It had seemed like a nice enough place. Not too far away from the city center and not too expensive. Two things Parker never thought she had to pay attention to. The club however seemed a bit dodgy as she got in. Firstly, getting in was odd. Most guests got checked and questioned and searched but Parker was just let through with a smile from the two female bouncers. A dark skinned lady behind a counter smiled and waved her by as well and then, after she passed through a rather tacky beads curtain she stepped into something that really wasn't what she had been looking for. dedfdcb-60540a9c-52a9-4056-a8db-82b4231f5317.png

She had wanted a bar, to have a few cheap drinks to forget her problems. Not a semi sex club. As she walked over to the bar, she felt the eyes of members and guests upon her. Her latex pants hugged her legs and hips tightly and her short denim jacket revealed her flat stomach coming from under a frayed white tank top. When she reached the bar, she lifted herself onto a stool and grabbed a menu and plucked a strand of her light hair out of her face.

"Pink velvet please."

The bartender, a friendly enough looking guy smiled at her and grabbed a glass and began to make her cocktail.

"You new here?"
"Is it obvious?"

The bartender smiled. He had probably seen his fair share of girls and he nodded in the direction of the stage. Two scarcely clad women, covered in tattoos and cyberware were dancing in a cloud of coloured mist and lights.

"You look a bit too fancy to be a dancer... or a customer really."

Parker scoffed.

"Yeah this is my first time here... I was looking for... something a bit les..."
"Sexy? Smutty? This is a Braindance club love. Welcome to Lizzy's."

Fucking great. Not only was she looked at as a dancer, there was a small chance that somewhere in one of the booths, somebody was actually fucking her. She knew how popular the Westbrooke Sluts series was in certain parts of the world and having recently starred in one.. well.. it might cause her to be seen or recognised in a place like this. Which was ironic because that braindance was the only reason she was here. Her father had seen it and thus experienced fucking his little girl, an experience he could probably have done without and immediately thrown her out. She had ruined his reputation, bla bla bla... and before she knew it, she was out on the streets with just her car and credit cards.

Parker was staying in a hotel in the city center but without an income and still having a luxury lifestyle, funds were running out quickly. The braindance had made her a lot of money and it was tempting to do another, just to get some money. The bartender placed her drink, a chemical fluorescent pink drink with a luminous yellow mist on it in front of her.

"First one's on the house."

Parker thanked him and took a sip of the cocktail and then spotted another lady at the bar. Blue hair, lots of tattoos and some cyber implants on the side of her head. Desperate for some company she moved closed and sat next to the woman.

"Hi... I'm Parker. You a dancer here?"

Unlike many of the inhabitants of Nightcity Lexie loved it. Sure it could be a hard life and she hated how the corpos shat on all of those beneath them but it was what it was. She had done alright so far in it, she had made a life for herself. She had moved here with her family at the age of seven having left her home in Mexico City. Her father had supposed to follow them but he never did, Hex's mama had never told them why he hadn't come and hadn't let any of her kids know just what happened to him or what he was doing.

Since the early days she always loved the lights, the energy and the nights. The city thrived at night. She didn't even mind the fact that nobody really cooked in Nightcity, nobody owned a kitchen. Her mother still did but she loved the abundance of food, the choice and variety that was offered here. She loved energy and excitement, Nightcity provided both in abundance. Sure it was dangerous but that adrenaline, that risk just gave the girl a kick.

Hex had always been good with tech, she learned from her grandad at a young age who taught her the basics and she taught herself the rest. She could program, she could hack. She had sometimes broken into a corps cyberspace just to see if she could. Sure she was no prodigy but the latina definitely had talent. Even more than that Hex knew her way around an engine as though it was second nature. It was why she naturally got a loan and opened up her own garage. She was still paying off her debts.

-

Hex had been hard at work all day in her garage working on some Tyga claw bikes that had come her way. She had to work quick and by the end of it she was exhausted. They often gave her shirt deadlines. She didn't feel like going home and staying in so that she could watch a few of her dumb romcoms. No, she fancied a slice of nightlife.

As usual she stopped by a local dimsum stall and grabbed her usual from the cute Asian girl that she had a crush on who always made her cheeks flush scarlet with a nice comment. She ate, threw the box in the large pile of takeout boxes and then showered. Soon she had blue lipstick and eyeshadow that complimented her washed blue hair. She wore tight blue shorts over the top of ripped fishnets. Her top was purple with a band logo on it with the name. "Dynasty".

Hex went to Lizzie's that night, she liked it there, she had been enough to be friends with a few of the staff. She sometimes went for the BD's, sometimes for drinks and other times to find company. Hex was no stranger to a one night stand. She hadn't dated for a few years since her last one had ended pretty sourly.

Hex was pulled from her tequila cybercrash wandering turned to look at the girl who was, without a doubt, gorgeous. She mulled her words over for a second and wondered if it was supposed to be a compliment or an insult. She decided to take it as a compliment.

"Hey chica. I look good enough t'be one, do I? Nah, I ain't. Names Hex. Just a customer. Damn, look at you though girl. You're smokin'" she flashed her a quick grin and raised her glass to the newcomer before taking a swig. "Parker you say?"

"Yeah .. oh.. eh... Thanks."

Parker hadn't expected the answer. She didn't mean it like the lady took it. Sure, she wasn't unpleasant to look at but the link between her and the dancers really just was all the ink. But she was just a customer.

A bit taken a back by this woman's straight to the point attitude, Parker half regretted talking to her in the first place but her encrouching loneliness outweight the discomfort of a pointless conversation.

"You're quite good to look at yourself as well."

She had been bisexual for as long as she could remember and although Hex, with all her cyberware and ink wouldn't normally be the type Parker fell for, the fair skinned maidens she usually had her eyes on all lived in Westbrooke and were out of her scope and range now. And not just the maidens.

Lizzie's was the kind of venue you wouldn't see in the higher ends of town. Sure they had erotic bars and BD clubs and all that but their clientele was... different from here. Somehow though, Parker felt at ease here, half enjoying all the looks from people around her.

"Do you come here often Hex? Are you from around here?"

“N’aww, thanks, ain’t you a sweet one?” came her response effortlessly after she was paid the compliment. Hex wasn’t vain by any stretch but who didn’t enjoy being paid a compliment? She was no different from most other girls in that respect, it was always nice to be appreciated. Hex took another swig of her drink and let her eyes do a quick sweep over Parker’s body, there was a lot of it on display and Hex really did like what she saw. She really was stunning, hot enough to draw anyone’s eyes, hotter than a lot of the people that worked here.

Lexie tapped her fingers against ther bar and nodded her head in tune to the music, the electric synthwave sounds providing a mellow backdrop to the club, an easy to follow beat that anybody could move to.

“I do, often enough anyway, I move around.between a few places. I’m sort of a local, a little further south.” Hex finished her drink then and pushed the glass towards the bar keeper. She smirked at Parker before attracting the bartender’s attention. “Twos slammers, gracias”.

“So, I’m assuming you don’t? Never seen you before, I’d definitely have remembered you.” Hex reached out to run a hand up the other girl's arm with a light touch, her fingers sauntering over the pale skin of the other woman. “Also, ya kinda stand out. Not just because of your looks but… well, you ain’t from around here are you?”

The slammers came with a salt shaker and two wedges of limes. “You done a slammer before? Know how it works?”

"No... No I'm Westbro... Los Angeles."

She didn't want to brag or sound too out of place here in this place, even though, considering some other bars she had seen, Lizzie's wasn't too run down. The music was also a pleasant surprise. It wasn't too loud and quite pleasant on the ears.

Parker looked at Hex when the slammers and shaker was being brought and pouted her lower lip and shook her head.

"I haven't a fucking clue what it is. But surprise me."

Already, after just a minute or two, Hex had been the most pleasant company Parker had had in days so she leaned closer a bit onto the bar, waiting for Hex to demonstrate.

Hex licked her own hand and then took a hold of Parker’s so that she could lick that too. Lexie picked up the alt shaker and poured a little on both of their hands sticking to the newly formed wet patches. She flashed the other girl a quick wink and then smirked. The salt shaker was placed down and pushed away as she put a piece of lime between two of Parker’s fingers and then did the same with her own.

“L A huh? What brought ya to Night City? Also, do like I do, ya like the salt-” Hex raised Parker’s hand and licked the salt off of her hand instead of Hex’s own. “Take the shot-” she knocked the shot back quickly and closed her eyes for a brief second. “Then ya suck on the lime.” Once more Parker’s hand was brought to Hex’s lips and the blue haired girl bit on to it and began to suck for a couple of seconds before spitting it on to the bar.

“Simple. Now it’s your turn.” Hex raised her own hand now towards Parker’s mouth to give her a little bit of incentive.

She should have thought this through. Now she had to quickly think of a reason why she would be in Night City. Although somehow, lying about why she was here was hardly the biggest issue. Did this complete stranger just lick her hand? Twice? Parker knew of some weird drinking traditions and drinks but never had she had one or heard of one that involved licking other people's skin. The spitting on the bar especially had her wince.

"That's eh.. an interesting drink."

Not wanting to disappoint Hex, she licked the salt off of her hand, downed the shot and then bit on the lemon. It was quite the kick, not entirely to Parker's taste who preferred the sweet smooth cocktail she had ordered for herself but it was acceptable. Instead of spitting on the bar though, she raised the glass in which the shot had come to her lips and carefully spat in the glass, possibly giving away her posher upbringing.

Then she looked up at Lexie.

"This is why I came to Night City. So many stories of strange habits and things. I wanted to see for myself what it's like."

Hex watched the girl take her drink with a grin on her face, she loved watching people indulge a vice. She gave a quick cheer as she knocked the shot back. "Atta girl preem work." Hex picked up her cocktail again and chugged back another few drinks of her cocktail. Lexie stretched her hand out and felt it tingle as the alcohol continued to take a hold of her. She loved it, she loved the way sound distorted and the slight blur.

"Glad you like it, it's a favourite of mine." She beamed at the girl and flashed her a little smirk. "Plenty to see here, chica, lots in this city. You're lucky, if you need a guide then I'm happy to show you around, on one condition any way. So long as I get to take you on a date." Hex gave a little playful giggle and went back to drinking.

"So what kinda things you hoping to see girl? Clubs? The shops? Japantown? Maybe you wanna try out a BD while you're here? I can recommend one or two depending on what interests you. Just give me an idea." While Hex was being helpful and friendly she was also fishing for information from the other girl, trying to explore her tastes.

A date? It wasn't what Parker had expected but in all fairness, getting to know the real Night City, not the one she grew up in, would probably be done best with somebody who knew her way around.

She had just taken a sip of her other drink when Hex mentioned a BD. Parker half choked on her drink, put the glass down and raised her neck a bit to let whatever it was going down the wrong way get back up. Choking on her drink did give her some time to think about Hex' offer.

"No. No BD's. Unless it's a BD showing me around the city, which kind of defies the point of the tour."

Parker hoped she wouldn't sound too desperate regarding the BD.

"How about we go on a date where you show me some of your highlights? We can take it from there?"

She gave Hex a friendly smile, already taking a liking to this girl who, despite her ink and cyberware, wasn't half as intimidating as some of the other people she had met down town.

The girl was definitely out of her element and uncomfortable right now and that just made Hex amused, she liked seeing that from her, she liked seeing people on the back foot. She definitely was the most interesting person there right now, that was for sure. Hex chewed on one of her nails that was becoming just a little bit too long while the other woman spoke and she ended up raising a curious eyebrow.

“Say… considering you came to a BD bar you seem a little bit…off with Bd’s y’know? What happened? Someone snap a BD of you one time or something?” Hex gave a playful laugh then and went towards a fresh cocktail, this one was bright pink with bits of fruit stuck on the lip.

“Okay, then let’s do that, next weekend? I’ll need t’know what kinda things y’like. Oh, obviously I’ll need your deets too so I can stay in touch.” Hex grinned a warm welcoming grin. Bingo, girl, this is going perfect.

"Yeah well I didn't know this was a BD bar."

Had she known, she would have avoided it. The chances that somebody would actually recognize her with her clothes on and hair loose was slim and given the sheer number of new porn BD's coming on the market on a daily basis. Still, Parker had a bit of regrets for doing it. Especially after the ramifications her parents made her deal with.

She downed the rest of her cocktail in one go, swallowed it and waved at the bartender for another one.

"I just.. don't get the hype."

Parker was not ready to talk about it yet, especially not with a stranger. The idea of her father having seen and felt it still on her mind.

"I don't mind anything. I just want to see the city from a local perspective. The good and the bad. But don't get me killed or something like that."

She hoped, and kind of guessed that Hex wouldn't take her to Westbrook, or at least skip North Oak and Charter Hill.

"I'm staying in a hotel in the City Centre. I'll transfer you the deets now."

With that done and her new cocktail having arrived, she downed that in one single go as well before slamming the glass back on the bar.

Damned BD's.

Instead of sitting by the infinity pool listening to some music or watching some TV she was here in a sleazy bar, afraid to be recognized by people as one of Westbrooke Sluts.
