Things haven't quite been the same since the Batman was killed. It left a hole in Gotham's ecosystem. The police did their best, at least those that weren't taking a cut from the likes of Cobblepot or Falcone. Gotham was always plagued with a criminal element, but when Batman showed up well... Much like any virus it adapted and got stronger. It would always seem like Gotham was stuck in an endless cycle for Justice and the common citizens of the city were caught in the cross fire. Now with Batman gone someone needed someone new to balance the scales.
Bruce and my father, Commissioner James Gordon, always seemed to have a handle on keeping the darkness at bay. It seemed now it was my responsibility to try and push back against these forces and I would use everything at my disposal to get this done. This city... It will not break me.
Wow that was really overtly serious for what I wanted. I guess I got carried away. Anyways hello everyone. I am looking for new people to write with. I always try to write fantasy and the like but I keep doubling back around to superheroes. They provide just the right mix of fantastic adventures with a modern setting where things can sort of breathe between scenes of absolute depravity.
So what I've been really craving with my ADHD squirrel brain is something within the Batman universe. I sort of wanted to get a mix of the Arkham series with a bit of the story of Gotham Knights where Barbara Gordon has sort of taken on the role of Gotham's defender. In this story Barbara certainly has no problem taken down goons, but actual villains on the other hand well...Unfortunately, the criminals of Gotham didn't just fear or hate the Batgirl, but they lusted after her too. At every opportunity, they found ways to capture or corner her and disgraced her by having their way with her. What is a nefarious fiend to do when their is a beautiful young woman wrapped in latex knelling before them.
In this I think it would be fun to sort of have a good day/night look to the story. By day Barbara Gordon would need to have to carry out the charade that she was a ditzy Playgirl who inherited Bruce Wayne's fortune with tabloids calling her a gold digger. By night she would be Batgirl, fighting back against criminal, solving crimes, being at a reserved stall in the washroom for the Iceberg Lounge to service a glory hole from. It's all sounds like an interesting. Now for this I feel it could either start out this way or perhaps it becomes a story of corruption to a point where Batgirl believes that the only way to quell the big leaders of the criminal underworld is through use of her body.
TLDR this is essentially my original post for spider Gwen with a Batgirl coat of paint.
