Thank you for taking a few minutes to read my thread. This is a passion project that I want to write out and have been looking for the right person to help with this ambitious idea. I have the beginning mapped out and listed below, but where it goes from there will depend on where we take it. I am willing to play the ladies who are meant to take powers, or I can role reverse and be the ladies looking to give their powers. Don't understand? Keep reading.
Every few thousand years, the Greek Olympians begin to grow older and weak. During this time, they become mortal and begin to age. They have to pass their essence onto a new host, which is giving the new host their powers and longevity. During this time, the Olympians can be killed before they pass their powers on, which leads to a massive civil war between those loyal to Zues and those loyal to Ares.
Zeus, Posideon, Hades, Hephestus, Aelous, and Apollo have been hiding in a small town called New Olympus. In this town, their chosen ones live. The Olympians are protecting the girls until they are old enough to take their powers, but Ares learns who they are and launches an attack meant to eliminate the chosen ones before they can take the gods' powers. Zeus and his followers have to reveal themselves to protect these girls from the dangers.
By fate, these girls are supposed to fall in love with the Olympians that will guide them to take their powers. These Olympians can only pass their powers onto someone who has been "struck by cupid's arrow." (They have to love each other and make love on an alter inside the specific Olympain's temple).
We will build toward those events by having the war heat up and the girls having to learn their importance while being protected by these Olympains along the way. Once the olympains do pass on their powers, they will become mortal but still continue to mentor the girls.
It starts with Ares, Thanatos, and Triton having secretly made an alliance. Thanatos has already over thrown Hades by the beginning and taken control of Tartarus. Ares releases mythical beasts, Hydra, Chimera, Cherberus, the python, griffin, and lycan to hunt down the six chosen ones and kill them before they can take their powers.
Meanwhile, in their hometown, New Olympus, Zeus is acting as the mayor, Posideon is an admiral in the navy, Hades is a local detective, Apollo is posing as a high school sport star, Hephestus is a local mechanic and Aeolus is a history teacher.
Zeus' chosen one is the principal of the local high school. Thr lycan comes after her. I see Zeus getting wounded but not dying. Later, he will be captured and taken somewhere the rest of the girls have to go and save him with what gods haven't passed their powers by then. I could see a male version of hera being a real chevonist here and jealous the chosen one isn't just throwing herself at him, or even just a jealous woman before she passes her powers on.
Posideon's chosen one is a rich house wife. Poseidon saves her from the hydra and takes her to Atlantis to protect her. He would want her to become his queen since she would take his powers. This is when his son Triton would lead a revolution to try and kill his father and claim her as a trophy.
Hades' chosen one is his partner at work. Appearing to his partner afyer barely escaping Tartarus, he will kind of become their guide. I could see Persephone having a part but whether she is loyal to Hades or Thanatos is up to you. Definitely see cerberus coming after her but maybe becoming a loyal pet once it realizes Hades loved her.
Apollo's is a high school cheerleader. I could see him being a brash, hot headed teen. Artemis is a big weakness for him, since he wants to protect his sister but I see her secretly hating him for the death of Orion. The python would certainly come after her.
Aeolus' is a local weather girl for the news. Not really sure of these events yet, so this story is wide open. I see the griffin trying to kill her.
Hephestus' is his tom boy neighbor who just graduated from high school. The Chimera attacks her and hephestus saves her but is bitten by the snake tail and cursed with hate. As he becomes a destructive raging lunatic, they learn true loves kiss can save him. Of course they think Aphrodite and have to convince her to help bit she doesn't cure him. Instead, his chosen one is the kiss he needs which brings the worst jealousy out of Aphrodite.
If you would prefer, I can play the ladies as younger. Teenagers in high school or college if you prefer. If you chose to be the young men having powers passed to them, you can have them be whatever age you chose.
