Another day dawned upon the coliseum and another slew of terrible creatures and villainous beings was set to fight and defile the poor, unfortunate souls that were captured and released upon the arena for the crowd's amusement. Not every battle was a wonderful showing, sometimes the heroines managed to actually win and avoid getting fucked in front of the crowd and sometimes the actual 'action' was too repetitious as to be boring for the debased tastes of the viewers. Nevertheless business was good and matches could be tossed out again and again, covering up any poor showings with sheer quantity and variety. Today was just one such example of variety that wasn't often performed; a match with not one but two heroines at the same time.

Phoh'uth gripped the microphone within his wet, wriggling tentacles and cleared his throat to announce the upcoming match to the crowd. He hoped this would be entertaining for the fans but wasn't wholly convinced. In any case, his job wasn't to call the shots but rather to keep the crowd happy and excited and thus he wouldn't allow any doubts to surface in the public eye. "We have a special treat for you all today my most lovely degenerates. A two for one special!" A beam of light deposited Irena 'Icicle' Venetia into the arena for the third time now, having lost her previous two battles, and Phoh'uth reminded the crowd of these past failures as he explained to anyone that wasn't already aware just exactly who this woman was. When he was finished however he did not change focus to her enemy but rather her ally.

A second beam of light touched down a few fight near to Irena and, when it faded, revealed a short, red-haired woman with an athletic build topped off with cat ears and a matching tail. "Kaitlin 'Kat' O'Brian! You might know her from her previous matches. This spitfire has plenty of energy and prefers to let her fists, and feet, do the talking! She's won a few matches now but will this be the one to break her streak? Well, for that I need to introduce their opponent."

One final beam of light touched down opposite the two women and brought a somewhat tall, slender woman in flowing black robes adorned with silver bits of metal to give the impression of armor along with matching jewelry to complete the look. Her skin was pale with dark, black eyebrows and lips while her long hair was a pure and unnatural white. While there was nothing apparently wrong with the woman's look, her body seemed healthy enough aside from the pale nature, there was something esoteric and off about her that just stuck in the mind. Like her grasp upon life was hanging by a single thread, like she was in a space between the living and the dead. "Welcome Sieghilde Von Blücher back to the coliseum! This lovely conjurer of the dark arts may not look like much of a ravager but she doesn't need to be! She has... people for that, heh."

As if on cue Sieghilde gathered dark magic within her hands and waved them around in some sort of incantation. After a moment or two she lifted both hands into the air as if she was flipping a table and two black, skeletal arms burst forth from the dark soil before clawing their way to the surface entirely. These skeletons were teeming with darkness, so much so that an aura of malignant evil emanated from them to steal the light and cast their surroundings in blue-black shadow. While they looked to be wearing armor and tattered rags, a close inspection would easily reveal these to be so decayed as to not provide any protection at all. However the dark metal shields they both lifted in their left hands were very much functional by comparison.

With all competitors on the field and ready the gong sounded to begin the match as the two undead shuffled closer to the two heroines. "I don't know why they keep asking me to come back here. I'm far too busy managing my army to dally in such frivolous affairs and yet their offers of compensation remain too generous to deny. So be it." She stepped closer and clasped her hands together, causing a wave of darkness to roll down her robes and out across the ground; tendrils licking at the soil. If the skeletons themselves held an evil aura then this woman's was suffocating by comparison and yet possessed of entirely different characteristics. As the skeletons approached the heroines would feel a weight upon them, pressing down as if to quash any use of magical power. From Sieghilde herself though, well, Irena would be able to guess the intent as the warmth of corruption ignited within her cursemarks, threatening to activate all of them at once. As if sensing that Kat was unaffected, the necromancer turned towards her with a wicked grin. "Haven't been touched by darkness yet? I can fix that." Before she launched an orb of shadow towards the catgirl.

Both heroine's shared a moment of mutual commiseration on finding themselves back in the hated arena. While Kat was used to fighting alone, Icicle was particularly glad to have a little support (especially given how well things had gone in the last few battles). But there wasn't time for anything but the briefest of introductions before their opponent appeared. Evil radiated from the pale woman and Icicle in particular was very aware of the impact of that darkness on the curses sealed around her body.

"You take the adds," Kat suggested, her body already tensed for combat, "and I'll go mess with the mage."

Icicle shivered as the first wave of dark magic engulfed the pair. Kat seemed unaffected but the ice sorceress visibly wilted under the strain of that unnatural fatigue. Worse still, the second wave threatened to spark everyone of those dormant curses into life. It took an effort of will from the mage to resist, but she was already wondering just how long she might be able to hold on.

Kat had clearly drawn the necromancer's attention, and despite the whirling dervish's best efforts, she couldn't quite evade the bolt of dark energy hurled her way. The catgirl braced herself for the impact, but the magic was fail too powerful for the warrior to shrug off quite so easily.

Icicle chose to ignore the diminutive warrior's suggestion and, instead, flung a pair of ice bolts toward the distant necromancer. For her part, Kat realised that she wasn't likely to get past the skeletons without cost and, having already taken a fairly substantial hit, the catgirl decided to hit the opponent directly in front of her instead. The warrior became a blur as she took out her frustrations on the bony creature.

Ice Attack 1 Evasion - 7

Ice Attack 2 Evasion - 36

Skeleton 2
Can't evade literally any of those attacks. The second hit destroys the main body and the remaining two hits are wasted. The skeleton remains standing, however its aura has faded. (Skeleton 1 still has a fatigue aura though)

The darkness that struck Kat certainly believed in taking the path of least resistance in this case as the cursemark took hold. The small woman was already cat-like in appearance. Now she'd simply become that much moreso in time. Although, for now, there was little change beyond the symbol burning its way upon her lower abdomen as if to mirror the positioning of her womb within.

The ice bolts launched at the necromancer proved ineffective. Despite the close proximity, Sieghilde managed to step out of the way of each blast, though not by very much, and remained unscathed. The skeleton that Kat took out her frustrations upon, however, was not so lucky as it bore the brunt of every punch and kick levied upon it and stumbled back with a very much shattered ribcage. The aura it exuded faded away but it did not fall, instead very much remaining upright and intent to continue fighting.

Both skeletons swiped a bony hand towards their respective enemy, one engaging Irena while the other with the shattered ribcage swung out at Kat. Both undead creatures were fairly pathetic in their capabilities, lacking any sort of real skill in combat, but that didn't mean they couldn't still potentially be a problem. Meanwhile Sieghilde threw another blast of darkness towards the catgirl in the hopes of applying a second curse and no longer needing to worry about that for the remainder of the battle, at least in regards to Kat specifically, but she followed up this magical attack with a far more mundane one as she attempted to squeeze in between her two skeletons and grab a handful of Irena's lower garb; hoping to rip or tear and do some damage to the material. "I command thousands of undead at the same time in my home realm. If the coliseum didn't limit me to just two, well, you'd stand no chance at all."

Dark energy once again poured over the two heroines and this time, Kat wasn't free from its impact. The curse with which she'd just be struck burnt hot, making the catgirl's body squirm with unpleasant energy. Icicle for her part, was able to banish any ill effects at least for the moment.

Kat was a little surprised by the skeleton's resilience, but she was happy to have at least limited the undead's foul auras. The monster's attack was all too easy to evade and the catgirl was happy to punish that mistake. When it came, the necromancer's curse was a lot easy to evade this time around, but the pale woman's words still stirred the little warrior to reply.

"All I hear is yappin'," she sneered, before using the momentum of her dodge to attack again.

Having seen the woman effortlessly evade her previous attacks without difficulty, Icicle was more on edge. The ice-mage only barely avoided the skeleton's grasping hands, although the necromancer's assault seemed a little more clumsy in comparison and therefore easier to sidestep. Angrily, the sorceress tossed another pair of bolts toward the woman, hoping that their closer range might give her less time to dodge. Much to the young heroine's surprise, however, each bolt seemed to drain far more of her mana than was usual.

The bolts of ice from Irena managed to hit their mark in both cases against Sieghilde though, instead of looking troubled, she shrugged the impacts off completely as a strand of necromantic energy stretched out to connect her to one of her nearby skeletons an deposited the biting cold upon the undead; and it was already too injured in its torso to be impacted by the strikes. That said, the cold did cling to its black bones to suggest that her weakening effects were in place but that was a small consolation.

By a similar measure of effectiveness, Kat's counter blows against both Sieghilde and the skeleton targeting her were about as effective if not less so. The skeleton just took the strike again upon its already shattered torso while Sieghilde conjured a barrier of darkness which spat out a blob of inky black back in the direction of the catgirl. Kat's following kicks to Sieghilde landed but with no recoil or impact from the necromancer as two more strands delivered the force of her kicks again to one of her skeletons which was rather unbothered.

"Ha hah ha, yapping? Did I use too many syllables for you to understand little girl? That's okay, you don't need to be smart in order to put on a good show. In fact, it's usually quite the opposite as people like to see girls like you in a rather mindless state." While Sieghilde taunted the catgirl her skeletons continued to try and claw their bony fingers at the two women's respective outfits. After a moment of mental calculation about the state of her opponents, Sieghilde decided to all but ignore Kat for the moment and focus on Irena instead as she continued to make attempts at grabbing hold of the mage's lower garments in a sort of disinterested manner; as if she considered herself too good for all of this but intended to play along anyway.

The heroine's attacks seemed to have dulled the dark energy flowing from the skeletons, but the woman still spread her own aura and this time neither woman was able to completely resist its impact. Icicle's lips burnt with the need to keep close to the necromancer, while Kat could feel the mark across her abdomen calling to her more feral nature.

Irena tried to stay in motion, and avoid the hands grasping at her nethers. The skeleton was much slower this time, but the woman's second attach tore at the mage's skirt, nearly ripping the garment from her body.

Kat for her part, failed to avoid the curse energy that ricocheted back from the necromancer's barrier but she was able to resist the evil energy. The catgirl danced away from the skeleton and countered with a blow of her own. She tried to focus on the skeleton's limbs this time, in the hope of stopping the witch from playing her games.

Icicle aimed two bolts at her own skeleton's legs, also trying to cripple at least one of her opponents and then focus down the enemy mage.

Every single attack leveled at the two skeletons found its mark. Not one of the heroine's missed in this case as they blasted and pummeled the undead creatures, cracking bone and weakening the overall frame of their unholy existence. Even with limbs shattered apart the malignant energies still held them together enough to remain functional but it was rather clear that this wouldn't last for long at this rate.

Sieghilde sighed at the progress that her opponents were making and ultimately decided to simply step away. "Well they are rather lacking on their own aren't they?" She said in parting as she slipped away, doing nothing besides retreating to a safer distance for the time being; leaving her two skeletons to keep the heroines occupied as they continued to mindlessly attack their clothing.

The curse, thrumming through Icicle's lips compelled the heroine to keep close to her necromantic adversary, wasting her chance to end this battle quickly. She hardly noticed the skeleton's attempts at removing her clothing and dodged more on instinct than anything. Kat, on the other hand, seemed in no real rush to engage Sieghilde, instead, the catgirl continued her demolition of the skeletons.

Slipping under one bony creature's attack, she punished the monster with a ruthless counterblow. Fists and feet pounded the creature that had been fighting Icicle only moments before. Then, the warrior used the prodigious strength in her prehensile tail to propel her across the arena floor, hurling herself bodily at the retreating sorceress before launching a vicious kick at the pale woman.

One of the skeletons attempted to stop Irena's movement, swiping at her ripped skirt, but it hardly mattered as Kat found herself slipping into 'the zone' so to speak. The catgirl threw a series of lightning fast blows at the skeletons and, just as quickly, scampered across the arena to chase down and slam Sieghilde in the chest with a flying kick. The necromancer felt the impact of this blow and fell back onto the ground in defeat. She clearly could not fight and yet she was not dead either. Darkness seeped from her as if her very blood was pure malignance and she seemed much more annoyed than fearful or pained.

"Enjoy it while it lasts I suppose and hope you don't meet me again. Should I ever return, well, I won't let myself be so hamstrung." With those parting words two large wings of shadow rose from the ground and curled around her, blocking sight and just as quickly slipping back downward into the soil. Sieghilde was gone and both Irena and Kat were victorious. A first time occurrence for Irena though a common reality for the ever-prideful feline. The crowd booed and shouted their displeasure at the brief, and boring, match but the gong did sound and the beams of light came to remove the two heroines from the arena quickly so that some better entertainment could, hopefully, be found.

For defeating two monstrous and one devil-tier enemy Irena and Kat each gain 50 EP

Narratively Irena is allowed to leave the coliseum or stay and try to earn increasing rewards for each victory she receives moving forward.
