Questions about Bbcode.

So like, having looked around at different forums, it looks like each one has a different method of letting you use BBcode to do stuff. Some forums allow certain codes, others do not recognize them.

My question is, is there like a general database / repository I can refer to that would let me go through codes that are more widely / generally accepted in more places than in not?

Most places you'll find they use similar codes. But I have seen subtle differences here and there like a "floatleft" versus "float_left" and so on.
It's probably best to just refer to the code list offered by whatever place you're aiming to use them on. I think most places will have a guide. ^^
