Hello everyone,
I'd like to preface this thread with saying that these ideas are something that these ideas have been bouncing around my mind for a while, so if anyone would like to explore any of these feel free to send a message my way. These are general plotlines that are subject to change, so if you like any idea and want to add your input on how to make it better, I would love to discuss it!
Government secrets
This idea revolves around a physician that was sent into an army base to work with the soldiers stationed there. The introduction is done under the guise of welcoming a new staff member when in reality she is there to run a secret experiment on the soldiers. The nature of her employment is not revealed to the personnel; rather it is kept under wraps by the government officials that sent her there. She is not too thrilled with what she's doing and when she meets someone (YC) her composure slowly unravels until titbits of the truth come out. The dynamic between them is strained, verging on enemies since that particular soldier seems to hate her very being but with time their hate thaws and their relationship evolves into something more. The soldiers at the base treat her like family and that soldier makes it hard for her to think rationally. The lies threaten to drown her and there comes a point where she's willing to risk her life and to keep them all safe…
The blast from the past
She hasn't seen her ex-boyfriend (YC) since they broke up during their college days and she hoped she never would again. He broke her heart with his lies and it took her years to heal from that particular heartbreak. The little get-together of their old college friends was the last place she thought to see him – normally he'd never go to these kinds of events but this time he was there in person. What she doesn't know is that the big fight that happened was a misunderstanding. She doesn't know the whole story and neither does he. One of their mutual friends mentions the incident jokingly, thinking they've gotten over it a long time ago but both of them scoff denying that recollection of events. Still stubborn they don't talk about it during the event but that keeps bugging her until she finally caves and sends him the first message that leads her to discover that things might not be what they seem.
Timelines
She's a centuries old witch with the power to see into the future. The power is so consuming that sometimes it's very difficult to keep in touch with reality. But what she didn't see coming was him (YC) a supernatural being hell-bent on convincing her to be his. She never entertained such a prospect, was never interested in it so she eluded his grasp any and all ways she knew how. One day, a particularly bad episode happened – she was barely coherent, lost between timelines with no way of coming back when he took her in his arms to try and calm her down and suddenly, all the visions stopped and she relaxed into him. Will this change her mind or will she continue running from him?
I spy…
He is one of the most notorious crime bosses in the city and she is a girl next door. They met in the most ordinary of ways and she had no idea whom she was speaking to so, naturally, when he asked her on a date she said yes. The more time they spent together, the more he coaxed her into the darkness of his world, the more apprehension she felt. When she saw him kill a man for the first time she broke down and ran from him but he didn't stop until he finally found her and made her his. Their story seemed like the perfect happy ending until one night the police burst into his office and dragged him out. When they slammed him against the car he recognized one of the special agents – it was her.
I'll probably add more at some point, but this is all for now folks.
