the story would begin in a way that is centered around an airport, if not be centered around one or air travel in general the whole way through. Welcome aboard, potential partners. The sky is quite literally the limit.
New idea: I don't really have much to expand on it right now, but I would like to perhaps use this as inspiration for a sci-fi story:
