SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Amaya picked Yukimura up off the ground with Sasuke’s help, Yukimura hanging limply in their arms. He reeked of blood, both his own and others, eyes rolling to look around sluggishly.

Sasuke walked out with Amaya, Yukimura on his shoulder, and Akihime followed them closely with Yukimura's arm held to her chest.
"Damn, you lost a lot of weight, dana.." Sasuke muttered.

Yukimura let out a grunt, eyes slowly gaining a sort of clarity. Amaya had to keep a tight grip on Yukimura’s waist, finding Sasuke’s words rung true.
“Date’s got enough supply to get his weight back up.”

“Please?” Amaya looked to Akihime as she helped maneuver Yukimura into the back.
“I can treat him while we drive.” She climbed into the back beside Yukimura, pulling the first aid kit from under the seat and popping it open.
Yukimura stared up at the ceiling of the van, blinking slowly, watery voices finally reaching his ears, but the words were still incomprehensible.

Sasuke climbed in after Amaya and pulled the door shut before sitting across from her, "How can I help?" He asked. Akihime moved to the driver's seat and buckled in before driving carefully.

Amaya pulled the rubbing alcohol from the kit, passing it to Sasuke before pulling on latex gloves.
“Can you clean the arm? I’ll clean his shoulder so we can see the damage..” She instructed, offering a pair of gloves to him as well before they got started.

Sasuke nodded and pulled on the gloves before he started to carefully clean the arm. Akihime tried to look at them through the mirror every now and again.

The cut that took Yukimura’s arm off wasn’t clean, but it wasn’t a complete mess. It would take some work, but reattaching his arm would be easy once they arrived at a real doctor.
After cleaning the wound she packed it and wrapped gauze around the injury to keep pressure on the wound.
“Don’t worry, Akihime, he’s conscious and his arm can be reattached.” She tried to encourage her, despite the situation. She didn’t have much to work with in the van, wishing she could push at least fluids.

Akihime nodded, smiling softly.
"I have full faith that everything will be alright, especially once we get him home."
"Aki," Sasuke looked up at her, "Don't you dare speak to Date by yourself. We're just as guilty as you are for being there."
"Ah," Akihime glanced at him, "you caught that, did you?"

“S’got yubitsume written all over it..” Amaya also felt great unease at Masamune’s icy words, knowing he was the kind of man to get retribution for what he thought he was owed.
“You shouldn’t take the punishment alone since you didn’t commit the offense alone.”

"I couldn't ask either of you to endure this with me." She said. Sasuke scowled softly.
"You can't just assume people aren't willing to do things for you. We're your friends, we care about you." He told her.
"I wouldn't expect something like that from you, Sasuke." Akihime teased. He glanced at Amaya before scratching his cheek.
"I had a really smart friend tell me something similar once.."

Amaya felt her face flush, clearing her throat and offering a grin.
“If we don’t stick together, who’s going to watch out for one another?” She said.
“Going at things alone rarely produces good results.. Rely on us a little more, ne?” She looked to Akihime.

“Good thing you don’t have to find out.”
Amaya was already going over what supplies she would need once they got back to a full clinic- at least she could allow Yukimura’s body to do most of the heavy lifting when it came to reattachment. She would have to align the everything and suture it into place, but once he could eat again, he would regain full use of his arm.

Akihime pulled the van into the garage and shut off the engine, takig a breath before climbing out. Sasuke opened the door and stepped out first to get proper footing to help Amaya haul Yukimura. He passed the arm to Akihime, who held it carefully as she watched.

Amaya held Yukimura under his arm remaining arm, supporting him against her and nodding to Sasuke before they moved him.
“God he’s heavy.” She grunted, his dead weight about as difficult to maneuver as a corpse. Yukimura’s eyes moved to Akihime as he was carried past her, recognizing the red hair even with his blurry vision.

Akihime felt a jolt run through her when he looked at her, and she moved to keep close.
"Sounds like someone needs to go to the gym~" Sasuke teased, "He's not even that heavy~"

“No, you’re just a freak of nature.” She responded, giving him a mildly indignant look, shaking her head like it was some kind of shame, pity in her eyes.

"I'm so glad to hear your eyes work so well. Next you'll tell me that the sun is hot and ice is cold~" He replied. Akihime laughed softly.
"If you two keep it up, I'll think you two hate each other." She said. Sasuke glanced back at her.
"Who said we liked each other?" He asked flatly.
"Sasuke, don't joke like that, I mean it!!" Akihime panicked.

Amaya looked over her shoulder to Akihime, her expression equally flat.
“I’m just waiting for my opportunity to strike.” She said simply, like it was no big deal.

"Amaya, not you too!!" Akihime almost wailed.
"Aki, get the door, would ya?" Sasuke asked. She perked and nodded, moving quickly and getting the door open for them, walking ahead to get the door to the doctor.

Amaya let out a soft laugh, unable to hold out any longer.
“Sorry, Akihime. Sometimes Sasuke forgets he can carry ninety kilograms vertically.” She joked.

“Sorry, sorry, we’ll behave.” They finally reached the clinic, getting Yukimura into a clean bed, who let out a weak groan of relief. When was the last time he got to lay on a real mattress? His back almost ached with relief, finding it hard to keep his eyes open.
