Hiiiii!! Please don't mind this copy and pasted public message. It's a real bitch to type right now, so I'm kind of stuck.
I stupidly stuck my hand into the middle of a dog fight to break it up on Wednesday night and ended up nearly losing my thumb. Luckily I had some flesh and tendon still holding it onto my hand but the top is completely displaced. The ER doc managed to stitch it back into place but until I get into surgery with an orthopedic surgeon I'm down to one hand.
I had two really bad days following the idiot move, but I'm on the mend. I have my appointment with the surgeon on Monday first thing and will hopefully have surgery the same day, but we shall see. In the meantime, my posts will be very delayed.
I don't expect to be out longer than a few weeks though. Fingers crossed!

Healing up really nicely! Turned out my tendons and cartilage were totally fine, so the surgery was less extensive than anticipated, but my bones still needed a lot of TLC and I'll definitely have arthritis once all is said and done, so I still have a long healing process ahead of me, but I'm feeling well enough to pick back up on my writing. 
I'll be slow! Much slower than normal, and probably unable to type as much as I would just due to the quickness to which I get tired during these early days where I'm restricted to one hand, taking pain meds and antibiotics, etc, but hopefully the quality I send you doesn't change. Just the quantity Who knows? Maybe this will be an exercise in editing my prose until I reach orange status. 
If a super slow pace is not something you're up for, absolutely no hard feelings. Just let me know we need to pause. ^^
