Now, his biological son wasn't just Lloyd Irving. To the combined worlds, he was the savior of the world- the Hero of World Regeneration. During his adventures, Lloyd was able to discover the truth that he, Kratos, was his actual father, but even as he did, he left for Derris Kharlan before any 'bonding time' could come into order. Lloyd was left in Dirk's hands again, and the connection between the two ( Lloyd and Kratos ) were lost. When he returned to check up on the world's mana supply and everything else, he thought of visiting his son, but decided against it. He almost felt guilty for appearing and disappearing in front of his own child whenever he wanted instead of staying around for a bit longer, so he was a bit hesitant about it at first. But with a lot of self-convincing, he was traveling to Iselia in no time at all. There, he was able to meet Raine and Genis, who informed him that his son was currently on another journey to destroy all of the remaining Exspheres of the world. How pointless would that effort be ? The cause and intention was noble, but to get rid of those blasted contraptions meant that he would need the power to erase evil and sin, too.
After bidding the half-elves farewell, he visited Dirk and stayed a little while to spend some quality time with Noishe and Anna. By the time he finally lifted his feet from the square of her grave, it was getting late. Because he wasn't quite a mortal, it didn't take him long to locate Lloyd. Their meeting was awkward and a bit hostile at first, but Lloyd agreed for him to accompany him on his possibly endless quest to destroy all of the Exspheres of the world. Thus, and finally, an inexpressive father's wish to get a bit closer to his son came true. During their first day of training, he was a bit disappointed and ashamed of the fact that Lloyd still wasn't 'mature', even if he did hold the most important title of all. Kratos understood Lloyd's puppy-like nature, but shouldn't a swordsman be a bit more 'manly' ?
Lloyd was already strong, but he still needed to be level-headed. He was still short-tempered and irrational with his decisions, so Kratos made it his responsibility to fully teach Lloyd how to be a 'man' by the end of their shortened trip together. The Gaoracchia Forest seemed to be a suitable training place for their first lesson. Stopping the production of Exspheres was important, but training was equally essential, too. One couldn't be prepared for any other sort of mission if they weren't physically ready for it. With his gloved hand clasped over the butt of his sword, he calmly walked along the paved path of the mossy road, keeping his eyes peeled but relaxed for any enemies that may pounce on the both of them. The Gaoracchia Forest was truly a complicated place, and it was also teeming with monsters, so it would certainly prove to be a great training place for an undeveloped swordsman like his son. Lloyd still needed a lot of brushing up on his techniques.
" Stop lagging behind. Your slow foot was the reason we were delayed most of the time, " the older man grunted, whisking his head slightly over his shoulder to glare at the boy behind him. His laziness needed to be fixed, too ...
