Darkness…
It was the only thing Allyra had known for almost two hundred years. Once upon a time she had been the most powerful woman in the land - and the most beautiful too. Not that it mattered anymore. She couldn’t even escape this stupid prison that her apprentice had bound her to. And what a prison is was. A lamp that chained her to a pocket dimension she couldn’t escape, unless someone from the outside were to set her free.
Of course, she knew exactly where she was being held. She created the dungeon herself, and knew all of its secrets. She knew about the secret back-entrance through the waterfall, and knew how to avoid all the low-level monsters she had placed here. They would have been more powerful, but at the time of her imprisonment, there was nothing to protect.
Which made it the perfect hiding place.
No one knew where she was, and no one cared. It was out of the way, far from any civilization, and didn’t actually threaten anyone.
But two hundred years of captivity didn’t fill her magic - or her senses. Even within the lamp she could tell when someone wandered in. “YES!” She thought to herself. She would finally be free of this ridiculous prison… as long as the intruder found the lamp where she was being held.
