It had been three long months since the ship left the mouth of the Nile for the great sea. No one on the ship knew if there was anything to be found at the other end of this vast expanse of water, but Egyptians were curious enough to try. Their ship was the finest shipmakers could create, it had to be because they had no idea how long it would be on the salty water. The crew was made up of the best sailors, some of the most skilled warriors, and great scientists. Among the warriors, there was Leila. Leila was a skilled fighter and archer, with some of the best training in Egypt. She was also the only woman on board, though no one dared touch her without consent because her father was Pharaoh. Albeit she was not a full blood royal, her mother was one of Pharaoh's cousins. She was also one of 50 daughters so one daughter gone missing on some crazy expedition was acceptable. Besides, she could defend herself without her daddy there threatening the death penalty.

Leila sits at the front of the ship on the railing, letting the cool wind blow through her long black hair, her blue eyes watching the horizon. She is about 5 ft tall with a tone, tan body and a C cup chest. She wears a tight, white linen top that cuts off at her belly, and a small white linen skirt designed to give her maximum maneuverability. On her feet she wears Gladiator sandals, liking how they stayed put on her feet unlike regular Egyptian sandals. She also has a bow and several sharp weapons, though she left them inside as she did not expect to use them right now.

The last few days had brought new hope to the crew. They had spotted birds in the air and several small islands. The water around those islands was a gorgeous blue, like lapis lazuli only liquid. At about midday they spotted a long strip of land on the horizon. It looked like nothing they had ever seen before. It was all thick treeline with a small beach they could park their boat at. Leila had never seen so many trees in one place, she did not know this was possible.

At around 3 O'clock they made landfall and quickly got out of the ship to stretch their legs and kiss the earth. They found their legs quite wobbly though. Leila wanted to start exploring right away, seeing plants that she had never seen before, not even from tributes paid by the most exotic of peoples. Leila put on her belt that held her sword and daggers, and her bow and quiver over her shoulder. Despite some of the other warriors saying she should probably wait a bit, she permeated the treeline, not going far into the dense treeline, but far enough that she could watch the land's animal inhabitants. She was hearing sounds that no one from her people had ever heard before, and she wanted to see what was making them. As a precaution, one of the other men accompanied her, not knowing what could come of of this place. For all they knew, Ammet, eater of hearts, could come at them.

Nehdukah was a solitary hunter on the twin Isles, a slayer of beasts and men alike. His dark tanned skin was covered in a thin layer of sweat, the jungles were humid and dense. His eyes darted about the treeline, his spear twitching in his capable hands.Like lightning the weapon flew from his fingers with wings of it's own, striking the wild boar and killing it.Nehdukah dusted his hands off with a smile as he made his way to the boar, a smile on his face as he plucked the gruesome weapon out.Blood dripped off the multiple barbs on the tip of the spear, a particularly nasty weapon that looked like It could tear a man to shreds.

It had been a long trek back to his shelter in the oasis part of the thick brush, the warm boars blood running down Nedukah."Dinner, finally" he groaned as he heaved the large slab of meat off his shoulders."I'll feast like a king tonight" he mused as he began work on a fire, he wanted to have it ready for when he got hungry, which was always in the evenings.

Several hours had passed and night had nearly fallen when he heard the loud drums and the whailing."...They've caught something?" said Nehdukah as he put his chunk of boar meat down. The loud hoots meant the tribe had caught someone tress passing, though by their means anything that moved was.He scooped his spear up and darted through the jungle with jaguar like agility, leaping over thick roots and vines and ducking under low hanging branches.

His eyes scanned the shore and the wrecked boat, noting there weren't much of any slain, just a few tribe members."They must be skilled warriors to slay them as such" he observed. He only prayed some of these strange new people had gotten away, the tribe was ruthless with prisoners. His intuitive nature kicked in and he began to creep across the sand, examining the odds and ends he could find, baffled by alot of the superior technologies."These people must have been great explorers and pioneers, It's a shame they've come here".It wasn't that he held any resentment for other cultures, it was that his culture did, which was why he lived in self imposed exile.

The the exploration group had managed to escape from the wild, aggressive natives with few injuries. One man had taken an arrow to his arm, other cut by spears that narrowly missed them. Thankfully none their legs had not be injured and they were all able to run away. They ran through the jungle in any direction they could get through, the undergrowth occasionally so thick they had to hack their way through.

After a half hour of running they felt they had gotten away and found a dry, safe cave to rest in and take care of wounds. Leila and several others put honey on and wrapped wounds, wanting their comrades to be fit to keep moving. Hopefully they could find some less-aggressive natives. Scouts would probably be the best for finding such civilized people. They also would need to catch some food. A few men were sent out to try and find a civilized people close by, and Leila and another man were sent to catch and gather food.

Leila found a bunch of fruit, but did not pick them as she did not know if they were safe to eat. They were yellow and boat-shaped. They did not seem very safe. It did not matter, she caught a little pig-like creature, though it was covered in fur and had a rodent-like head. She started walking bad with the creature, knowing it would be good for temporary sustenance.

He had watched her quietly for a while now, using her blindspots to stalk her like a junglecat.Nedukah blinked quietly as she avoided the banana's, nothing was wrong with them, they were perfectly in season. It was strange she'd pick the creature up, such a small thing wouldn't feed her well, it was mostly gristle. He held his javelin at the ready, speaking in his native tongue, which he didn't expect she understood. "Hey, put that boar down. It's in my area of the woods, not to mention it's only a youngling!".The hunting season had been bad, the boars hadn't been mating and there were few offspring, the young ones were off limits. He strode over to the tree, picking a banana he peeled it and offered it to her instead.

Leila turned, hearing a strange language being spoken. She had no idea what he was saying, but it sounded a bit threatening. She slyly pulled out a dagger in case she need to throw it at the person who was talking to her. The man she saw looked very strange, so dark skinned and he looked like he had been in many fights. Surprisingly handsome for someone who was not Egyptian though. She watched the strange man peel the fruit she had dismissed before, still not trusting the thing. She pushed the fruit toward him, wanting to see him take a bite before she would.
