It was another cold Winter day and Ulrik was getting bundled up to go out into the cold. It was always cold where he lived... And every Winter it snowed heavily. His family was lucky enough to have a pond in their backyard that froze nicely every winter... Perfect for ice skating. Of course... The nineteen year old boy had no idea how to ice skate. His sister, on the other hand, loved ice skating and she'd always try to get him into it but he never could go more than a few seconds before falling. He wasn't nearly as graceful as she was.
He and his sister had an interesting relationship... They always got along and rarely fought, unlike normal siblings. Even as small children they played well together. Of course, Ulrik could have a short fuse at times, especially when she tried to get him to ice skate, but after losing his temper he would always apologize and make up with his sister shortly afterwards. He couldn't stay mad at her... He loved her. Maybe a little too much.
The thin, dark haired boy finished dressing himself for the cold and stepped out into the crisp air, taking in a deep breath of the freezing air. "Ah..." He sighed, exhaling the breath of fresh air. He had been busy with school all week, and this was the first time he had actually gotten to take a break and step outside.
