Four fifty-two. One didnâ??t have to wonder why the halls were so deserted this time of the day. Sure, there were one or two administrators left doing only God knew what in their offices, but, as for the students, they had completely disappeared. All accept for one lucky student. Sure, his mother had to come in and have a considerably long talk with their Principle. That was nothing though. He had them both completely convinced, and he had gotten away with it without even getting grounded. After all, when it was a grown man, versus a seventeen year old boy, the â??innocentâ?? child almost inevitably won every time.
After all was said and done, he planned on going out to have fun â?? and for once, his parents actually felt bad for him and wanted him to enjoy himself. A bright smile flickered across his features as he leaned on the only door frame that still had a light on within, and much movement from inside. There was just one more stop he needed to make. To him, it was all a big joke. No, he couldnâ??t conjure up any sort of remorse for his old teacher. Not that the man had ever done anything to make him angry, but he really wasnâ??t hard on the eyes at all. It was a first for Zack and it was amusing that he had pulled it off â?? albeit, with much difficulty.
Slender fingers brushed at chocolate brown hair, to keep it from obscuring green eyes as they danced playfully over the room. â??You know,â? He muttered thoughtfully, but it seemed to echo in the room. â??I think it looks nicer. Much cleaner than before, donâ??t you think?â? And it was. The room almost looked bare as the teacher gathered all of his belongings. They would have a substitute for a while, which was good. It meant that this would be a blow off class. â??Need any help packing?â? Moving and placing his hands against the desk, he sighed. It was true. Zackary McCauley really didnâ??t have any conscience at all
