SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Akihime held out her hand, wanting to bum off Amaya's cigarette. Working for Masamune and being around his men caused her to pick up the nasty habit, though she had been doing her best to quit. The stress of Yukimura's absence wasn't helping her much.
"Has Sasuke found anything?" She asked. Sasuke was updated Amaya in an old secret code; couldn't take any chances with the track record they had. He was close to a pretty solid lead and would let her know when he was on his way back.

She passed her the cigarette off to Akihime.
“Sasuke is following a lead, he says he’ll catch us up when he’s back.”
It was a dangerous game they were all playing, but the more time passed, the more their worries grew.

Akihime took a long drag and blew the smoke to the side, flicking the ash before passing it back.
"That's good...if anyone can find anything, it's Sasuke.."

She nodded in agreement, taking back the cigarette.
“He’s out there, and we’re going to get him back, Akihime-san.” She said softly.

Amaya mulled over her point as she took a drag.
“… Senpai?” She offered with a half shrug.

Amaya looked abashed, rubbing the side of her neck.
“Ah.. Akihime is fine..” She relented, not wanting anyone catching wind of her precious employment status with the CCG.
“I’ll head inside, get started on the dishes behind the counter. If I get any updates, you’ll be the first to know.” She promised as she snuffed out the cigarette on the bottom of her shoe.

Akihime smiled softly, finding it endearing how flustered Amaya became, "Thank you, Amaya, I really appreciate it."
"Appreciate what?" Sasuke's robotic voice came out of his mask, his emoted expression curious. Akihime stood up right away, flushing gentiy.
"Nothing! You're back, what-" she stopped and dropped her voice, "what did you find?"
"We can hash that out later, let me report in." Sasuke replied, touching Amaya's arm affectionately as he passed her to get inside.

She leaned into his touch briefly, glad he had finally returned, moving closer so their voices wouldn’t travel. “Well?”
She had thought up a way to track Date’s movements using a gps on his car, but it meant accessing the garage- an area she had no reason to be in.

Sasuke removed his mask, watching it turn off once it was removed.
"I tracked dana's scent all the way to the border of the Ward," he whispered as he walked with her, "it was as far as I could go this time around without seeming suspicious. Can't afford to be gone too long, you know? The next time I head out, I'm going to see where around the border it goes."

“He might notice how frequent you’re gone, be careful he doesn’t put a tail on you.” So he had left the ward completely? She had expected him to be relatively nearby, as Masamune owned a fair amount of real estate nearby.
“Date owns dozens of properties, commercial and residential. We can cross out anything within the ward then.”

"I just want to check around before we call the Ward a bust. I should be able to manage before anyone catches on." He told her quietly before kissing her temple, "I gotta go tell him mission success, I'll be back."

Amaya nodded and watched him go before looking back to Akihime, knowing that it wasn’t any kind of news that could actually put Akihime at ease.

She tried to seem hopeful, offering a weak smile when Amaya looked back.
"That's good, though...he shouldn't be far then..." She said, but she seemed to just be telling herself that.

“Once we get him back, we’ll find a way to stick it to Date to thank him.” She tried to lift her spirits.
“Once our shift is over I’ll buy you a drink.”

Amaya held up her hand, a serious expression on her face.
“I swear to take this information to my grave.” She declared, like pledging an oath of fealty.

She giggled soft, "Arigatou..."
When Akihime finished her chores, she was making her way to the back house when she passed by the lounge. She stopped, hearing Megohime inside, and thought for a moment before turning to knock gently.
"Megohime...?" She called, "May I come in...?"

There was a brief pause from within before she got her response.
“Come in.”
She didn’t sound angry, or even annoyed- a true rarity for the prickly-tempered woman.

Oh, thank goodness. She pushed the door open and stepped in, sliding it closed and bowing gently. She knew better than to not show Megohime the respect she earned as a yakuza mistress.
"Thank you for seeing me so suddenly," she said humbly, "I was wondering if I could make a request?"

Megohime not only acted the part of Yakuza mistress, she looked it. Dressed in head-to-toe black, even her hands were covered with black gloves.
Motioning for Akihime to sit in the chair across from her, she blew cigarette smoke into the air, crossing one leg over the other.
“Request?”

Akihime nodded, moving to sit as instructed.
"Yes. It's about Yukimura." She replied, "As I'm sure you know, he's been gone for a while, and Boss Masamune won't tell us where he is or if he'll even come home. I was hoping most humbly if you could talk to the Boss about it? Yukimura and I, uh..." She paused, playing with her ring, "well, we plan to marry...and I can't really do that without him.."

Megohime listened to Akihime patiently while taking a slow, quiet drag of her cigarette.
This wasn’t something she could talk to Masamune about at all. She groaned internally.
She leaned forward to pull the ashtray on the table closer to herself, tapping some ash from her cigarette into it before placing the cigarette between her lips again.
“Boss Masamune doesn’t entertain questions such as those.” She answered evenly, leaning down so she could retrieve something from the floor. Her purse; a black clutch that snapped open easily, allowing her to dig through the bag until she found what she was looking for.
“You’ll have better luck getting the answers you want here.” Megohime placed a business card on the table, pushing it toward Akihime with her fingertips.
It was a black card with only the Date family insignia on the front, embossed in gold, and an address on the back.
“Ah, and hold onto that- it’s your ticket in.” She instructed.

Akihime blinked before taking it, examining it before looking up at Megohime.
"I don't know what to say..." She muttered before bowing deeply in her seat, "Thank you so much, Anesan."
