Hey!

So this is more of a 'is it in good taste'-type of question, but I was thinking of starting a freeform group RP titled, tentatively, "The Blue Moon Outpost", and the OOC premise is it's a place for a potpourri of genres and settings. ICly it will be on a small moon, on the edge of the galaxy (sci-fi influences go brrrr) where...well, you'll just have to find out, won't you? The point of this here is, is the name somehow not a good idea?

Thanks so much in advance for your reply!!

This seems like it should be fine. You will need to include (Unofficial) to it, (Unofficial) The Blue Moon Outpost, so that it is mostly clear that the thread is member controlled and not staff controlled. It'd be best if you also explain it in your opening paragraph that the thread is member based, and not an official staff driven thread. Good luck in your endeavor, Moon Hopper.

Actually, one more question. Based on what you read above, would it go in Open Roleplay or Freeform Group Roleplay? Cause it's meant to be a drop-in, drop-out format.

Open Rp is the random drop in type, I believe.

Freeform is a section contrasted with System Group rps. System uses a specific rule system, usually published like DnD, Whitewolf, Pathfinder, etc. And by contrast, Freeform is not system based but just original or fandom stories with no dice rules or stats. It still has a set number of players who sign up to join and they agree to stay for the whole story. Usually the GM will cut off sign ups at some point when they have enough players and they'll require some sort of character sheet from people when they first join the game.

Open rp has no set number of sign ups, no character sheets, and players come and go without warning.
