Question How do views for a thread work?

Is it like
A. Youtube where one view from one account counts again after 24 hours?
B. One view per account at all?
C. Just how many views a thread got. Same account could take a look as many times as they wanted and the counter would still go up.

If it's one of these, just answer using the letter for the sake of convenience. If it isn't, a more detailed explanation would be highly appreciated. I apologize if this was answered somewhere in the FAQ section, but I took a look and did not see it anywhere.

Xenforo/VB use once per account (if logged in) or session (if not, expires after a half hour or so). XF also caches views so they will only actually update every ten minutes or so.

SMF (Elliquiy) uses once per session (~half hour).

phpBB and MyBB (previous software) track every view.
