"Your majesty? Prince Seth, where have you run off to?"
A handmaiden searched desperately through the castle courtyard, looking for the prince. "He's always missing when it's important." She huffed and went into the royal garden.
A young man laid asleep at the base of a grand oak tree in full bloom. He didn't stir, and the only sound he made was the slow, heavy breathing of his sub conscious form. His hair was a medium length, a spiky texture decorating his neatly combed and straightened darkish gray hair. two ring-like gold earrings hung from each of his earlobes, each bearing an inscription in an almost forgotten language. He body was slim, a light muscle tone adding a healthy mass to his figure. A blue tunic adorned his chest with a brown leather sash and belt holding it to his body. A mantle hung behind him, strings and round form-fitting pauldrons holding it to his shoulder and back. Brown pants with knee pauldrons covered his lower frame, along with tall brown adventurous looking leather boots. White tights covered his arms since the sleeves were short, and tight, fingerless leather gloves covered his hands. A sword and shield laid against each other upright against the tree very close to his position.
"Prince Seth, wake up. Come on you sleepy head, you are going to be late."
The man groaned softly and then yawn, stretching his arms out before rising to his feet and stretching the rest of his body out, his eyes opening to reveal a dark blue color in them. "Oh, good morning Nina. I was having such a wonderful nap." The handmaiden sighed and took Seth's hand, who quickly picked up his sword and shield before she dragged him too far away from them. "His majesty the King has been looking for you all morning. Honestly, how could you sleep in on a day like this?" Seth only smiled childishly as the Handmaiden escorted him into the castle. "And what day is this, if I might ask?" Another sigh was heard from her. "Are you still half asleep? Today is the day you are to to be betrothed to a princess. Your birthday is only a few days away."
