Robert walked up to a store with his parents, looking to the name. It was a pet store, smiling that he was finally going to get a pet. It was his birthday and he'd been asking for a pet for years. Finally, though it's the only gift he gets this year, they gave in. He was becoming 21 and getting a place of his own, another reason they were doing this for him.

To his surprise though, walking into the store, it wasn't just a normal pet store. It was a store filled with 'pets' that were used for mostly different reasons. He blushed that his parents would bring him to such a place like this, looking around. He stood at about 5'7, a slender, tone framed body. His hair was a blood red, long only in the bangs, hiding his right blue eye. "This will be harder than choosing an actual pet..."
 
Kiara looked around herself. She was placed behind a glass pen where there were other pets like herself too was within these pens. They all looked different and some are strange and some are pretty. The kitten looked around, even if she was just 15 year old, to neko ages, they are considered kittens. The young one looked over a dangling tag over the glass, wondering what written there with all the little eggs show there and something like a snake. She didn't know it was her price and she too didn't notice another one showing, 'Forest Winter'. Kiara mewed softly, being stuck here in two days already, being fed and taken care of but never had a chance to be petted or complimented or even loved. The usual ring of the doors of the shop opened as she turned to see a young man followed by his family it seems. Kiara sat on her rump, looking up at him, hoping that he would be the one to love her.
 
Robert roamed through each pet, giving each one at least a fair two minutes at minimum. When he finally reached Kiara, he looked to the price then to her. He tilted his head a little, reaching his hand into the cage, biting his lip gently as he awaited her reaction. He had already gotten some info about her, knowing she was new to the store. And he knew it was the store's policy that the workers never showed any affection to any pet unless they intended to buy. "Kiara is it?"
 
Kiara waited, watching his every movement before he finally came to her. The kitten looked up at him before blinking at the hand slipping in the pen. She watched it for a few moment before bringing a hand up, swatting it like a paw as she let out an adorable mew. Her tail swishes from right to left in anticipation, wondering if he would buy her, "Mreow~" she mewed once more, getting on to her knees, one hand over the glass, watching him with her golden orbs.
 
Robert sighed softly, smiling at Kiara. He pet her ears for a short moment before turning to his parents. He spoke with them for a couple minutes and he was soon returning with a few collars and a leash. He placed the collars in the pen and smiled to her. "Which one do you like the best?" He wondered what she would think, hoping she could figure out that he was buying her this very moment.
 
Kiara looked up at the male, wondering if he would buy her. The kitten stayed still, whimpering when he left her, thinking that he would not buy her. The white head, pawed at the glass, suddenly feeling attached to this one male. To her surprise, he came for her, bearing those collars she knew when one pet was sold. She mewed happily, looking at the array of pretty one he shown. In the end, she picked out the white with some gold decorations, fitting for her, it bring out her eyes, "Mew!" she mewled at him, her tail swishing happily.
 
Robert placed the collar she chose gently around her neck. "Well, Kiara. I'm glad you seem happy." He clipped the leash to the collar and gave the others back. He then lifted the tiny girl from the pen and held her in his arms. "Hey there. You get to move into a new home with me today." He just hoped the movers had his stuff ready and unpacked before he got back.
 
Kiara mewed happily, letting him fix up the collar around her neck. She stayed still patiently, smiling up to him, wanting his attention more than anyone else. When he came back, he easily picked her up from the pen after he had clipped on the leash around her neck, "Mew!" she cried happily, purring softly against his body as she nuzzled close.
 
Robert kissed the top of her head softly, smiling to the little one in his arms. He then carried her out to the car, getting in the back as he was ready to get to his new home now. He was able to get a one bedroom house, but it was really all he needed. "I wonder what all we'll be able to do." He heard the doors to the car close, the engine starting up, and soon they were off.
 
Kiara felt strange and yet happy to have a new Master like this. The kitten purred softly, nuzzling in his arms as she was brought to a car. She wondered how it looked like inside as the Forest Winter mewed, sniffing about in the car in an adorable yet curious manner. When the engine started, she tensed up and rushed to Robert's lap, curling up as she was not used to being in a car.
 
Robert giggled softly, keeping her close in his arms while they rode off. He pet her back and rubbed her ears softly. "You're so cute. I'm sure we'll have fun and enjoy one another." He pet her more until they reached the house, taking her leash so she could actually walk as he began to get out of the car. "Come on."
 
Kiara mewed softly as she stayed on his lap, nuzzling closer in his arms as the car moved on. At the feel of his hands down her back and rubbing her ears, she couldn't help but purr in content. She stayed that way until the car stopped and she blinked when he got up and opened the door, leading her on her leash as the kitten got up herself and followed his lead.
 
Robert stretched a little, looking to Kiara as she got out of the car. He smiled to her and started to head to the house. "Well, this is it." He looked it over, tilting his head a little. It seemed bigger than he thought, even if it were just a one bedroom place. He shrugged and opened the door, seeing everything was unpacked. He took her leash off and let her roam the house on her own as he let his parents go.
 
Kiara followed him into their new home. She looked around and took in the neighbourhood. She felt safe and somehow homey as soon as she stepped into their house. Once the leash was off, she mewed and paraded around the home, sniffing at everything in sight and exploring the whole house.
 
Robert came back inside when his parents were gone, closing the door and yawning. He then went to the fridge, seeing if any of the requested items were there. "You hungry?"
 
Kiara's ears twitched when she heard that familiar footsteps. She followed him into the kitchen, looking up and him and noticed that she rather enjoyed walking on all four around the house. "Mew!" she cried, wanting to eat as well.
 
Robert smiled, taking her 'mew' for a yes. He made up some food and looked to her, scratching the back of his head. He opened up the fridge for her to get a look to see what she'd want to eat. "It'd be nice if you could talk."
 
Kiara's ears twitched as well as her cute little nose. The kitten mewed softly once more, getting hungry as her stomach growled. She scanned the fridge before she heard her Master saying something about her speaking, "A bit.." she suddenly spoke, admitting that she could only speak the basic stuff.
 
Robert smiled softly and nodded. "That's good. A start and I know i'll be able to get you to talk better sometime." He got down a bit so he could pet her. He then showed her what he made himself, wondering if she'd want it too.
 
Kiara smiled up at his compliment, purring softly as she stood next to him, once more her eyes glued to the fridge. When he presented her his own cooking, she leaned over to sniff at it curiously. She wondered how it would taste like and she would love to give it a try, "Mew mew~" she mewed, pointing to the food.
 
Robert smiled greatly, rubbing her ears and smiling at how cute she was. He then got to his feet and brought out a couple of plates, putting the food on each. He then tasted his, nodding as it seemed like it wouldn't be too hot. He put her plate on the ground and watched her. He wasn't about to eat until he knew she was eating in case he had to make her something else.
 
Kiara purred, pushing up under his hand, loving to be patted and rubbed around the ears. The kitten mewed softly, watching him bringing out the food. Soon enough when he placed it down on the floor, she bent over and sniffed at it. Slowly she took a bite and let out a happy mew, a sign that it was delicious as she carried on with her food happily.
 
Robert slowly walked away from Kiara, wondering how she'd react to it. Hopefully she wouldn't mind the distanct as he sat down at the table and began to eat himself. He smiled as he looked over now and then to see her eating.
 
Kiara blinked when he heard her Master moved away from her. The kitten turned to watch him, not wanting to be apart too far as she had grown rather clingy to him. She purred in delight at the food, eating in bliss.
 
He finished and went to the kitchen to wash up the plate. He then looked over to her, kneeling at her side as he waited for her to finish eating.
