Kavkah Dabel Kvetina
The Devil's Flower

Sombraedit2.jpg

Light spilled through the window in the cabin as the moon began to rise over the clouds. Kavkah stirred beneath his sheets as the bit of light reached his face. Tonight was a full moon. As many creatures of the night, the full moon filled him with unbelievable amounts of energy. He looked forward to the full moons, hunts beneath the moon were so exhilarating. Opening his eyes, he stood up in his fur covered bed. Stripping himself of his clothes, for they often tore when he shifted, he stepped from his bed. The sound of morphing skin and cracking bones filled the room as scales ripped through his human scales, his disguise falling to the ground as his bones began to take more of an animal for.

In place of the man stood a hound, grinning as its scales went a a soft green, his body filled with joy. Leaping through an open window, Kav lifted his nose to catch the breeze coming his way. Many scents came to him, a herd of no more than about 7 dears lay towards the east while straight ahead of him was a black bear and her cubs. Many others came with it, the scent of the polluted city and a few men who had wondered into the forest came to him as well. He had no interest in those.

One scent that came to him confused him. It was a close, and it was female. A couple other were near hers, hunters more than likely. But a female hunter? Not likely. And her scent was not at all human. She smelt of animal, but nothing she could touch or kill would linger that long on her skin. Perhaps she had a hunting dog with her and he was reading the scent wrong. Either way, he wanted to figure out what it was exactly.

Moving towards the scent, he picked up on his speed. It wasnt more than a few miles away, it wouldnt take long to reach the hunters. Being sure his steps were quiet, he leapt through the trees and other objects of the little forest. He must keep the element of suprise. There we a decent amount of them, and though their bullets and arrows could not pierce through his thick armor he could not give them time to find the weak spots in it. His stomach for one, the scales were softer and a metal bullet could travel through his skin in an instant if aimed right. That was just one. If he kept the element of suprise, he could take them quickly without giving them a chance to even think of how to harm him.

Scents filled her senses as she darted through the trees, the moonlight reflecting off some of the leaves around her. A lithe body raced through the underbrush, pausing once in a while to sniff at something before continuing. The animal suddenly caught the scent of something and took off after the scent, curiosity driving her on as she ran. Suddenly she stopped next to a stream and looked down into the running water, gazing at the reflection in the water. What was staring back would of surprised some people but it was a familiar sight.

Staring back at her was the face of a black and white animal. A wolf to be exact. But there was something strange about the wolf. Not only was it both black and white, but its eyes were a clear pale silverish white, like the moon that shined above. The moon that was above her caused the white of her fur seem even brighter. The wolf was also a little bigger then a normal wolf.

However, the wolfs peaceful moment was broken a moment later when it heard the sound of a twig snapping and she lifted her head, looking around. A flash of white off to her right caught her attention and she looked over just in time to see a dart flying towards her and she jumped out of the way. Growling, the wolfs hackles rose and she jumped over the stream before running. However, the wolf didn't get far before she was cut off by several men and it didn't take long for them to quickly circle the animal, some of them laughing as she looked back and forth between them, her ears laying back.

Some of the men tried to approach the wolf but she snarled and snapped at them, causing them to pull back. This continued for several minutes before one of them cocked their gun, took aim and a moment later her yelp echoed in the woods around them and she stumbled a little as the tranquilizer she'd just been shot with started to take effect. Not long after her body staggered a little then fell to the ground with a thump, her eyes slowly drifting shut.

Once she was out, the men converged on her, tying up the animal before carrying her back to the camp where they were staying. The men tied a rope around her neck and tied her to a pole before also tying her muzzle as well so that she couldn't bite anyone.

As he grew closer, the scents became more clear. About 5 or so men were gathered in a group, the gun powder telling him they were armed and had recently used their weapons. His pace slowed to what resembled a tiptoe as the camp came to veiw. Standing for a moment, he began to think of how he would kill them. He would start with the furthest one to the right, come from behind and snap his spine. Quick kill, no chance for struggle.. no time to scream. From there he would take out the armed gaurds and so on. But as he scanned further, he froze, an angered growl filling his lips as his scales turned a violent blood red. His gaze lingered on the beautiful animal they had so wrongfully bound to a pole. How dare they take the great hunter and treat is so shamefully.

Shaking his head, he slunk through the bushes, moving around the clearing were they had made camp and took position behind a large tent. The man lay just around the corner, his back turned towards him as he watched the large wolf they had recently enslaved. In one quick, fluid jump, Kavkah had the base of his neck in his jaw. The bones that connected neck to spine snapped between his teeth, leaving him breathless as his crimson blood pulsed through Kav's lips. Placing the man quietly on the ground, he moved to the next. This one was quite a tall man. Grabbing him by the ankle with his teeth, he drug him to the ground and crushed his skull in seconds in counting. The scales on his back had shifted to the color of fresh blood, powered by the lifes that his jaws had taken.

Killing the two that patrolled around the tents, it left only the three gathered around the fire. Pausing, he calculated the scene in his head. If he could distract them, he could take them off guard. Keeping their weapons out of the mix. As his eyes stared into their campfire, a wicked grin played at his lips... perfect.

Walking through the camp, he made sure his feet made as little sound as he could manage. He positioned himself behind the man in the middle, hidden in the shadows of the tents. Placing a foot infront of the other, he leapt up and landed with a crash on the man's back, sending his body face-first into the open flames. The other man froze for a moment, struck with confusion as their friend screamed and rolled across the dirt. One made a move to grab the rifle behind him and Kav was at him in a flash, taking the man's hand in his teeth. His hand was crushed beneath the pressure of his jaws and the rifle fell to the ground. Pulling up on the hand, he sent the man to the ground. With a powerfull swipe of his front paw, he tore into the man's throat. With his last breaths, blood began to trickle down the corner of his mouth. As he lay limp, a gun shot ran through the trees. As an instinctive reaction, Kav crouched low and the bullet bounced off his shoulder. The man raised the gun to take another shot, but the hound was quicker than his slow reflexes. With a quick jump, the large hound forced him onto the ground and held his windpipe until his pulse lay still.

Stepping back from the bloody mess that lay before him, he lifted his muzzle and let out a triumphant howl. A sinister smile played at his stained lips as he pranced over to the tied animal. His eyes rested on the sleeping animal as he tilted his head. The wolf was rather large, and had the oddest scent to it. The animal-like human scent filled his nose once more. Well, only one way to figure it out. He moved to the pole that kept her in place and raised a claw to the spot were the knot had been tied. Snapping the simple rope, he moved to do the same to the muzzle. He growled angrily. The muzzle was degrading. Once that was off, he stepped back and stiffened his body, readying himself in case the animal wished to turn on him.

The hunters didn't know what hit them. One moment they were talking about their catch and what they were going to do with it, occasionally looking over at the unconscious wolf that laid sprawled out in the dirt at one end of the camp, then the next something attacked. The massacre of the camp was swift and brutal. Yet through it all, the bound up animal slept through it all. However, as the scent of the blood filled the air, the animal began to stir.

The tranquilizer that she had been hit with should of been able to keep her out for hours but it was already wearing off. With a soft groan, the wolf jerked slightly as it began to wake and the howl filled the air. A moment later she felt the rope around her neck snapping followed by the muzzle. Tensing, the wolf closed her eyes tightly before taking a deep breath. As the scent of all the blood finally sank in, the animals eyes snapped open as she took a deep breath. Her eyes were dilated at first from the drug they shot her with before her pupils got small again.

With a snarl, she scrambled to her feet before looking around, her breathing quick. However, she got up to fast and she stumbled slightly before falling over again with a thud. Growling, she shook her head before looking around. At the sight of the blood everywhere, her eyes widened before she looked over at him and she paused. Slowly she stood up and backed up a little, looking him over warily.

The female shook out her fur while gazing at him from the corner of her eye. Her gaze was calculating as if she were trying to figure out if he was going to do the same to her that he'd done to the human hunters. After a little while of watching him, she slowly sat down on the ground with a sigh and began looking herself over for any kind of injury or change to her that those hunter could of done. After seeing none, she sighed again before looking around again, taking in the massacre done to the humans. The sight made her shake out her fur again, as if she had a chill and wished to be rid of it.

Kavkahs gaze stayed on the newly awakened animal as he sat a few steps infront of her. Raising a paw to his lips, he began to lick the scraps of skin and blood that dirtied his feet and claws. Giving the animal time to readjust itself and shake off the effects of the drugs, he switched to the other foot and picked it clean. Once his feet were clean, the rest of his body would have to wait, his attention turned back to the female. His curiosity left questions in his head, but they would not be answered if he bothered the creature with them now.

He waited until she was done checking herself over for injuries before he took a step forward. The hound dipped his head in a slight bowing manner, greeting the animal. Once he was no more than a foot away from her, he checked her form himself, looking for any wounds or injuries. Finding none, he sighed and switched his gaze to her face. A questioning look lit his pale blue eyes.

" Did they harm you in any way. Internal injuries or something I do not see? "

He asked, without much emotion in his tone. Many shifters could not speak in their animal forms, but his race had learned to speak to one another with human words. It was easy to keep one language between their forms and their human disguises. Very convenient. He didnt expect a verbal answer, for he still wasnt sure what the creature was, or even if it was something besides a simple wolf. But if it wasnt, then it wouldnt understand him anyway. It certainly looked as though it took the time to think and process, and it was not frightened of him. That wasnt something common for any animal he had met.

Slowly she relaxed when he didn't attack her and she watched as he began to lick his paws clean. She watched him for a little bit before looking away with a sigh, waiting until he was done before looking at her once again. Her gaze looked him over, noticing the blood on the rest of his body before looking him in the face again. It was only then that she noticed him moving closer and she leaned back slightly. After he dipped his head, she slowly lowered her upper body slightly, bowing in return. The female remained completely still as he looked her over before gazing back into his eyes, her pale silver staring into his pale blue.

His question took her a little by surprise. While she didn't completely understand what he said, she got the gist of what he was asking. She shifted a little so she was more comfortable before shaking her head. "No." she said. Her response was simple and short, able to be understood even if they couldn't understand each other. Slowly she stood up and slowly circled him curiously, sniffing at him. As she circled him twice, her movements were those of a cautious yet non-threatening animal.

After checking him over, she slowly moved further into the camp, carefully picking her way through it and doing her best to avoid any of the blood on the ground and she looked at the burnt body of the man that had fallen into the fire before looking back at him with a questioning look in her eyes as if asking if it were all his doing.

" Good. "

He spoke smoothly as he eyed her, taking a nervous step back as she circled him. He turned as she she did, never letting his back lay open to her. He knew nothing about this creature, and he certainly wasnt about to leave himself vulnerable to her. One thing had been sure, she was more than wolf. That he had thought since he had picked up her scent, but was confirmed as she spoke. She understood him and responded, that was enough.

Sitting calmly in the dirt, he surveyed his work. The markings he left on each man resembled those a bear. But it would look suspicious the way they were positioned. The silly humans that would discover this mess would suspect something other than a bear, seeing as the bodies were spread through-out the camp and killed in a way a bear was not capable of. Quick and clean. He shrugged, they would be confused and that was just fine.

A wicked smile played at his lips when she looked glance at him with a question filling her eyes. Well who else? With a nod, he confirmed her question. Tilting his head, he stared at her oddly as she avoided his mess. Perhaps she thought this was wrong?

"They brought their destruction upon themselves. Man should not mess with nature's great hunters. "

And besides, it was oh so much fun. He had been taught to kill without remorse, and he was good at it. Years of training had perfected it. And the confusion most humans felt when their eyes tried to take in his form clouded their mind. Their race had no time to study him, had no time to figure out just how to harm him. It sure helped his case.

" Do you not agree?"

She had noticed him taking a nervous step back as she circled him and she made a soft sound in the back of her throat before shaking her head slightly in vague amusement before continuing around the camp. She neared one of the bodies and leaned in a little closer, gazing at a wound on one of the men before stepping back and moving on, her tail flicking slightly. The animal could feel his gaze on her as she moved and when she looked at him questioningly, she saw the wicked smile and nodded slightly. She should of known better then to wonder. After all, other then her, he was the only one at the camp that could do such a thing to the men.

As if she could read his mind, she glanced at him and met his odd stare before answering him. "I prefer not to get my paws dirty." she told him, lifting one of her snow white paws. "Bloods not easy to get out of white fur."

She was about to step over the burnt man when he spoke about the hunters bringing their destruction upon themselves. Pausing, she stared over at him before becoming thoughtful, considering his words before nodding slightly. "Yes, I suppose you're right." she said before moving towards him again. The wolf moved in front of him and sat down.

"Why did you help me?" she asked him randomly before scratching one of her ears. She acted a lot like a wolf but at the same time she acted a lot like something else though it was hard to pinpoint exactly what it was.

He nodded in response to her keeping her paws clean. He could only imagine how badly her light fur stained. He was glad his body was half covered in scales and the rest a thick leather. Cleaning himself was fairly easy, though he couldnt say the same about his human form. Humans had such long hair.

His smile widened when she agreed with, glad she saw it his way. The most he got was frightened faces and nastey words, what was the point in helping if they didnt appreciate it?

"Im glad you think so"

He sat as she did, releasing a bit of the tension in his body. Tilting his head, he stared at her for a moment. Why did he help her? Well there was a few reason. For one, He didnt beleive it was right for any human to cage and animal as they did. And also, he enjoyed what he did, so exciting.. so exhilarating. But his main reason was that her smell was different, she was different. It was nice to have a bit of excitement after doing the same thing for so many years, seeing the same damn filth those humans had to offer. Curiosity not only harmed that cat.

"Why?"

He repeated, staring back into her face.

"Your smell wasnt something I knew. It left me curious. I had to see things for myself. And what I saw angered me; Men are filthy creatures. "

Leaving out the fact that he also enjoyed their extermination, he smiled at her. Scanning the forest, he sighed. It wasnt safe to stay near the bodies for too long, someone would notice their disappearance and send help. Finding the two near them would cause a large problem.

"We should leave this area, they will come looking for them soon enough. Do you have a place to stay?"

He said, his eyes scanning the area around them. He wondered, did the female have a home or did she sleep on the forest floor like any other wolf. His attention moved back to her as he waited for an answer.

The female noticed his smile widen when she agreed with him and her ear twitched slightly before nodding slightly. Once they both sat down, her in front of him as she gazed into his eyes. She waited patiently for his reply, her pale cold eyes piercing deep into his own. In her time in that forest, she hadn't met any other animal that would just help another without a reason.

When he repeated what she asked, she nodded slightly, a little surprised. When he mentioned her scent, she tilted her head slightly before slowly nodding again. Humans were filthy creatures, though some of them did have their good points. She enjoyed studying the little ones, always finding something amusing about them and the female humans. That's why she liked to take the form of a human woman.

She was shaken from her thoughts a moment later when he suggested they leave the area. She knew that trouble could start if they hung around much longer. However, the question of having a place to stay caused her to pause and become silent. Staring at him, she was quiet for a bit before shaking her head slightly.

"No, I don't." she told him. It was a little embarrassing to admit she was homeless but she let him know none the less.

Kavkah looked up as she stared into his pale eyes, catching hers. A shiver ran down his spine as he began to see nothing but those eyes. A spark lit inside him, confusing him greatly. A worried expression played on his face as continued to stare. Realizing what he was doing, he closed his eyes and shook his head quickly, covering up the movement with a sneeze.

He sighed when she told him she had no home. Without a home, without a pack.. how could she live peacefully? A family of wolves would not take him due to the fact that he simply looked to different. Seeing as she did not run back to a pack, he wondered why she didnt have one. Perhaps he could shelter her for the night. If he kept an eye on her, he was sure she wouldnt do anything to his home. It wouldnt be safe for her to stay in the forest tonight with the men dead, help would soon come searching for them. And as they usually did, they would ignorantly blame wolves.

"If you wish, You may stay in my home for the night"

He said sweetly. His home was a simple cabin towards the far edge of the forest. It was a few miles away, it wouldnt take too long to get there. It was small, and not exactly nice looking. But it was safe, and very welcoming. And of course it was away from most of the humans, they didnt venture too far into the woods. So it was extremely quiet and peaceful. He loved it.

If she had been in her human form, she had a feeling that her cheeks would of turned a shade of red when she noticed him staring into her face. When he turned away, she looked down and her ear twitched a little before she glanced at him again, watching as he sneezed and shook his head. He wasn't the only one feeling confused at the moment. While she had met many different creatures and being in the forest, this one was different from the others but she couldn't put her finger on exactly why he was different.

She had to look away again after she told him that she was homeless and she heard his sigh. The female hated that she hadn't been able to gain a place within a pack of wolves because of her strange coloring and scent, but then again, she didn't always take the shape of a canine. When she chose to travel long distances, the form of a wolf was best because wolves had high stamina and moved quickly. Usually she took the form of a smaller animal like a fox or a feline. Once she had done a bird but that experience was to weird for her and she preferred to keep her feet on the ground. At the offer to stay with him for the night, she looked at him in surprise and it showed in her eyes.

For a bit she was silent as she considered his offer before she slowly nodded. She would need a place to stay for the night and the next day she'd probably be on her way to another part of the woods and she'd probably take a different form then. "Thank you." she told him before slowly standing up.

His body was filled with an unfamiliar emotion when she accepted his offer. Excitement? No, that couldn't be it. There was nothing exciting about letting a stranger in his home. But as his eyes took in her form once more he slapped himself mentally. This was a female... and he had been alone for so long. Perhaps some company would be nice. He smiled and turned his head, motioning for her to follow him.

"Come, it is not far from here"

With that, he started off in a slow run towards his home, being sure she was behind him. He kept his senses alert, it would be a pain to run into anymore trouble tonight. His pace was smooth and quite relaxing, fast enough to get were the needed to in decent timing but not so fast your muscles burned beneath your skin.

It didnt take to long to get to his home. No more than an hour anyway. Once they were near the house, his scent grew stronger. Not a foul odor but a masculine scent to warn any other animal not to stray on his territory. The cabin was about 2/3 the size of a normal home. The wood was dark and lined with a bit of age. It had small, square windows. Black curtains covered them. He cursed himself as he approached his front door, he couldnt unlock the door in this form. And he could not shift back to his humanoid form, for clothes did not shift with him. The often tore if he was even wearing them to begin with. Looking back towards the female, he decided to use the back window that normally stayed open. It was the window to the living room. The carpet was a velvet red, with wood beneath it. The walls were a dark grey with white symbols chalked here and there.

"Well"

He said, turning back towards her.

"Its not much, but its a place to stay. If you wish to bathe before you sleep, be sure to let me know"

She slowly stood up and stretched as he turned his head and motioned for her to follow. Nodding, she took off after him at a quick trot, her long slightly feathery tail swaying behind her with each step she took. While they ran, she kept her eye on him while also keeping her senses open for any one else they might run into.

Luckily they got to his home without any problems and she didn't loose him. As they approached his home, she noticed his scent getting stronger and she slowed down a little for a little bit before hurrying to catch up with him. She looked up at the cabin and she stopped in front of it, gazing up at the front door while he approached it. Silently, she moved around the side of the small building and entered the cabin, looking around slowly.

Her gaze lingered upon the white symbols before looking at him when he turned back towards her. "It's nice." she told him before pausing at the mention of bathing. Looking back at herself, she did notice that her fur was looking a little ragged and dusty. "I... I could use a bath." she said with a slight nod. "If it's no trouble."

Kavkah nodded and moved down the hall towards the bathing room. He cursed himself once more, opening doors was an irritating task while in his hound-like form. Pausing he turned towards her and moved his lips to speak.

"If you would give me a moment, I would like to phase into a more appropriate form. I will bring you some clothing as well"

With that said, He moved to his own room. His room was small and basic. It consisted of a closet and a bed. He rarely used the room, why stock it up. The bed was covered in nothing but animal furs, bears, dear and rabbit. Closing the door behind him, his bones began to crack and twist as skin grew over his scales. The dog had vanished, in its place was a simple human male. He looked normal at a first glance. Tall, Broad shoulders, thin but muscular body, well defined facial features and stunning pale blue eyes that went along well with the long raven hair. Bat at a closer glance and perhaps a touch, his more inhuman features would stand out. His pupils were slightly pointed at each end and were more tall then wide. The difference was slight, but it was hard to disguise some features. His finger nails resembled his scales and changed color with his mood. His skin was cold to the touch, as he was a cold blooded creature. And beneath his skin his scales lay flattened, and were easily felt.

Slipping on a pair of leather pants, he moved to the room across from his. His mothers room. This room had much more in it. The floors were a smooth asphalt with several chalked symbols and rituals covering the ground. Several ceremonial tools lay here and there, and a small closet sat in the corner. He pulled out a pair of woman's leather pants and a corset top. His mother was very thin but a bit tall. He hoped they would fit his guest. He stepped back out into the hallway and stood before the she-wolf, motioning for her to follow him.

"Come, the bathing room is this way"

He said sweetly, moving to the end of the hallway. The bathing room was quite large, and the floor was tiled in a beautiful marble tiling. In the middle was a pool-like bath. He cleaned it regularly, though he normally washed himself in the lakes and streams of the forest. Setting the simple pair of clothes down and turned his attention back towards her, smiling warmly.

"Can you figure out how to run the water or should I do it for you?"

Moving down the hall, she followed him down the hall to a door and she stopped when he did and she tilted her head slightly as he spoke. For a moment she stared at him before nodded calmly. Watching him leave her, she slowly laid down against the opposite wall as she waited for him, resting her head against her paws as she waited. As she waited, she heard the sound of his body shifting, the sounds of his bones snapping making her ears twitch slightly and she shivered a little.

For several long minutes she laid there until she heard different foot steps approaching and she opened her eyes to see a man approaching her and she stood up, looking up at him as he walked towards her with clothing in his arms. Shaking her fur, she began following him to the bathing room. Entering the large room, she looked around the room and she moved towards the tub.

After being asked if she could figure out how to run the water, she nodded. "I might be homeless, but I have used a bathtub before." she told him. "But thanks for the offer." Moving over to him, she momentarily nudged his leg in a sign of thanks before moving back over to the tub and jumping up onto the edge and waiting for him to leave. Once he had left and closed the door behind him, she slowly began to shift back, her bones cracking and snapping as they shifted and changed. She groaned softly and stood up onto two long thin legs before stretching with a soft sigh. She was a tall female, though she was shorter then he was by several inches and she was just a little fuller then his mother had been. Her skin was pale like freshly fallen snow and her hair was a long wild mane that seemed to defy gravity no matter what she did and her pale silver eyes remained those of a wolf.

Starting the water, she slipped into the tub as it filled after she scrounged around and found a towel and set one out. She was in the bath for about ten minutes before she got out and dried off while shivering a little. Scrubbing her now clean hair with the towel, she shook her hair out before slipping into the clothes he had left her. The pants were snug, fitting to her almost like a second skin and the corset top he had given her clung to her and pushed her breasts up a bit which made her blush just a little. Nodding slightly, she silently headed out of the bathing room, searching for him. As she walked, she gently bit her bottom lip, causing it to turn a slightly darker red color.

He chuckled at her response and left her to bathe, closing the door behind him. He made his way to his room and sat on the furs of his bed. His bed was rather large, king size and his opinion very comfortable. But there was still nothing better than sleeping in a bed of grass below the stars. For a moment, he stared out his window. A serene smile played at his lips as he watched the clouds roll past the moon, dancing as the wind drove them away.

With a sigh, he reached a hand behind his pillow and withdrew a small leather sketchbook. Being alone and bored for a good period of time, he grew fond of drawing. Many of his sketches were of animals and god-like figures. Raising a finger to his face, he pushed his dark hair behind his ears and took out a pencil from the spirals of the book. His hand went across the page in a smooth, delicate motion. A few moments later a woman stood beneath the trees of a forest. In one hand was a bow, the other placed on the head of a wolf. Artemis, the godess of all things wild.

He quickly shut the book as footsteps rang through the hallway. Turning his eyes from the book, he stared up at her. For a moment, he was caught in a gaze. She was.. beautiful. Standing, he took a step toward her. He raised a finger to her hair and met her gaze. That strange feeling filled his body once more. He shook his head and stepped back a bit, running a hand nervously through his hair. His body was acting in ways he had not learned of. It almost scared him.

" Im glad to see the clothes fit. They look... well on you. You may sleep were you wish. "

His eyes moved to his own bed for a moment. It would be nice to have her company throughout the night. He quickly moved that thought away, she probably wouldnt find that appropriate.

She moved down the hall until she found his room once more. It was a little different for her since she was no longer at knee height and she saw things differently in this form. Looking up, she entered his room and paused just inside of the door, rubbing her arm as she stood there, some of her bangs falling in her eyes. The girl stood there silently, watching as Kavkah stood and walked over to her. The way he stared at her caused her to blush slightly and she smiled slightly, her lips curling up in the corners. Her gaze moved from his for a moment to look at his hand as he raised a finger to her long feathery hair before she looked at him again. The girl felt the same strange feeling he had, but when he stepped back, she quickly looked away and swallowed while brushing some of her hair from her face, tucking it behind one of her ever so slightly pointed ear.

Like him, some of her exotic features resembled those of her wolf form. Such as the slightly narrow shape of her pretty face and the angle of her eyes. Her ears were pointed as well, though they didn't look much like her wolf ears.

When he spoke, she smiled again and nodded. "Yes. Thank you for letting me wear these clothes." she said to him before nodding again. "Where... what places are available?" she asked gently. "I don't wish to sleep where I'm not supposed to." She looked up at him and brushed her hair back once more but since it was wild, it just returned to hang in her face. "Oh, my name. It's Luna." she told him.

"Luna"

He repeated, playing with her name on his tongue.

"Beautiful"

He spoke sweetly. The name fit her. She was quiet and serene.. yet beautiful. Just like the moon that shone with its stars, bringing light to the darkest hours of the night. And her eyes, almost as if the moon lent them her light so they may shine as well. A shiver ran down his spine as he stared into those silver eyes. He snapped from the gaze, he had not told her his own name. He didnt give his name away so easily, but she had given hers. It would be rude not to return the favor.

"Kavkah. But you may call me Kav if you would like. And as for the places you may sleep. There is my old creators room, the living room and if you do not feel safe alone tonight... there is my room. Feel free to sleep wherever you please"

He never felt comfortable in his parents old room, something still hung in the air. It made the hair on his neck stand, it was too uncomfortable to sleep soundly in that room. And the living room couches werent uncomfortable but they werent too roomy. He had never thought of a guest room for they never had guests over except for a few woman that they had brought home for him, with whatever promises they gave them. But he was not permitted to let them live and give away his creators little secret. So there was no point in having a spare bedroom.

Luna nodded when he repeated her name before smiling at him as he told her it was beautiful. Her pale cheeks flushed a soft shade of pink and she bowed her head slightly. "Thank you." she told him before gently biting her bottom lip again. She looked modestly down at her feet, her long thick black lashes shadowing her pale eyes like dark clouds over the moon before she looked up at him again.

The girl was a little surprised to hear him offer his name and she tilted her head slightly. "Kavkah." she said softly before nodding with another smile. "It's a good name. Strong." She was sincere in her words and her smile was kind as she looked at him. While he told her about the different places that she could sleep that night and she looked thoughtful. Honestly, the thought about sleeping in his creators room made her a little uncomfortable and after being along for so long made her ache for some company when sleeping, missing the feeling of another being sleeping next to her.

"If... if you don't mind, I would like to join you in your room." she said gently before blushing a little more. She knew that it was a improper for them to share a room since they had just met each other, but she wanted to spend the night next to another living person, even if it was just one night and the next night she'd end up alone once more.

A light chuckle filled his lips as her cheeks lit in a rosey blush. Adorable. He tilted his head as she commented his name, thanking her in return with a small bow of the head. Sliding a finger back through his hair, he pushed the dark strands away from his face. He froze for a moment, his face moving up to hers as she choose were she would be sleeping. She wanted to stay with him through the night? This brought a smile to his pale face, and a small blush shaded his cheeks.

"It will be a pleasure to have you in my company through the night. Let me grab some extra blankets for you"

Stepping passed her, he moved across the hallway to the cupboard by the bathroom. He pulled out a couple more fur blankets. Tossing them over his shoulder, he walked back into his room and to his bed. After straightening up his bed a bit, he layed the blankets over one side for her to use.

"Will that be enough?"

He asked politely, moving back in front of her.

His chuckle made her blush a little brighter and she smiled gently while she twirled a stray lock of her hair around her finger a little. She could tell that he was thanking her for her compliment of his name and she bowed her head in return with a small smile. Tilting her head, Luna gazed up at him as he smiled and she noticed the blush that shaded his pale cheeks. Her smile growing slightly as she gazed up at him through her eyelashes. As he spoke of getting blankets for her, she opened her mouth to protest but he was already gathering the blankets before she could say anything.

Luna watched him as he carried several fur blankets and fix the bed for them to share. Just one of the blankets would of been enough since she was used to sleeping in the wild without any shelter most nights. After being asked if that would be enough, she smiled gently and nodded. "Yes. It will be more then enough. Thank you Kav." she said gently. "You have been very generous and kind towards me. I wish to repay you some day for all you've done tonight."

Luna was serious about making it up to him. She felt that she was in his debt. Not only had he saved her life without having to, but he gave her a place to bath, clothes to wear and a bed to sleep in for the night. It was the most kindness anyone had shown her in a long time and in truth... such kind acts were refreshing and in a way it made living alone for so long worth it in a way.

He tilted his head, gazing at her in confusion. She wished to repay him... for his kindness? His intentions were to simply keep her near him as much as he could. Though he would be hesitant to admit it, her company made him feel... he couldnt quite find the word for it. His body felt warm and soft, his mind was calm. He liked this woman, his acts were for his own benefit. That he did not want payment for. Kavkah shook his head and parted his lips to speak.

"If any is to be thanked, it is you. You have brought excitement to my day. Your company is worth whatever I have to offer. I feel like I owe you."

He said sweetly, taking one of her delicate hands in his. Raising it to his lips, he kissed her fingers gently. He was simply glad she did not fear him.. Did not run away. He often enjoyed being alone, living in quiet. But it began to grow lonely.. empty almost. He had watched the human cities in his spare time. The way they had lived in pairs confused him. They held on to each other with smiles on their faces. They were so happy with another by their side. It seemed as if life was meant to be shared with another. Even wolves took up a mate for life.

She could both see and sense his confusion and for some reason she found it... endearing in a way and it made her softly chuckle while watching him. Just from watching him, Luna could tell that he'd had less interaction with others then she had since the thought of her paying him back for his kindness seemed to confuse him. However his next comment took her by surprise and her eyes widened, her surprise showing on her face as she gazed up at him before smiling gently.

"Me? Why should..." she started before smiling a full out smile when he said he felt as if he owed her. "You owe me nothing." she told him. When he took her small hand within his and raised it to his lips, she smiled while blushing faintly as he kissed her fingers. As his lips passed over her skin, she couldn't help but to shiver a little and she gently squeezed his hand.

As she watched him with her ever watchful and studying gaze, she could tell that this was a very new encounter for him. However, it was a very new type of encounter for her as well. It wasn't every day that she was invited to someone else's home and she asked if she could share their bed. Infact, this was the first time she'd ever done it. Being around him caused her to experience strange new emotions that she'd never felt before with anyone else. But whatever the emotion was, it was one she was thoroughly enjoying so far.

After a minute, she cleared her throat and shook her hair from her face. "Shall we go to bed?" she asked, a little unsure of what to really say. "I'm sure we could both use some rest. Despite being sedated, I didn't get much rest." Flushing, she bowed her head with a slightly sheepish look on her face while she awaited his reply. After a minute she looked up at him to see his reaction.

His eyes watched her little hand as it enclosed around his own. Though it was a little action, it sent a shiver down his spine. He was enjoying her touch, faint as it was. He moved his attention back to her as her voice filled his ears once more. He owed her nothing? She gave him such pleasant company and yet wanted nothing in return? How odd.

Feeling her gaze on him yet again, he raised her hand up to his face and pressed her fingers against his cheek. Her skin was soft to the touch yet warm at every tip. He leaned his face into her hand for a moment, enjoying the feel of her skin against his own. He nodded slightly when she asked if they could sleep.

"Of course. Make yourself comfortable."

Releasing her hand, he moved to the other side of his fur covered bed and peeled the blankets back. Sliding beneath them, he sat up and motioned for her to join him. The bed was large enough for her to sleep comfortably without being against him, if that was how she wished to sleep.
