Lovers separated because perhaps the clans or covens didn’t approve, one of them was sent away or imprisoned somewhere. More can be discussed in pms.
The enchantress, her apprentice.
Perhaps a witch sorceress enchantress or whatever is looking for a young woman she can train to take her place some day, maybe it’s because she’s getting older and if she uses to much magic it could kill her unless a ritual is performed allowing her to become young again. When she sees how beautiful her apprentice is after being blind for centuries she develops feelings for her. More can be discussed in pms.
