  • I'm looking for articulate, creative partners who like to build stories and character relationships that have the potential to be memorable.
  • I like literate roleplays. I'm not expecting a massive word count per post, but I do need enough to work with.
  • I write in third person, past tense. I'm not totally averse to my partners writing in first person, but it's not for me, personally.
  • I'm bisexual, but I swing mostly toward men these days, and my RP requests will likely reflect that. It does, however, also mean that I'm comfortable writing F/F scenes or multiple female perspectives, so that can certainly be incorporated into any story.
  • Plot over porn. Most of the time. I like a nice 60/40 or 70/30 balance, but it honestly depends on our chemistry and how the story unfolds naturally.
  • I'm technically a switch, but I'm most comfortable playing a submissive. It's worth noting here though that I will rarely seek to write an immediate "Yes, Master" type. I love playing opposite alphas, but I also love playing brats and independent types. Sometimes, getting to be called Daddy means you have to do Daddy things to deserve it. My characters can absolutely be needy in the sheets, but maybe not so much in the streets.
    • NOTE: We don't need to have any kind of D/s dynamic between our chars at all in order to write together - this is just one of my many ONs.
  • My preference is OCs, but I am sometimes open to playing canons. This will depend on my level of interest in the fandom, and whether or not I feel I have sufficient knowledge to do the character justice.
  • I will probably never want to play anything in a real life/contemporary setting. I prefer science fiction and fantasy over all else.
  • First and foremost, I am a collaborator. It's why I'm RPing on forums instead of writing books alone. I like to work things out and brainstorm OOC and I love it when both players take a vested interest in the development of their characters and the expansion of the worlds where they reside. It's a journey that we take together. I'm on the hunt for a partnership that could work across genres, settings and pairings.
  • To me, a part of collaboration means respecting each other and communicating. If we're not yet a trusted partnership, I would expect you to let me know OOC if you plan on making changes that might impact our shared environment, or the environment of my character. I know this is really basic, but you'd be surprised how often people just plough through you to complete their own vision.
  • Being completely honest, my engagement can vary. I will always commit to 1-2 posts per week, but there are circumstances wherein I could produce more. Sometimes I just get a super boner for an idea and I can write daily, but other times, real life responsibilities can get in the way. I will communicate any absences with my partners, but please note that constantly "poking" me for content is an instant turn off.
  • I make a point of responding to every PM I get as I can appreciate how much effort goes into them. However, if your PM consists of "wanna rp?", contains a copy & paste pitch that you've bulk sent or if you're asking me for something I clearly said I don't want in my RT, then I'm going to ignore it. Reading is fundamental and paying attention is hot.
  • I'm Irish. I frequently write Irish-ly. This also means I'm a GMTer, so bear any time differences in mind.
  • I'll RP in PMs or via Discord. Since I got here all of my RPs have been via PM and so far, that's been working well.
  • All of my preferences are below, and while I'm totally open to being approached with other ideas, my own get priority.

FLY RIGHT?
[STAR WARS] [REBELLION ERA] [ENEMIES TO LOVERS] [ROUGH & READY]

Two pilots, two different sides, engaged in the age-old dance of battle. Caught up in a dogfight in a contested system, the pair break off from their squadrons in pursuit of each other. Their fates become bound together when they crash-land on an inhospitable jungle planet. With their ships all but destroyed and no sign of rescue, can the pair stop trying to kill each other for long enough to find a way to survive?

Needed: Someone to play another pilot! I would like this to be MxF, but apart from that I have no preference as to who plays Alliance/Rebel or Empire. This will be a typical X-wing vs TIE Fighter scenario in battle, but once they crash, it'll hopefully eventually turn into Players vs Environment.
Notes: I'm hoping this will contain plenty of action writing, and hopefully plenty of snark. And maybe confused hate-fucking. Or something. The planet will be mostly uninhabited, but that doesn't mean we can't throw in some pirate or barbaric NPC types that help to move our "romantic" sub-plot along.


STOP, THIEF
[OPEN SETTING] [CAPTIVE/BONDAGE] [POSSIBLE DUBCON] [STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER]​

MC is an infamous thief. Her true identity is shrouded in mystery, but it's suspected that she's responsible for a slew of some of the most high-profile robberies in recent memory. And YC has something that she wants. Wealthy and perhaps even noble, with an army of mercenaries at his disposal, YC is not as gullible as some of MC's past victims. In fact, YC succeeds in becoming the only person in the kingdom to unmask the thief. And now that he has her in his clutches, what will he do with her?

Needed: Someone to play the robbery victim! Or I should say - attempted robbery victim. The details of the individual are completely up to you. MC will be a strong female who will fight back, so it's important that you're comfortable with that.
Notes: I feel like this could easily fit in any setting. It could be sci-fi; taking place on a pleasure barge in space. Or it could be a fantasy epic, with YC being the lord of somewhere filled with magic and sorcery. So long as it isn't contemporary, I am totally open to plotting all of those elements out. I'd also love to expand on their circumstances and backstories; perhaps we can even add more personal connections and/or political intrigue.
Kinks: I am open to discussing a lot in this regard. We can keep it relatively vanilla or we can go with some NC/DC elements. As long as it's spicy, I'm happy!


AVAST
[HISTORICAL OR FANTASY SETTING] [NOBLE FEMALE CHARACTER] [KIDNAPPING / CAPTIVE] [VILLAIN GETS THE GIRL]

Notes: I'm a big fan of Black Sails, POTC, The Ever King and anything with thoroughly amoral and grey pirates. I think a story like this could fit into any fantasy world, though we can make it historical if that's more your jam. Some elements will have to be changed to fit the setting, but I'm totally open.

YC is an infamous pirate with a lifelong vendetta against MC's father, the king of our land. When word reaches YC that the princess is to be aboard the royal barge and transported to another kingdom as part of an epic Landsmeet, he decides to seize upon the opportunity to exact his revenge. His ship easily out-manoeuvres the unwieldy barge and he and his crew despatch the royal guards without much effort. The princess is taken and ransomed. But it's more than gold and riches that the black-hearted pirate captain is after.
Kinks: So realistically there'd be bondage, cruelty and probably a lot of threat of rape/sexual assault. The thing is, I don't want to RP out the latter. In my mind, through development, chemistry and circumstances, I'd actually like the captor and his captive to come together in some way; be that physically or in a more romantic sense. We can touch on a lot of kinks here, but I'd like to forego any group assault as much as possible, and perhaps play on the captain being a possessive or even protective, dominant type. I'm a huge fan of enemies to lovers and villain gets the girl tropes! I think they fit perfectly in a plot like this. If it floats your boat, give me a shout!


BOOM, HEADSHOT?
[POST-APOC / SURVIVAL / SCI-FI] [ALIEN INVASION] [UNUSUAL PAIRING] [ROUGH & READY]

Notes: I have tried (and failed) to get this going properly THREE TIMES now. But I just can't seem to quit it. I've been watching the recent War of the Worlds series and I am so into this particular genre. I've included the original blurb I used for this prompt in the beginning, but know that I am totally open to changing the details. I like to build worlds and collaborate with a partner, not direct them!

---BEGIN TRANSMISSION---​

It began when everyone got the flu. At least, it was something that presented just like the flu, at first. It was pandemic of massive, global proportions, and the world's population halved in the space of one month. The delivery system of the virus was major water supplies; something that hadn't been determined until it was too late. Contagion was spread through direct contact and was fatal within five days. The outbreak quickly grew beyond the control of the World Health Organisation, and as governmental bodies and world leaders fell to the illness, so too did the infrastructure of society. There was widespread panic, riots, looting and violence. With no sight of a cure the population continued to dwindle, until the human race faced an extinction event. Late studies estimated that a mere approximate of 0.214% of human beings were immune. There were those who had the foresight to bunker down and wait out the infection, but even at that, our species was on the way out. We'd been softened up.

That's when they came.

They appeared one morning over the populated cities and areas and fired their electromagnetic pulses. We had no power, no transportation, no way to defend ourselves. Once it was established that we were sitting ducks, they descended.

They can be killed. I'm telling you that we can fight back. Without their advanced tech they're even squishier than us. Aim for the head and steel your heart, because they're not getting our planet without a fight.

Needed: This is wide open. MC will be a biology student. She'll be smart as a whip but not at all your typical hero. Aside from self-defence classes she took as a teenager and an affinity for yoga, she'll start out this experience completely untrained and green. She'll be pretty nerdy, and while very easy on the eyes, may also be somewhat socially inexperienced. She's survived because of a combination of early warning (from a father who happens to be a prominent virologist) and sheer dumb luck. You can play anyone you like, though it might be a good idea for YC to have some sort of weapons training, possibly former military.
More Notes: We can start the story at any point; the beginning of the outbreak, the violent aftermath, the arrival of the mysterious aliens, or afterward when what remains of humanity scrambles to survive. I'd like to focus on story, and specifically, on the tempestuous relationships that form as a result of waking up every day knowing it could be your last. I like to throw very different people together under life and death circumstances and see what happens. I'm open to a lot in that regard (it is the end of the world, after all), but I'd rather avoid any NC elements between our two characters. If you'd like to play with that concept within this environment it can be implied/happen off-screen or even NPCed.

Ideally, my partner in this would be comfortable writing science fiction, survival or horror. Should be accustomed to writing fight scenes (or willing to try) and enjoy a little occasional humour sprinkled into the action. If this tickles your fancy, please PM!
