The music was way too loud, Arianna thought as she stood against the wall. The frat house was crowded with young adults, either gyrating to the music, walking around, or sitting and talking with their drinks. Arianna had decided that she didn’t want to drink, and was therefore the designated driver for her friend Jen. Now Jen had wandered off somewhere with some guy and had left her alone.
She sighed, shifting her weight from one foot to the next. Her green eyes took in the scene. There was one guy who she had been keeping her eye on for a while. He was sexy and had an alluring aura, even though he hadn’t even gave her a glance. She sighed, pushing her long black hair away from her face as she started to walk outside. She sat on a lawn chair and put her black Mary Jane clad feet up on the edge, making sure her black skirt covered everything. Her white tank top seemed to glow in the moonlight as she sat there staring into the distance. She faded away from reality and thought about her father.
He was probably preaching right now, she thought. She remembered how opposed to her coming to this party she was, and how she had angrily stalked out of the house and came anyways. Huffing, she told herself that she didn’t care, and that she was 21 years old, old enough to go to a party. Her father had tried to shelter her for too long, and now she wanted to taste the joys of the world. She hadn’t gotten a boyfriend yet because that wasn’t really one of her priorities. She was more focused on her psychology studies instead. She wasn’t paying any attention to her surroundings as she lost herself in thought.
