Hey Everyone!
My names Emily, I'm 30, and I'm from the UK. I joined this forum a while back and met a bunch of wondeful people, so I thought I'd reach out again to see if I can meet anyone new. I'll keep this thread updated with my latest thoughts and ideas, so watch this space. I work from home so I'm generally available during the day, and evenings. I'll try to keep this brief and not go overboard.
I exclusively roleplay in 3rd person, past tense, and usually aim for around 1 to 6 paragraphs, depending on whats happening in the scene. I have no problem playing an extra character (Or three?) I find it fun to explore different character personalities within a single story, so don't be shy about asking! I enjoy both light/romantic and dark/twisted roleplays, as long as they are fun, compelling, and have an interesting plotline to keep the momentum going. If I'm playing the more submissive role in a dark and gritty roleplay, I do prefer to play bold, opinionated characters with a backbone. I don't think it's fun for anyone if they end up complicit and docile after the first interaction, as the scene then tends to rely on the more dominant, leading character to move the plot forward. As for my partners, I enjoy roleplaying with any gender pairing, be that F/F, F/M, or F/NB.
I've created a Writing Sample below that will hopefully give you an idea of my writing style.
As for genres and settings, I tend to lean more towards Modern/Slice-of-Life scenarios based more in realism, but I do also enjoy Historical, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Apocalyptic, settings as well. If you're more interested in Fandom scenarios, I prefer to play original characters set in the same world.

The long, empty road stretched out before them. Overhead, the sun was beating down against Charlotte's car, turning it into what felt like an oven. The AC was cranked up high, but that did little to prevent the overwhelming heat within… If was suffocating and oppressive… Beads of sweat trickled down her face, merging with the dampness on her brow. Her golden locks clung to her cheeks, as if drenched from an unexpected storm. Moisture trailed down her neck and the curve of her back, saturating her pale blue blouse with shades of navy. Why did I drink so god-damn much last night, she thought, already regretting those last two shot's of Tequila.
Suddenly, she heard Danielle's voice to her left, causing her to jump in her seat. "What time is it?"
"Jesus!" Charlotte cried out, gripping the steering wheel tightly with both hands. "You scared the life out of me…"
Danielle chuckled, stretching her arm's overhead. A faint -clicking- noise escaped from her back as she let out a lingering yawn. "Relax Sis. Why are you always so uptight?"
Danielle gazed out the window at the arid, barren terrain, and the seemingly endless expanse of dunes and desert. During her nap, she had kicked off her shoes, allowing her bare feet to rest against the dashboard. Charlotte frowned disapprovingly as she watched her younger sister pull a cigarette out from her jacket pocket and light it up.
"Do you have to do that while I'm driving, Dani? I already feel like crap," Charlotte grumbled, her words laced with a mixture of frustration and regret. Vague, hazy memories of the previous night's dive bar lingered in her mind, cloaked in a fog of excessive alcohol and an empty stomach.
"Lighten up Charlie… you enjoyed yourself" Danielle replied with a smirk, taking a long, deep drag on her cigarette, relishing the harsh, satisfying burn at the back of her throat.
Nearly a week had passed since the Sisters had embarked on their road trip to California, where Charlotte lived and studied. Charlotte was worried about her Sister, who having failed to get a GPA that would even come close to what she needed to get into College, seemed to be going nowhere in life. To make matters worse, she had fallen in with the wrong crowd, seemingly more interested in going out, getting drunk, and partying. Charlotte had hoped this little road trip might have been a good chance to connect with her Sister after such a long period away from eachother, but every time she tried to raise her concerns, Danielle was quick to shut her down, and move the conversation onto something more fun.
A roadside diner crept into view on the horizon, as Charlotte huffed in frustration. "Let's stop here... I need food."
Little did they know, their chance encounter with the small, innocuous diner would irrevocably shatter their lives in ways they couldn't possibly imagine.
