Blake Summors, a rising star within local law firms of the big city. The typical top of his class at law school, and never lost a case. Only one case away from the envied spot of prosecuter. But after work, he had a different type of life. Instead of defending the accused, he captures them. Under the identity of Brood Carapice, the town hero. After an ufortunate accident, he gained the ability to grow enamal like growths from beneath his skin. His entire body gets covered in them, making a type of armor. At first it was out of control, but he learned to control over the years. He was granted with gifts such as non human speed, and became very skilled in Martial arts.
But doing his job became a little bit harder , as now more and more of the culprits he caught, he had to defend in court. Until finally his most persistant enemy was his new client. A super villianess, that seemed to always elude his grasp until now. But he had no time to celebrate as the second in command at the lawfirm ordered him to defend. Losing this case would get him fired, he might be the town hero, but he couldn't afford being unemployed
So there he stood, his short blonde hair neatly combed, his green eyes glassy and bright, his face cleanly shaven as he stood infront of the court in his best suit. He looked perfectly alright with this, but he was dieing inside, standing next to his masked enemy , now client. "Your honer, I demand a mistrial. Looking over the so called evidence I have realized that my client _____ has been denied of her rights. The vigilante, Brood Carapace has performed an illegal citizens arrest, and the arresting officer did not read her, her rights. Also, the security video only shows what happened after the 'crimes' that were committed. There is absolutly no evidance that she attempted theft of the said Diamond on exibit."
The prosecuter rose to his feet. "Objection!" Before he could state his reasons, the elderly judge gave out a labored sigh. "Overruled, Mr. Summors is correct. Unfortunatly there is not enough evidance to carry on a trail. Also with the questionable capture of the defendant, there is simply no means to carry a trial. It burdens me to say that ____ is free to go"
Blake hung his head and sighed as everyone filed out of the courtroom, he can't believe who he let back out onto the world. He had won the case of the century by a technicallity, but he felt no reason to celebrate. Leaving the courthouse himself, he went to his car, back to work.
