Hi there, thanks for checking out my request thread. It's been prettified, but still looks somewhat janky.
First and foremost, I'm looking to RP opposite the canon character Severus Snape (though not necessarily Potterverse). I do, and have, RPed with many other characters, in many other scenarios and genres, but this is my Snape thread, and unless you are interested in taking on that role then there's not much point in reading beyond here.
However, you can check out my other thread.
I write younger, heterosexual, female characters, who generally have submissive tendencies (not always), but are not pushovers. Submissive doesn't mean doormat, and I enjoy pushing against dominants for the fun of it, as well it allows for potential punishments. I like to write opposite older, intelligent, dominant male characters who can temper their dominance with affection, and who have a personality other than "I am very dominant".
My style is mixed; longer paragraphs when being descriptive, and shorter posts when dialogue is being shot back and forth. I don't see the point in dragging out a post to fit some arbitrary word count if two characters are simply conversing. Still, I love description to establish place and mood, and enjoy descriptive sex scenes- knowing how a character is feeling and what they are thinking.
I write in the third person and prefer my partners to do the same. I have no preferences about the gender and orientation of any potential writing partner, but I do require that Snape to be written as cisgender heterosexual male. I can and do write several secondary characters within a roleplay, but I am not interested in creating harems.
I like a good mixture of story and sex, and have a preference for long term, drawn out stories with much sexual tension, rather than a quickie. Angst, anticipation and tension are catnip to me.
I have a preference for writing on forums, it allows other potential partners to see if they like my writing style, but I will do a PM thread. I don't use Discord, I find it confusing.
Characterisation
This just has to be mentioned as I've RPed with partners in the past who have been willing to play Snape, but then don't actually play him. What I mean by that is the characterisation is just... weird. For me, it's so important that he doesn't start wearing Bermuda shorts or sound like he's channelling Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted. It breaks the immersion and spoils the mood. Also, I'm less interested in the Very Domly Dominant Dom kinds of portrayals, especially when being dominant seems to be conflated with being a bit of a dickhead. Some measure of vulnerability is an attractive trait, he is after all mourning someone he loved, which makes winning him over very appealing. Bullish dick-swinging gets tired very quickly.
Movie Snape > Book Snape
Rickman (RIP) was just gorgeous in the role. The right look, voice and mannerisms. Tight control on the character's emotions (he doesn't have to shout or swear), intense, handsome, sardonic, dark; just the perfect amalgamation of manhood. Book Snape is written to be physically unappealing, and rather more cruel. While I don't mind a touch of the sadistic, I prefer the film version.
No Potterverse?
So as much as I like Rowling's setting, it's the character I'm hung up on, not the school scenes. I'm equally happy to take Snape out of Hogwarts and pop him down in various other genres. Snape as a member of the Red Wizards of Thay? Sure, why not? Non-magical Snape as a spy for the Allied forces in the 1940s? Sounds intriguing. Renaissance Vampire Snape? Ohmygodyes!
Er, I guess so?
Look, I'm ok with some of the canon characters, and I rather like Tonks, but I just don't gel with Hermione as a character all that well. She irritates me. Also, there's something about Emma Watson's appearance and acting I really don't like. I know I can write book Hermione rather than movie Hermione, but it's difficult to get her "I've just been hit with a brick" expression out of my mind. No offense if you find Emma Watson very attractive, she's just very much not my type.
I realise however she's a popular character and I can swallow my vomit long enough to RP as her if it's a particular wish-fulfilment.
Ok, that's what I'm looking for, here's what I'm offering.
A reasonably literate, descriptive writer, who can post most days, and is communicative if unable to.
A good story, with a nice amount of the sexy stuff.
A variety of characters to write opposite, some canon (ok, even bloody Hermione) and some original.
A bit of a laugh, which really is all this should be anyway.
If you've made it this far, thanks! Reward yourself with a cookie for your endurance.
Plots will follow, but if you have some ideas around developing an idea I'd be interested in hearing from you.

About Me
I'm a fairly literate RPer, female, in the UK (so on GMT or GMT+1 depending on the time of year). I'm in my early 40s, and have been RPing and writing on and off for about 25 years or so.I write younger, heterosexual, female characters, who generally have submissive tendencies (not always), but are not pushovers. Submissive doesn't mean doormat, and I enjoy pushing against dominants for the fun of it, as well it allows for potential punishments. The Sex Stuff
If you are interested in writing with me then please read through the following kinks and limits. Please note that if something isn't listed in the Limits section, I reserve the right to say no, as it may not have occurred to me to include it.Kinks
- Storytelling: I like a plot. A reason for characters to come together, be it friends or foes. While I'm not against instant attraction between two characters, I don't see why they have to jump into bed three posts into the story. Let them stew a while, get to know one another better, have some adventures together or maybe fight each other, and don't let it end with the sex. I'm not saying that stories can go on forever indefinitely, but they can be more drawn out than the literary equivalent of a one night stand.
- Older male/younger female: I prefer playing with Snape with him in his 30s and upwards to his mid 50s, with my characters being anywhere between 17/18 and about 30, if he's at the upper end of the age dynamic. Not that I won't turn down a Marauders Era story, it's just my preference.
- Unwilling arousal: (This might now be called dubious consent? I'm not really sure of the terms). Having my character getting into a fight with a more powerful, or just lucky, character and losing. Being pinned against a wall or to the floor, unable to react except in words or helpless struggles. This is purely a physical thing. Being held or compelled by magic is not the same (actually that's a turn off). My mind says no but my body says yes! After you've held me down, kiss me, touch me, make me want you, even though I don't want to want you.
- Incest: Within the context of this very specific request I would be willing to write as Snape's daughter, but not without a considerable level of angst and forbidden desires. This would not be a happy-go-lucky kind of scenario.
- Erotica: I love erotic writing rather than pornographic writing. This means I like well thought out characterisation, plot development, sexiness, romance, and steamy action that doesn't descend into the moves commonly seen in a porno movie.
Limits
- Innocent characters: Playing as or playing with, I'm not interested in really naïve characters. I can play as a virgin no problem, but not a green as grass virgin and certainly not a dumb overly trusting Disney Princess type.
- Body modification: Piercings and tattoos are ok, removal of body parts are not.
- Choking/Gagging: No, nope, noooo. (Pedantry Moment: If you have your have your hands around someone's neck, it's called strangulation. Choking is what you do on food. The only way to choke your partner is if they were eating you and a piece of your gristle got caught in their windpipe.)
- Slice of Life: I live in the real world, I don't want to play in it.
- Character control: When a character is hypnotised or otherwise compelled to obey every whim of their mental dominant, there's no interesting interaction for me. Just repeating the commands with an occasional 'Yes Master' thrown in is dull.
- Godmode: To clarify I define godmoding as any act in which another writer determines my character's actions, thoughts, feelings or responses. This is most common in combatant scenes but also extends to sexual play and general interaction. Even if I'm engaging in a battle in which it has been decided that I'll lose, I want to put up a good fight, not be moded at every turn, nor immediately overpowered and subjugated. Let's have a tussle please. Also, don't post for me. I can decide how my character is thinking, feeling or what she is doing without your intervention. Things like 'He unbuttons her dress and carries her to the bed' is fine if the scene is heading in that direction.
- Humiliating language: 'Hey baby, wanna fuck?' I hate it. Also the use of humiliating dirty talk during scenes is a turn off. Don't call my character a 'dirty cock-loving whore' or similar. Dirty language ('fuck me') is fine, humiliating language ('fuck me you slutty bitch') isn't.
- Certain fetishes: Feet, pregnancy, sloppy stuff, bathroom, just not into it at all.
- Non-humanoid partners: Animals, tentacle beasts, aliens, weirdy things. Just no.
- Sexual gore/vore/all that stuff: A bit of blood in the context of vampirism, or getting cut in a fight, is fine. But nothing heavier than that.

That Question
Bringing this up because I get asked this nine times out of ten "Will you play Hermione?"Er, I guess so?
