BM seems to have (finally) landed itself on a broader list of "naughty" sites, because previously-reliable wifi services I used to use with BM now block it. Most troublingly, the in-flight wifi on American Airlines (not sure if gogo, viasat, or panasonic for this specific flight, but I've used all of the above on prior flights without issue) now seems to be blocking BM. This is definitely new behavior-- I've gotten a lot of writing done on long-haul flights. (My workaround for plane wifi was to set up a SOCKS proxy via a SSH tunnel.)
This is not really an issue the staff can solve, but it might be worth compiling a list of which in-flight networks (or other major wifi providers in "data-limited" circumstances) have adopted this behavior. (And I suppose -- heads-up to other users traveling for the holidays who want to get some writing done in-flight!)
