Hello hello,
I'm looking for new partners to write with, so here I am! I'll tell you a little more about myself as a roleplayer and what I'm specifically looking for below, so please do read the whole post before preferably DMing me
How I roleplay:
- I tend to write a minimum of 400 and can go up to 1500 words per reply. I do match what my partner is most comfortable with, but I'm hoping the average post length will fall within that range, because while I don't mind the occasional shorter post depending on what's happening in the roleplay, I do get bored easily with short replies.
- I write in 3rd person only. I don't really care what tense we're writing in though.
- Absolutely love plotting and planning! We don't have to lay out every single tiny detail if you're not into that, but I do enjoy coming up with ideas for scenes and the general plot. It keeps me excited about our roleplay and assures me that the plot is going in a direction that's fun for both of us.
- Kind of as an addition to the last one, I expect both of us to contribute to the plot and flow of the rp. Sometimes it's good to be more reactive and let your partner take the lead in a scene, but then taking the more proactive part in other scenes and bringing the plot/scene forward is also important, so only one of us doesn't need to do all the work. Similarly when we're planning, I want this rp to be our thing and not something only one of us came up with.
- I'm not able to write a reply daily. Sometimes I might even take a little longer than a week to reply (though I do try to reply at least a few times a week, and probably more often in the beginning of the rp). I don't expect you to reply right away either, although I hope we can still chat OOC between replies to the rp. If you feel like I'm taking too long to reply, feel free to poke me about it!
- Last but not least, if I suggest something you're not really feeling for the rp or just don't like the idea, do not be shy to let me know! Similarly, I'll tell you if I'm not into something you suggest. I don't want to include something in the rp that one of us isn't comfortable with or just doesn't like for whatever reason, so I expect my partners to be able to openly communicate with me like adult human beings I want us both to have fun and communication is the key!
Well, that's the boring part anyway. If you're still intrigued, let's get into what I'm actually looking for
So, I've been craving to do plots with some historical settings. I love themes like historical fantasy, arranged marriage, enemies to lovers, forbidden romance and tragedy that ends happily.
I enjoy playing sexually submissive characters (as in dom/sub dynamics) and I'm not too picky with the kinks I'm willing to include in the roleplay. You can see my list of faves and definite no-nos from my f-list here. Anything that is not on there, just ask! I'd say I'm looking for something with more plot right now, but a healthy dose of sex is never bad <.<
A theme I specifically like having in my roleplays has to do with playing around with class-differences. A noblewoman falls for a mercenary, a prince makes one of the servants his official lover or something such. I find it fascinating to play around with the differences in their lifestyles, having to adjust to something that's so alien to them and just the general struggles of life that they come across as a couple that's not only two totally different upbringings (and probably worldviews as well), but also frowned upon by society.
Anyway! My favourite settings are the Classical antiquity, ancient Egypt, European Medieval and Renaissance eras, Regency era, Golden Age of piracy and the Viking ages. Now, I do like some historical accuracy, but I'm by no means a nazi when it comes to that. We can also do a fantasy setting that just takes after one of these eras, so it doesn't matter if there are some inaccuracies - as long as your pirate captain character in the 1700s doesn't pop in for a hot shower on his ship or such.
If you have some plot ideas you'd like to see if I'd be interested in, don't be shy to suggest! I have written some of my own below, so if any of them sound interesting just send me a DM ^^

Plot ideas:
1)
My character (MC) is the next in line for the throne of her kingdom and engaged since childhood to a prince from their neighbouring nation. The kingdom is known for the royal family's immense wealth and political influence in their part of the world, but the king has kept his family in the dark about the squalor in which their subjects live. Food is scarce, taxes are high, corruption and violence run rampant and the king does nothing to help his people cultivate a better life for themselves. MC is known for her big heart and spirited personality, loved by the castle servants and nobility alike. Your character (YC) is the chosen leader of the rebellion that has been brewing under the surface, until it boils over and erupts into a civil war when the king once again demands higher tax from the people who are already barely surviving. A short-lived war indeed, with the rage of the people quickly overwhelming the royal guard and those of the king's soldiers who remain loyal to the throne. The castle is taken over by YC and his most capable men, the royal family executed like common criminals - all except MC. It turns out so many of the servants pled for her life that YC decided to spare her, if only out of intrigue for the love she seems to receive when YC has thought all royalty are the same.
Now YC faces the dilemma of what to do with MC. Send her into exile? Or perhaps keep her in the royal court to placate the dissenting voices of the nobility who YC still needs in order to make the kingdom better for the people? Maybe, some might say, YC should marry her to establish his right to rule in the eyes of the nobility and the world. But to get her to agree to help him in the first place, he'll have to break through the fiery wall she's put up - even when she must also, in part, prove to him that she's worthy of staying in her home rather than in exile. A looming threat of war from MC's enraged should-be-fiancé could just be what forces them to work together for the people.

In the ancient world where the Greek gods still reigned, MC is the daughter of a disgraced aristocrat, their family now living in a shamefully tiny villa on the countryside, far away from the eyes of the civilised society that they long to return to. Each night MC prays to a different god for a divine intervention, to return their family's glory and respect to what she had grown up with. YC is a minor god, still a young god, who has managed to anger one of the twelve major gods/goddesses. His punishment? Being sent down to live as a human until he finds a way to appease the one he angered. Stumbling into each other in a time of need, our characters form a pact - MC will help YC get back home to Olympus and, once there, YC will restore MC's family's fortunes.
The only problem they might face in the search for YC's godly powers; what if he doesn't want to leave after he finds the joys of humanity?

3)
Once upon a time our characters secretly fell in love. YC was the son of the blacksmith who regularly made pieces for MC's father - the governor of the region - and they couldn't help it. Once MC's father found out about the scandalous affair, YC and his family were given mere hours to pack their belongings and leave, or face the gallows. YC swore to MC he would return one day, wealthy enough to win her father over. It took ten long years, but YC's teenage flame for MC never died out; he became a pirate, amassed a large fortune and with it, a feared reputation. One day, his ship docked at the port of the city he was told never to return to, his heart tender with the memories of MC, only to find out she was engaged and to be married to another. Due to his impressive wealth, YC is welcomed into the upper-class with open arms and flattering smiles, but he soon notices the years apart have changed both MC and YC more than he had realised. The once wild and stubborn girl is now prim and proper, ready to marry a respectable man and live a boring life. The years of living on the sea have roughened YC, making the gentle upper-class living difficult to adjust to for him. Still, he spent ten years of his life for this, dreaming of this life. Maybe, with some time, that once wild and bright girl can be brought back from under the training MC has gone through and perhaps YC can find a way to make their lives work. If his past and his reputation don't catch up with him first.
4)
As a student of history, MC decides to spend her summer vacation touring the known viking sites in the Nordics. One of her treks to a more remote site finds her stumbling upon a runestone just off the path. What feels like a whirlwind passes over her and when she opens her eyes again, it is not ruins and a few worn out stone pillars that greet her, but a bustling city of people. Of, what appear to be, vikings. Given her suspicious modern clothing and obvious confusion, MC is taken to the jarl residing in the city. The jarl, being suspicious of MC but also inclined to believe her when she insists she's not a spy for his enemies, puts MC under surveillance. YC, the jarl's son, is chosen for the "babysitting duty", of which he's not entirely thrilled. MC now has to try to get out of the city and back to the runestone without seeming like she's trying to escape, while also having to adjust to the life of people over a thousand years before her time.
It isn't until a short time has passed since her arrival and she has won the trust of most of the people she resides with that MC gets back to the runestone. Nothing happens. That night, a mysterious visit from the seer of the community reveals to her that there have been others whisked through time. What she must do is change the course of history, change what's to come and if she succeeds, she should be able to return home. From her studies MC knows the current jarl was to become a king in the future, a cruel one. So much so that other warring clans made an alliance to kill him and his sons. So, perhaps her mission is to prevent his rise to power - and for that, she would have to employ YC's help in overthrowing his own father. But how does she get YC to trust her?

5)
MC was born into a peasant family so poor they could not afford to feed all their children. She would have been given to the nuns to be raised in the monastery just outside the city, but before MC could be taken there a woman came to the family and offered to pay them for the baby. And so, MC was given to the mysterious woman. She was one of the king's greatest assets; the one in charge of training the female spies and assassins. MC grew up in the shadows, being taught to kill, to lie and to steal. To hear without being seen, to see without being suspected. She was taught the etiquette and manners of proper ladies, but when she's finally sent on her first top level solo mission, MC is nervous. She arrives at the royal court of their enemy kingdom, disguised as a foreign noblewoman who had been robbed of her belongings during her travels and needing shelter. Her target; the king's highest advisor, a wise and learned man who posed a threat to MC's kingdom. What better way to get close to her target than seduce and charm the man's son, YC?
YC isn't a fool himself, but certainly lacks the years of life experience his father has. Despite his father's initial warnings, MC soon infiltrates the family and wins over their trust through YC. She learns crucial information, plants false information for the enemy kingdom to act upon and steals documents that reveal important future plans - but she also sees the warmth of the people who have taken her in, feels the freedom of a country that does not think of her only as a weapon of destruction and sees what a life she could lead if she only had a way to break free from her mission and her past. Can she trust YC enough to tell him of her true nature? Will he help her? These doubts are what cloud her judgement as she continues with her mission, until only one last job remains. She must assassinate YC's father, and for the first time she doesn't want to do a good job.
