Hello, all, and welcome to the nonsense that is my Request Thread! My name is Merci, and I am a menace. Your name is Stranger, and you are the unknown. Nice to meetcha.
What I Am: I'm a 25 year old Swamp Monster from the deep south of the US. I've been RPing on and off for about 13 years; I also write solo fiction, poetry, and the occasional seventeen-page manifesto regarding the appropriate amount of sugar to put in your sweet tea. When I'm not doing any of that, I've also been known to draw (poorly) and work on textile crafts like sewing and embroidery (even more poorly.) These details are not pertinent to this thread, but they are pertinent to me, and I'm the one writing here, so shush, will ya?
What I Write: My favorite stories always involve some kind of fantasy or magical element. This can show itself in the faintest traces, or the world itself can be steeped in it. I write for an escape from the mundane; I would assume that you do, too. Princesses and pirates, castles and kings, outer stretches of galaxy and unexplored territory will all be brought to life in strange and unexpected ways. It's up to you and me to fill in the specifics. (I also enjoy writing the relationships between characters. Romance and adventure, domination and lust, secrets and sincerity; all have a part to play in building a satisfying story arc for our word babies. I may love my characters a little too much. This is a character flaw that I have no interest in rectifying.)
How I Write It: As far as my general writing schedule and style, it's pretty simple. I post as often as I can, and I try to match post length. I am currently looking for RPs with posts between 500-1000 words. While I have done longer, I'm looking to write semi-short posts at this time. Posts will range from a few a day to a few a week, depending on the length of them. I never claimed to write quickly; I simply write to the best of my ability. If you'd like anything further than that to gauge my writing style, I'm sorely sorry. I've been out of the game for so long that I'm having to relearn this, myself, so bear with me!
Below are some pairings that are completely self indulgent. They are all open to interpretation and to change; in fact, I welcome this, if inspiration strikes you. Let's collaborate.
I do not currently have any plots ready, but these are being worked on and I will bump once more when I do update them. For now, please have a list of pairings that I'm looking to try.
