i'm the type of person who just loves to yap about characters, as well as draw, create music playlists, memes, and pinterest boards, so i'm always on the lookout for someone who likes that too. it's not a requirement, but nothing helps aid the muse better than some creative yapping, i think! i very much take inspiration from a myriad of things in my day-to-day life; films, games, tv shows, or music, and i try my best to reflect that upon my drabbles!

⋆ as long as i have a few references of our characters appearances, written or visual, i'm a happy camper. i default to descriptions until i can find a faceclaim that fits, whether that is a real actor or model, or art (my own or otherwise). i'm fairly flexible with this depending on your preference. i'm also comfortable with AI images long as you state it as such. i don't use it, but i won't chastise you if you do.
⋆ i try not to double as i like to put my entire focus on our two main characters to not overwhelm myself, but the void calls to me sometimes (love triangles, poly romances, etc.) so i do love writing multiple characters when given the chance if it makes sense for the story; i don't double for the sake of pairing swapping. an infinite number of npcs of any gender are welcome and needed!

The ceiling fan cut lazy arcs through cigarette haze, casting strobing shadows across Trip's sweat-slicked torso. Three in the morning and the trailer vibrated with distant thunder, the metal walls amplifying each rumble like they were trapped inside a tin drum. Trip's comedown had settled into that familiar hollow ache, nerves still firing randomly beneath his skin, phantom electricity searching for an outlet, sweaty, and slow, and sluggish.
A thin layer of residue rimmed his flared nostrils, ghostly white against flushed skin. The mirror on the nightstand reflected fragmented lamplight, jutting across his face in yellowed slashes when he shifted against the damp sheets. His body remembered pleasure before his mind did, muscles still loose from sex, skin bearing the red crescents of Mutt's fingernails along his hips. Veni, vidi, vici.
Mutt watched him from inches away, eyes half-lidded but alert, cataloging each twitch and tremor into one of the many guidebooks into knowing his best friend, his lover. He'd seen every version of the man; high and soaring, crashing and desperate, lucid and raw, but this in-between state held its own strange intimacy. A Trip stripped of pretenses, of the manic energy that propelled him through their waking hours. A Trip only Mutt got to see.
"Fuckin' thirsty..." Trip muttered, tongue darting out to wet chapped lips, leaving them glistening momentarily before the humidity leached the moisture away.
Without a word, Mutt reached for the sweating glass on the nightstand, condensation slicking his fingers as he brought it to Trip's mouth. Trip drank greedily, water spilling from the corners of his lips, trailing rivulets down his neck. Mutt's eyes followed the droplets' path, watching them disappear into the hollow of Trip's collarbone.
When Trip finished, Mutt set the glass aside, then leaned forward, tongue seeking out the salt-sweet skin where the water had pooled. The taste of Trip beneath the chemical residue was familiar; copper pennies and cheap soap, cigarettes and something uniquely him that Mutt could never name but would recognize blindfolded.
Trip's hand came up, fingers tangling in Mutt's sticky hair, grip alternating between painfully tight and barely-there as his body struggled to regulate sensation. His head tipped back, offering his throat with the unconscious trust of someone who knew precisely how far they could push before breaking.
"C'mere..." Trip slurred, before tugging Mutt upward until they were face to face, breath mingling in the narrow space between them. His pupils were still dilated, black nearly swallowing the iris, giving him that otherworldly stare that seemed to see through skin to whatever lay beneath.
When Trip kissed him, it was messy and uncoordinated, teeth clacking together before finding rhythm. He tasted of desperation, of want so raw it bordered on violence. Mutt met the chaos with steadiness for once, one hand cupping Trip's jaw, thumb pressing against the pulse point where blood raced too fast beneath paper-thin skin. Lightning flashed, transforming the trailer into stark monochrome for a heartbeat. In that flash, they were creatures of contrast, Mutt's dark tattoos against Trip's milky pallor, their bodies puzzle pieces never meant to fit together but somehow locking into place regardless.
Trip bit down on Mutt's lower lip, hard enough to draw blood, the metallic taste blooming between them. His hands wandered with frenetic energy, fingers pressing too hard one moment, barely ghosting over skin the next, unable to calibrate the touch through the haze of his comedown. His hips jutted forward with wanton need.
"Easy," Mutt murmured against Trip's mouth, the rare word falling like a stone into still water. His hands found Trip's, interlacing their fingers and pressing them into the mattress, a gentle restraint that grounded them both.
Trip exhaled shakily, forehead coming to rest against Mutt's shoulder. His body trembled, caught between arousal and exhaustion, chemical crash and human need. Mutt released one of Trip's hands to trace the knobs of his spine, counting vertebrae like rosary beads, a meditation on the fragility beneath his fingertips.
Outside, rain began hammering against the trailer roof, drowning out the world beyond their tangle of limbs. Trip's mouth found the place where Mutt's neck met shoulder, tongue tracing the inked lines that disappeared beneath his collarbone. He sucked a mark there, claiming territory already long surrendered.
"Only you," Trip mumbled against slick skin, the words barely audible above the storm, "only fuckin' time I feel real..."
Mutt didn't answer with words—words were Trip's domain, spilling from him in manic torrents when high, in rare, brutal honesty when crashing. Instead, he responded with touch, fingers mapping the geography of Trip's body with the precision of someone who had memorized every ridge and valley.
Trip raised his head, all bleach-blond and dark roots until their lips met again, softer now, the desperate edge blunted by exhaustion. Trip tasted of sweat and sweetness, of poison and antidote existing in the same kiss, and Mutt drank him in, this broken beautiful thing that somehow belonged to him in a world where they owned nothing else.

The sting on his eye pulsed in tandem, hot and raw, a shiner that would likely bloom purple by morning. Vincent didn't have the willpower to move from his newfound spot, glued to one of the many locked doors layering the upstairs hallway, feeling the vibration of his phone in his back pocket. The hallway stretched on either side of him, a tunnel of dark wood and shadow, identical doors concealing identical sins while a drawn-out bassline punctuated the distant sounds of sex behind them; breathy sighs and rhythmic thrumming that reminded him of what he should be doing right now, what everyone else at this party managed without issue.
He knew it probably was Ben hitting him up, giving him another update as if he wasn't delving between fishnet thighs already, and a part of him wanted to seek his friend out, to find whatever guest room he was holed up in to laugh all of this off and call it a night, to get so drunk that this moment would dissolve into nothing but a hazy memory. Sweat beaded along his hairline despite the chill, the combination of alcohol and embarrassment heating him from within as his fingertips traced the tender outline of his eye socket, wincing at the contact. The punch had been sudden, the crack of it echoing in the small hallway they'd stumbled into, her voice low and dangerous as she stormed off: "You're a real fuckin' asshole!"
His phone buzzed again. Vincent ignored it, letting his head fall back against the wall with a dull thud. The texture of the wallpaper was rough against his back, some cheap floral pattern that looked like it belonged in a grandmother's house, not this college party mansion with its discount chandeliers and sticky floors. The alcohol in his system had reached that perfect level, enough to blur the edges but not enough to completely disconnect him from his body. From the truth that was becoming harder and harder to ignore with each passing second.
That he'd been staring at her lips and seeing Ben's. That he'd been running his hands through her dark hair and wishing it was shorter, coarser. That when she'd pressed against him in that wall, it wasn't her body he was thinking about.
The corridor seemed to expand and contract with each breath, the wallpaper rippling slightly as if the house itself were alive and breathing. Vincent steadied himself, palm flat against the wall, feeling the vibration of the music through the plaster. His mouth was dry, tongue thick and useless. He swallowed hard, tasting the lingering bitterness of cheap tequila shots and cheaper beer. A framed photo hung crooked nearby, strangers smiling in a moment Vincent would never know, college kids from years past caught in amber, their faces bleached almost white in the flash. He wondered how many secrets these walls had absorbed over the years, how many drunken confessions like the one burning in his throat had been uttered in these same hallways. How many others had stood where he stood now, torn between running away and finally facing inklings and what-ifs.
One of the doors behind him opened, wood creaking against hinges, releasing a wave of warmer air that carried the scent of weed and cologne. Ben materialized in the opening, his silhouette backlit from the bedside lamp within, tall and solid and achingly familiar. He stood there for a moment, filling the doorframe, hair mussed and t-shirt wrinkled. His eyes narrowed as they landed on Vincent, concern immediately replacing whatever else had been there.
"Dude. Where the fuck have you-" Ben's words cut short as he noticed Vincent's face. Without a word, he grabbed Vincent by the elbow and pulled him inside, his grip firm but not rough, the calluses on his palm catching against the fabric of Vincent's shirt. The door shut behind them with a soft click, shutting out the hallway and its parade of drunken strangers.
The music became a distant heartbeat now, muffled through layers of drywall and insulation. The room was cast in the golden glow of a single bedside lamp, shadows pooling in the corners like spilled ink.
"Which chick gave you that shiner?" Ben's voice cut through the silence, familiar and grounding. He stepped closer, squinting slightly in the dim light, his brow furrowed in the way it always did when he was genuinely concerned. A strand of dark hair fell across his forehead, and Vincent fought the sudden, inexplicable urge to brush it away.
Vincent didn't look at him at first, shying away until Ben's hand caught his chin, tilting his face toward the light. The sudden contact pooled low in his stomach. Ben's fingers were cool against his heated skin, the contrast making him acutely aware of every point of contact between them.
"Is it bad?" Vincent asked, turning his head to display the evidence, eyelid swollen, a lick of blood on his cheekbone. The skin there felt tight, hot to the touch, prickling with the phantom impression of her fist. He could still feel each individual finger, the sting of rings against bone. His pride hurt worse than his face, a dull throb of embarrassment that pulsed with each heartbeat.
Ben leaned in, eyes narrowed as he inspected the damage. A faint crease appeared between his eyebrows, the same one that showed up when he was concentrating on a difficult lyric or trying to beat Vincent's high score. His breath smelled faintly of whiskey and cigarettes, warm against Vincent's skin.
"Looks like they got you good," Ben said finally, his voice low. His thumb brushed over the eyelid, surprisingly gentle for hands that Vincent had watched break a man's nose last summer. Those same hands that could throw a perfect spiral across the field, that could strum a guitar with unexpected grace, were now touching Vincent's face with a delicacy that made his chest tight.
"Fuck, dude. What did you do?"
Vincent's mouth opened, then closed. His thoughts were a tangled mess, impossible to unravel into anything coherent. The room tilted slightly as the alcohol hit him in a fresh wave, making the shadows on the wall dance and sway. Through the thin walls, he could hear someone laughing too loudly down the hall, the sound high and artificial. How to explain that he'd been about to sleep with a girl and called her by the wrong name? No, that wasn't right. He hadn't called her anything. He'd just—
"I told her she looked like you, man." The words fell out, heavy and unstoppable, He watched the ripples of confusion cross Ben's face. "I said she had your eyes, your fucking smile." His voice roughened at the edges, words slurring together, consonants like cotton in his cheeks. "I didn't mean to—we were about to hook up and she just—she just looked at me and—"
His voice trailed off as Ben's thumb continued to trace the outline, a soothing back-and-forth motion just along his socket that made Vincent's skin prickle with goosebumps. His eyes drifted shut, a low sound escaping from his chest. Ben had never touched him like this before, with this careful attention, this deliberate pressure. They'd shared drunken hugs, thrown arms around shoulders, wrestled like idiots on countless occasions, but this was different. This was tender in a way that made Vincent's throat tight, made something behind his ribcage ache.
Vincent's eyebrows knitted together as he tried to make sense of what was happening. It was just the alcohol, he told himself. Just the transient loneliness of being rejected for once in his life. Nothing more. The same excuse he'd been using for years whenever his gaze lingered too long on Ben's mouth when he talked, whenever he felt that irrational surge of jealousy hearing about Ben's hookups, whenever he found himself making excuses to stay the night at Ben's apartment rather than going home alone.
But when he opened his eyes and saw the way Ben was looking at him, all those carefully constructed excuses crumbled. The blue glow from the muted TV painted Ben's features in stark contrast, catching on the angles of his high cheekbones, the curve of his lower lip, the shadow of stubble along his jaw. His eyes looked almost black in this light, pupils wide, focused entirely on Vincent with an intensity that made his mouth go dry. The bass from downstairs vibrated through the floor, through Vincent's bones, but all he could hear was the blood rushing in his ears, the sound of his own ragged breathing.
A single thought emerged from the haze of intoxication: his friend was really fucking pretty.
Not in the conventional way, not like the girls Vincent usually took home; all soft curves and sweet perfume. Ben was all angles and hard lines, rough edges and calloused hands. There was nothing delicate about him, nothing traditionally beautiful. And yet Vincent couldn't look away, couldn't deny the pull he felt, like gravity or magnetism or some other force he'd slept through in physics class.
He noticed details he'd seen a thousand times but never truly registered; the small scar cutting through Ben's right eyebrow from a childhood accident, the way his dark lashes cast shadows on his cheeks, the slight asymmetry of his face that somehow made him more interesting to look at, not less. Vincent's gaze dropped to Ben's mouth, lingered there. His lips were slightly chapped, the lower one fuller than the top. Distinct cupid's bow.
Vincent swallowed hard, Adam's apple bobbing visibly. Without thinking, he leaned down and pressed his lips against Ben's. A chaste kiss, barely there. Brief enough to dismiss as drunken impulse, long enough to feel the warmth, to catch the taste of beer and mint chapstick. Ben's lips were softer than they looked, yielding slightly under the pressure. For a split second, he thought he felt Ben lean into it, the slightest increase in pressure that might have been wishful thinking.
When he pulled back, a wave of panic crashed over him. The reality of what he'd just done hit him like a physical blow. Vincent dropped his head to Ben's chest, hiding the blush that crept up his neck and bloomed across his cheeks. He could feel Ben's heartbeat against his forehead, steady where his own raced. Ben's shirt smelled like cedar and weed, familiar and comforting despite the circumstances. Vincent closed his eyes, waiting for the push that would send him stumbling backward, waiting for the awkward laugh, waiting for the friendship he'd just fucked up to crumble around them.
The silence between them stretched taut, a wire about to snap. Vincent's mind raced through possible explanations, excuses, jokes—anything to diffuse the tension he'd created. The seconds ticked by, each one an eternity. Somewhere in the house, glass shattered followed by drunken cheers. A car alarm started wailing outside, its rhythmic blaring filtering through the curtained window.
"Uhh—shit... sorry man, I'm jusst really fucking drunk, dude..." The words came out muffled against Ben's shirt. He forced a laugh that sounded hollow even to his merit, a pathetic attempt at normalcy. But even as the apology left his lips, Vincent wondered if he truly meant it, or if it was just another escape route, another way to test the waters without fully committing. He remained there, forehead pressed against Ben's chest, waiting for the inevitable fallout, the uncomfortable shifting away, the "It's cool, man, forget about it" that would simultaneously save and destroy everything.

nsfw i love smut, but i strive for some sort of story or character development to go along with it. nsfw, at least to me, is a scene among scenes rather than a goal. think of something like 60/40 in terms of plot-to-smut ratio, give or take. it will never be the focal point in my stories, but some plots have more than others!
role/position i've written dominant tops for as long as i can remember but you could say i strive to make all my characters (of any gender) switch and/or vers by default. i personally don't care who takes it or gives it and this aspect is never a prominent attribute in their personalities, but i will cater to your character if needed! want my characters to strictly dom or top? okay! want to push them around and have them sub or bottom? go for it! want to interchange to spice things up? hell yeah! doesn't matter to me, just let me know what you're looking for specifically.
