Callie's heels clicked against the floor as she walked down the aisle and made her way to the front of the room where the bride and groom would say their vows. Her best friend was getting married so naturally she asked Callie to be her bridesmaid. She wasn't a big fan of weddings but she knew the reception afterward would be fun. If she could just find some way to get through the actual wedding everything would be fine. Callie was happy for her friend but it was still a bit depressing to see her friend getting married while Callie was still alone. She had a few serious boyfriends but none of them were marriage material. She was only nineteen so she knew she was way too young to be worried about being alone forever but still sometimes the thought crossed her mind.
She forced a smile onto her face as her friend finally began to walk down the aisle. Callie was standing at the side of the room so that her friend and the groom could stand in the middle. She had on a long pale yellow dress that looked amazing on her with her tan skin and long blonde hair. Today her hair was curled elegantly in soft curls and she had on flawless makeup. She had on white heels underneath her dress. She was always the prettier of the two friends so that's why it was hard to believe that her friend was getting married before her.
Callie had a pretty normal background. Her mother died when she was six so it was just her and her father now. She was a freshman in college and really getting into partying for the first time. She always made good grades in high school and was a cheerleader on the cheerleading squad. You could say she was very popular. She was a sweet girl all in all. She could have turned out a lot more messed up since she lost her mother but her father raised her right. He never remarried but that was probably for the best. Callie couldn't imagine anyone ever replacing her mother. Even if that happened years ago sometimes she felt like the loss was still fresh. It wasn't easy losing a parent at a young age. It was something you ever really got over.
