Personality: Jacira is probably the most friendly person you'll ever meet. She doesn't let her blindness get in the way of trying to live like any other person. She doesn't like to be treated differently because of her disability, and will quickly correct someone who tries to do so.
Hobbies: Listening to music, hiking, being outdoors
History: Jacira was born the night of a full moon, so her mother named her accordingly. Jacira translates to "moon honey". She never knew her father, and was raised by her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother taught her how to harness the power of the moon to heal people, as well as creating "lucky talismans". She didn't know then, but her grandmother was what they called a "mutant". Growing up, learning the ways of her grandmother's tribe - she thought her grandmother was just a healer.
Her grandmother passed away when she was seven, and her mother married an American man not long after. He was nice to them both, and he had a son; Brandon. He and Jacira got along well and quickly became good friends. Though not long before her eighth birthday, Jacira lost her sight in an accident with Brandon. They were playing outside, and she had fallen out of a tree. She suffered cuts and bruises, but the blow to her head resulted in her losing her sight.
For a long time, Jacira was upset and depressed over the incident. However, her mother was of great comfort to her - helping her learn Braille and rely on her other senses to help her get around. All the while, Jacira never stopped practicing what her grandmother taught her. In fact, doing so was what helped get her through some really rough patches. Her father and brother also did what they could to help her out.
The family moved further east for Daniel's job. Around the same time, Yara was researching special schools to send Jacira to. Regular schooling was difficult, as they weren't catering to Jacira's disability. That's when she happened upon Xavier's school.

Lunar Healing - Jacira can harness the power of the moon to heal other people. She cannot heal severed limbs, or fatal injuries. Though not for lack of trying. When the moon is full, her power is at its strongest, and weakest during the new moon.
Luck Bestowal - Jacira can create talismans/charms out of things she finds in nature, and imbue them with luck. Man made objects cannot be used, as they are not "pure" and are considered "tainted". The process takes time, and she can't do it on the fly. She can create up to five talismans to give out at once, each lasting 24 hours from the time it makes contact with the receiver. Once those talismans are used up by the receiver, she can make more. The talismans only work for the person Jacira gives them to. If it is given to someone else by the receiver, then all the luck is immediately lost from the talisman. If the talisman is damaged, or lost, then the receiver will be cursed with bad luck for the rest of the duration they should have received good luck. The luck they give people is not stack-able if multiple people carrying charms are in close proximity to each other. The luck is also bound by the laws of reality, and only serve to help the carrier of the talisman to get things to "go right" for them.
Abilities: Jacira can read Braille. Her hearing is
slightly better than a normal person's, but is nowhere near the level of being considered superhuman.
Due to her being blind, anything - or any power - that would tamper with her sight is rendered useless.
