Hello everyone! Below is a lot about me as a writer, what I'm looking for, and kinks I like and don't like. I know that scrolling through request threads can get dull, and with most people having low attention spans these days, I'm going to try to keep it concise and with key phrases that will spur your interest. My only limit is I like and expect to write a good story, with a good world, and good characters and let it naturally develop into something fun for both of us. I can get on board with most things, as long as it develops naturally and isn't forced. Unless its forced in the story, then it's fine.
Writing Style
I tend to write multiple paragraphs when I'm really into a story. 3-5 paragraphs with 2-4 well written sentences in each. Sometimes this changes though depending on the partner - if we are in a scene with two characters sitting and having a serious conversation, it might be less because we need to let each other respond. If we're transitioning between scenes or there's a lot of people/action, it could be more. My openers tend to be on the longer side!
I don't expect my partner to necessarily keep up, but I can tell when there's effort and when there's not. We all go through spells where the muse isn't there. I'm always willing to help provide that spark and even give some ideas of what can be written about.
My stories all tend to be slice-of-life, but based in the same "world". The world is very much like ours, except maybe some of the extreme things (including sexual things) are more likely to happen... there may or may not be superpowers or talismanic objects that allow strange things to happen... sex just seems to happen more often in this world. Most importantly though, since all my stories are happening in the same universe (in my head, anyway) I tend to bring in characters from other stories I'm writing, characters from other stories I'm writing will interact with each other, and history of characters will influence how they act in your/our story.
I can write in first person, second person, third person, all depending on the partner and story. Just because its first person doesn't mean its "me" and second person doesn't mean its "you" - its just a writing style that can be used and all are effective.
I'm not afraid of god-modding (in either direction) if the story or situation calls for it. The point is a good story all around. However if this happens, there usually needs to be some good writing behind it - explanations for why characters did what they did, and why it makes sense in the broader story. I've seen it done well, and I've seen it done horribly. If my partners have hard rules they like to follow, I can be flexible.
I can be hit or miss with my response time. Just like anyone else, real life happens to me sometimes, and sometimes I'm honestly just not motivated or into sexy role playing. I'll go through phases just like everyone does. Sometimes I'll disappear for a week (or maybe more)... sometimes I'm on all day long with quick responses. Sometimes I just log on for the once a day response to a couple stories and then move on with life. I don't care if you disappear for stretches, and I don't care if you are responding quickly and then randomly disappear. Things happen and I do it too. People ghost each other when they aren't feeling a story. Not because they're assholes, just because they're lazy. Even that's fine. But what's most frustrating is when I'm writing a really good story with a partner, we're both obviously into it, but then it just dies because one or both of us disappeared for a week or two. It is possible to continue a story, and even if you are "over it" in the moment, then let's just skip ahead and continue!
Writing Formats:
1) GM systems based - YC will be the protagonist and I will play all the other characters around her as she develops her story in the world. YC will have a variety of "traits" that will determine how she acts in various situations and whether she can "make it". This gives us some fun metrics to play around and help create storylines from.
2) Choose-Your-Own-Adventure (CYOA) - Just like the old books, in this form, I will do most of the world building and even control YC... however after each prompt I will leave you options to choose that will determine what happens with YC. I do expect there to be some writing in return - it can be simply about YC's thought process, feelings, emotions, or even little sparks of ideas of where things could go that will be a muse for me as we build the world. I can be very flexible on how much "control" I have over YC - if you'd prefer to write out YC's actions, and even more, in alignment with the choice, we can do that (in fact I prefer it!) and then I'll continue with the world around her and give you other choices to make. Sometimes CYOA can work really well with the systems based approach in 1.
3) Traditional - Of course I can write a good story with a partner who's not afraid to create something exciting with me in the traditional back and forth writing with no other rules. I can play the GM role with characters around your main character, I can play a main male character against your man female character, we can share side-characters or decide who controls who... I can be all males and you all females... I'm very flexible as long as its a good story with the right partner.
