Hello all!
Wondrous to meet you, and a hearty thank you for visiting this humble thread. I'm Adelphia. While not new to role playing, it is my first time on this site in particular. I would say I'm intermediate to advanced in my roleplaying....category....rating...not sure of the word per-say. I match what ever my partner writes, word count and everything.
As the tags may suggest, I prefer primarily playing female characters, specifically female main characters, but I will happily play whatever gender in regards to side characters. I'm opened to pretty much every genre, though I fantasy, supernatural, and historical themes within roleplays hold a special place in my heart (not all together, but just in and of themselves).
Before I move on to the more fun things like plots and pairings, I should note that one of my favorite things about roleplaying is building a world/plot with the person I'm roleplaying with. So if any of these plots or pairings interest you but you wish to make some tweaks here or there, or even if you just think we would be a good roleplaying duo, please don't hesitate to PM me/comment below!

Plots:
I've been reading the Mortal Instruments series recently and am kind of craving a roleplay similar to it with a wee twist. As with the series, there are those descended from the angels who serve to fight against their fallen brethren. Vampires, werewolves, warlocks and demons alike stalk the streets in fear of the glowing angelic blades of these well honed hunters. However, what is less commonly told are the gods of old. Well Gods would be a generous explanation for what they actually are. Bundles of energy, closely tied with the universe, that shift and form to fit whatever narrative the humans that view them seem to wish upon it. There are those who once worshiped these old gods and, in kind, learned to harness their energy to manipulate the world around them. They have gone by many names, but now many refer to them as Covens.
The Covens have been at odds with the Shadowhunters for as long as a war has been raged, with many hunters confusing them with Warlocks and witches, the spawn of human and demons. An uneasy truce was struck between them, with many Coven members bearing a necklace with the Clave's symbol to show they are not of demon blood. However, more and more there are members of the Covens that seek more power than they have been granted. Turning their back on their own sacred laws, these individuals begin teaming up with demons to dabble in an art long since forbidden in the Coven, Blood Magic.
MC is heir to a seat at the head of a long standing Coven. As such, she soon meets with a young Shadowhunter, YC, to begin fostering relationships with the Clave she will soon be working so closely with. However, a body is shortly discovered bearing the marks of a blood magic ritual. Though nervous MC insists on investigating further to determine which individual is responsible for breaking the code among the Covens, something she begrudgingly brings YC along in the process. However, as the bodies of Shadowhunters begin to appear with the same marking. MC and YC must team up to determine the threat behind it before an all out war breaks out.
(Note: This could take place either in modern times or a more historical/medieval setting)

So I was initially thinking that this could follow sort of a childhood friends to lovers storyline, but I'm open to changing that. MC and YC were childhood friends, concerned with little more than how to best to spend their days within the castle. However, as the two begin to grow into teens, YC is forced to leave the castle with little more than a goodbye. With a heavy heart at losing her beloved friend, MC throws herself into training as the next heir to the kingdom. While her father is a weak king, allowing the nobles to do as they please so long as they provide him with a near endless supply of entertainment and booze, MC is determined to be all that her father lacks in as a ruler.
Years pass, and soon she is presented to the public as her father's official heir during an annual festival, to the chagrin of many nobles. In another life, MC and YC were lovers, caught in a country poisoned by war and intrigue. As the violence gets closer to where the lovers stay, they share a promise beneath a crimson moon, a promise to find one another in this life and the next they shall only love one another. Soon after (either MC or YC) is one of the many lives that are claimed by this war. Nearly 200 years later, the two souls are reunited once more. However, YC has been tasked to kill MC (the reason for this could be changed but my initial thought was that MC could be a magic user in hiding or perhaps an heir set to inherit the position as head of a magical clan from her grandmother. In this scenario, the current party/ house running the kingdom could view magic and all those who use it as a threat to their own power, wishing to kill any who possess even a hint of the threat). With the talk of a revolution nipping at the heels of the country once more, and both torn between love and duty, which side will they choose and who should they forsake?

This one is a half-baked not so fleshed out idea that I feel would really depend on your vision for YC. MC had only just graduated from university when she received a call from her beloved uncle stating not to worry but he had to stay in the hospital for a few days after a mysterious fainting spell. Before he could even mutter not to worry, MC was already on a plane to her bustling home city. When she returns, she immediately visits her uncle who, while happy at his niece's return, asks if she wouldn't mind helping run the day-to-day clerical aspects of the business. While she was well aware her uncle had a small, yet thriving business he had established shortly after she had left for college, MC was in for one hell of a shock when she realized that the business was renting out boyfriends for fantasy dates with eager clients. YC is one of the aforementioned "boyfriends" under her uncle's management company.
From here, it could turn into a kind of working relationship in a sense, with YC being entertained by how easily flustered MC gets and insisting that he use her to practice out new dates or flirting techniques on her

YC and MC are heirs presumptive of their respective kingdoms. Promised at birth to one another, they have made it very clear that while their guardians believe this is a flawless plan to ensure peace between the two feuding kingdoms, YC and MC have done little to hide their disdain from one another. Enemies since childhood, their resentment shows no signs of slowing even on the day the two kingdom's come together upon neutral ground to officially announce the engagement between them. However, during a ball hosted to commemorate the occasion, a group of masked attackers descend upon the crowd and kidnap the young couple. Bound by the wrist to one another, the two must work together if they have any chance of making it back to their homelands alive.
Revolution has been bubbling beneath the surface of MCs town. Talks of rebellion have penetrated even the highest level of upper nobility. Already, small pockets of battles have broken out in neighboring villages. MC is the only biological daughter of the Lord of the region. While she would hardly say her life was filled with a warm and attentive family, she was provided everything she physically needed. One day, while walking along a river close to her house, she spots a bloodied man, YC lying next to the river side. Scurrying over to his side, she treats his wounds as much as she is able to, and soon returns with food for him. While YC recovers in an abandoned home near by, MC continues to bring him food and supplies she was able to smuggle out of her home under the guise of going to visit her friend. However, she is soon followed by one of the towns' guards, who confronts the pair. Cornered, YC takes MC hostage, fleeing with her back to the headquarters of the resistance movement. Over time, MC begins to learn more about the resistance and its cause. The whole situation culminates in a full blown revolution, and YC and MC are forced to chose where they stand.
Note: My initial thought is for this to be group of oppressed magic users, formerly scorned and ostracized by the ruling nobility out of fear of the mages displacing them. MCs could be one of the magic users, a fact both she and her mother hid from her father out of fear that he would turn her over to a sort of magical policing agency.

I got a premise of this idea from a manga I was reading recently. While most in the human world are oblivious to the vampiric world the thrives just out of their reach, MC has been unwillingly entangled in its web since her birth. Though possessing abnormal strength, beauty, and intelligence, vampires are not the immortal beings history calls us to believe. Living just beyond the span of a human's life, and unable to produce within their own vampiric clans, vampires have long since relied on humans, male and female alike to continue their lineage. However, while technically half human half vampire, these offspring inherit either or, never both. With 1 in 7 children produced from this union resulting in a human child, MC just so happened to be one of the "broken" few, as her vampiric mother so lovingly called it, while her younger brother took more to their vampiric side.
MC is a hard working secretary/personal assistant (depending on what direction my partner wishes to take the story), eager to keep at least a portion of her life normal. However, not long after beign assigned to one of the high ranking officials, YC , despite the fact he is not much older than she, MC discovers that he too is a part of the vampiric world. Though initially unwilling of having a secretary, YC decides that having an individual who has her own connections to the vampiric world, would make for an interesting time.

After MC's father died, life has been rough for her and her younger siblings. With an ailing mother running a small rest stop for weary travelers in their village, much of the duties have fallen upon MC. However, when a neighboring country invades their homeland, the King asks that each family send a man or, if wealthy, a group of soldiers. A slimy local official, scorned by her continued rejections towards marrying him, puts forth her younger brother's name as one who would serve the king's(or emperor's army). Not wishing to lose any more of her family members, MC dresses in her father's old clothes and sets off to the army under her brother's name.
From here, this could potentially go two directions. One option, is full on Mulan, with YC taking more of the role of Shang in terms of commander/the one in charge of training the newbies so they don't die in their first battle. Or I was also thinking of a sort of long lost childhood friend/ childhood friend, has been summoned to the same division and, after some circumstances, discovers that she is not only a female but his old friend. It could also be a mix of both, where a childhood friend, once orphaned, has been adopted by a high ranking noble and, after years as a solider, is training the new recruits for their first battle.

MC remembers YC as a kind soul with a smile to match who she used to spend the summer hours chasing along the banks of a babbling stream. It was the gentle nature of her first childhood love that MC remembered from YC. So then how is the man with the icy demeanor and battle hardened gaze the same person as her childhood love?"
My initial idea with this was that MC is reunited with YC after years of being apart. I was initial thinking yakuza or mob, or something along those lines but perhaps an assassin/ hitman within a powerful family could work to. YC could have potentially saved her from a dangerous situation that she was dragged into due to her boss's underhanded dealings in his work. This could then go one of two ways. Option 1, with the sudden move/loss of her first love MC, now reunited after thinking she would never see YC again, could try to track him down, using her boss's/ex-boss's shady contacts as a way to try to figure out how to meet up with him. It could start out as simply just wanting answers as to what happened that made him change so suddenly. From there, a rival family/clan/ what ever you so wish, could see her interacting with him and believe they could use her in order to somehow manipulate him in regards to a current feud between their two affiliations. After such an attempt, it becomes clear that it would be too dangerous for her to roam about and assigns YC to be a sort of bodyguard while the two stay under the protection of the clan/family/ etc.
Option 2, could be that after witnessing what happened, they believe it's too dangerous to let her simply roam around freely and allow her to live on the condition she works for the family/clan/etc. for the time being. With the clan/family/your hearts desire eager to get information from the rival clan/family/etc. without drawing too much suspicion. They secure her a position as an escort in one of the rival's private lounges for the rich, powerful, and famous, promising not only that she would, likely, only have to provide simple entertainment for the guests, but YC would closely supervise her.
Regardless of which option, the two become reacquainted as they work to take down the rival clan so that MC can return to her life before. But in the end, will she want to?

With this plot I was thinking a much heavier smut to plot percentage. While the plot below is based on if YC is a vampire, it could also be played in a historical or fantasy context instead.

One day, MC is kidnapped by a group of bandits, and is smuggled across the border to be put up for sale on the Blood Market where she is purchased by YC. YC, agrees to help MC get back to the human world and reunite with her sister if she meets two conditions. 1. MC works as YC's assistant/maid/servant to repay every sent he spent on her. 2. MC is at his beck and call morning, noon, and night.
