The contract was signed, with Crow's name on the dotted line. It had felt suspiciously like signing Crow's soul to the Devil.
But that was okay, because Crow didn't believe in the Devil, and he needed help. Any help. Even this help.
A kind friend had been the one who suggested it to him - you're so beautiful, I know this site where sugar daddies and sugarbabies meet, maybe that would help you make ends meet? And he'd agreed, because he'd already dropped out of high school to strip full-time to try to afford the lifestyle he longed to give Hana . . . and instead of that, only given her a roach-infested studio apartment that kept being broken into and robbed, had no A/C in the summer and a single space heater in the winter, and neighbors about as questionable as they come.
He'd already talked to her, before they came, though. Made it clear. If something ... happened. If this man turned out to be like mom towards her. Nothing, not a nice house and a nice bed and nice toys, made that okay.
As far as moving in goes, he'd just finished setting up Hana in her room, which the man had graciously afforded her in a guest wing, separate from the main house. She'd have her own TV, a queen-sized bed, her own refrigerator. Not many toys yet, just what Crow had hand-made her, but she liked those best anyway, even if Crow didn't believe her.
He left her reading a book he'd picked up for free from the library for her and came across the wide lawn, past the pool and hot tub, and into the house.
Crow was a little shocked that this kind of wealth existed, to be honest. He went in search of his new ... uh ... Daddy (he hoped he didn't expect him to call him that), with a small backback slung over his back that contained everything he owned in the world. All the bags he'd brought in were Hana's. He wondered where he'd find the man, and what kind of mood he'd be in.
