Suggestion Ignoring Threads

Sometimes, you realize that someone would simply not make an ideal RP partner, and would rather not see their RT, but you still get along with them as a person, or simply have nothing against them and feel like ignoring them is too extreme an option to move their RT out of the way of your searches. I think it would be a neat feature for it to be possible to ignore a specific thread rather than a whole person.

This has been requested multiple times and supposedly is "on the list". It's been years though since I originally suggested it so I'm not holding out much hope of it coming any time soon unfortunately.

In the meantime the best thing I've figured is using the ignore feature despite that certainly not being the intent. Though, of course, that blocks PM's from them so I wouldn't use it for people you still want to be able to talk to like you say.

Hard agree! I won't name the threads in question because I don't wanna flame against a member who has done nothing to me, but there's threads I have no interest in that always appear at the top of the list of the categories I peruse and it's a bit frustrating to have to see them bumping down others whom I might, or do, have more interest in.

Yes. When I first joined, due to the chronic misuse of MxAny signifying that the poster is open to any gender of player playing a female character, I blocked tons of threads to spare myself re-reading threads without any MxM potential. It ended up screwing up the chat experience, when I was part of that. Then, I'd forget who I had an actual bad experience with and who just didn't know how to use the gender-tags correctly. It was a mess, and I had to unblock everyone.
