John kicked the shower on and let the water warm as he shaved. Soon the bathroom was filled with steam. He slid the glass door shut and stood under the water, washing away the last bits of shaving cream from his face. He and his daughter had been together for a few years now. Her mother hadn't left, or died, she simply had a job that kept her out of town for long periods of time, leaving her family alone at home.
