What is it called…

…when neither partner is dominant or submissive? When two people are pretty on a level playing field in terms of control.

The reason I’m asking is because sometimes I get into conversations and dom/sub pops up (which is completely fair enough if it’s the other persons thing), but was there a way to include something in my original post that would have set the correct expectations? Maybe a term that I’m unaware of?

Also, I’m just curious to know!

I call it either 'switch' or 'non-D/s'. The prior if there's still elements of domination involved, it just varies who dominates who. The latter if there's no elements of domination involved.

I think most people refer to this as both characters being a "switch".
