  • Licking her lips faintly, her luck was slowly going down the toliet, because so far, this week was a pile of shit. First, and mind you this was on Monday, her stupid boyfriend had admitted quite clearly that all the time he had used to speak of being accepted into a college, was a giant lie, which wouldn't have been bad. It wouldn't have been bad if he had told her, say, a month ago because it wouldn't have been a giant thing to add on to her plate of annoyances. Generally, it would easily put her to the point of being calm, as she was now, suitcases being plucked up by a set of male students as one of the head administration women explained for a third time the college in front of her. This was the third time since she had first come with her parents, second come to make admissions clarification, and now that she was moving into a dorm, the woman felt the need to repeat herself, despite how Meg had insisted she didn't need to. Inwardly wondering how many new college freshmen she had torn to pieces in her exaggerated and rehearsed speech of how this college was 'One of the very best', the matters at hand were no longer on her mind because this woman was just long winded!

But for some reason, the elder woman seemed to know something that Meghara Teagan, her full name being what the woman said every time she mentioned her name, did not know. Ah well, it didn't matter. Probably just a warning on an untidy roommate or something. Back to her mind complaining then, shall we? Not only had he waited until the last minute to tell her that he wasn't going to college, but her fair weather boyfriend had also stated himself as wanting to see other people. OH, you'd better believe that one sent her over the edge. Feeling the vibrate and the soft murmur of a ring tone she had set for the specific male she had only recently been thinking of, the set of dorms were visible as the August wind made an attempt at tangling her loose chocolate brown curls of hair, Meg let out a faint sigh as she ignored the call from within the shiny leather purse set on her shoulder. The purse was large, enough to knock a homeless man out if you were going for exact calculations, due to the fact that she had never been entirely fond of petite, tiny purses, one hand wrapped around a rolling duffle bag as the two males grunted behind her, following along like a pair of puppies.

They were cute, but they weren't her type. Please, like she had a type anymore. And with that being said, Meg would be keeping her thoughts open to new horizons at this new college, eying up a male that stood a little ways out in the courtyard. Oh yes. New Horizons. The female who had recently turned eighteen letting her heels click to the floor as the woman guided her to the doors of her shared dorm, it was explained to Meg that with the size it was, it was meant for two people rather than one, and the person who currently stayed there had gone through several roommates. Whether it be from graduating or other reasons. Nodding her head softly, opening the door and leading the way inside, Meg let her eyes look over the wide area of space, one bed covered in sheets and things while the other set naked, evidently inviting Meg to place her things down and let the males set her other bags on the floor and exit the room. Hazel green eyes turning to the woman she raised a brow in catching the last name of her roommate, "Wait what?" Maybe she hadn't heard her clear enough. Yeah, that was it.

"Oh, they didn't tell you honey? You're rooming with your brother."[/list:u]

Ah, Mondays the most hated day of the week. Why? That was not the question he really cared to know. He just knew that, that morning when he had rolled out of bed and went to the shower; that there was just something different about this Monday. Jericho Teagan, or J to everyone who knew him that well, was just your average college student. There was nothing exceptional about him. He was a three point oh student, with a tendency to miss the occasional class and would once in a while have one too many shots and pass out on the floor of his room with friends laughing at him.

Two years ago, on about this same day, his parents had moved him to college. Luckily, the two day drive or six hour flight usually deterred them from coming back. That also meant that he had to see his family based on the “holiday rule.” Which he didn’t mind only going home on the important holidays and then off to other states or countries in the summer was fine by him. He was an adventurous twenty year old, twenty one with the next few months, with a taste for odd food, exotic items and even more a taste for the out of the ordinary in almost anything. Once he showered and decided that he was going to try and attend all of his classes he looked at the clock. It read exactly “7:03:32” when he had looked at it. Now after his shower and shave and the brushing of his teeth it was, “7:42:16.” He sighed and took the time to dress into a pair of green running shorts, with some compression short style boxer briefs under them, a black tight fitting tank top, showing off that this young man worked out frequently, low cut ankle socks and some black running shoes. He then took his watch, wallet and a bottle of water and headed out to the track to jog.

For about an hour an a half he was out at the track. Running, doing sit ups, pull ups, push ups, in all honesty a little bit of everything. He had once learned in a class that exercise made people happy, he like to be happy so he decided to try it. He finally finished and looked at his watch “9:17:39” he smiled and trodded back towards his dorm. No longer jogging, now a steady walk. He sighed walking up to the large building, and decided he would take the elevator. Through the front doors he went, pushing the small up arrow and awaiting the elevator. When the doors opened a middle aged lady came walking out, it was the campus guide, or at least to him she was. He said hello as she walked past him and she kind of smiled a “I know something” smile. He shook his head and well messed up his brown, well more brownish red hair then it had been from working out. The elevator stopped on the fourth floor and Jericho stepped out. Walking to his room he fumbled the handle to find it unlocked. He found that odd but didn’t really question anything until he walked through the door to the see the second bed covered in stuff, female stuff at that.

“H..Hello, did they drop me a new roomie to torture?” He called out into the silent room.

  • After having a something of an argument with the older woman, she seemed to not care at all that Meg was already not enjoying her stay at their college, because she would be staying in a dorm with her brother. The woman could evidently care less in the complaints the female was laying on her as she moved toward the door, and with a smile gave her salutations, before leaving as though Meg wasn't to the brink of saying a few choice words. "Well I don't like her." That decision was made quickly, opening one of her suitcases and moving through her things quickly, she dug into her purse after setting it on her bed and found her cell phone, dialing like she had been born typing out numbers on the thing, she moved to the bathroom and closed the door. It took her four times to finally get a hold of her parents, her mother answering the phone with a slightly groggy tone, Meg couldn't care less about her response, immediately beginning to speak, "Mom! Can you believe this?! I'm rooming with Jer! I don't want to room with him!"

She spoke almost as though she were being watched when she really wasn't. Her mother let out a broad yawn from the other side of the phone before making the excuse that it was a good thing for them to both be in the same dorm. He could show her around and help her cope through things. "I don't want my big brother showing me around campus!" Of course she was pissed, Meghara let her knees push together as she leaned against the bathroom wall, a frown playing with the pretty features of her young face. She hadn't heard the sound of her brother calling out in the dorm room, furrowing her eyebrows as her mother made up more excuses, easily knowing that her parents had set this up. Was this some kind of ugly punishment. "Mom. . Mom. . MOMMY!" Hollering out now as she found the woman had not only fallen asleep on her but also hung up, the slight spoiled eighteen year old stomped her foot and stepped out of the bathroom, evidently furious.

Immediately stopping to see her brother poking his head around to see who his new roommate was, keeping herself from stomping her foot again, the curvy figured girl moved to the bed that held her things, sitting down and crossing her arms tightly. Now after taking a glance over the dorm, she could tell that this was her brother's room, her brother's things, sniffing faintly into the air, she could easily dub the smell as his too. "Did mom tell you about this? Because this is not funny." Going to college meant that you were supposed to be independent and, hopefully, without your family around so you could have a break from them. And sure, since her brother went off to college, she had missed him, but at the same time that meant one more chance to be a little more on her own. [/list:u]
